Chapter 2

Dominican Republic, the one place I've always wanted to live but could never afford. Until this day that is.

Oil is gold here, and Dom, Hans, Tego, Reco, and I are creeping up on an oil truck right now, carrying three oil carts. Even one of these things can make us rich.

With my car in the shop, the plain was switched around a bit, meaning I ride with Dom and do most of the hard work. Which was going to be the plain anyways but this way I can annoy the heck out of my boys while I do it.

"All right, we're good to go," Dom said into the walky that was hooked to his car. His head quickly looked to me, "You got this?"

I smirked, crawling out of the window, "You bet your ass." My butt sat on the window, waiting for Dom to pull his car up closer to the last oil cart. "Don't do anything stupid."

My head looked back into the car, "Ride or die remember?" I said, causing Dom to smirk slightly as he looked back at the road. His attention stayed on the truck as I climbed onto the top of Dom's car, jumping off of it and onto the oil cart.

"Let's make some money boys," I said into my small ear piece that placed me in voicing distance of everyone else.

Dom went on the walky, reaching the other two cars and myself, "Everyone in position."

Hans came over the ear piece, "I thought we'd be robbing banks by now, not some gas truck in the middle of nowhere."

I smirked, climbing the ladder to the top of the last oil cart, making my way to the hooking station where cart 2 and 3 were hooked. "Haven't you done your research Hans? Down here, gas is gold."

Hans came back over the ear piece, "Of course you researched it."

"It might just save your ass someday," I said, descending down the other latter.

Dom came over the radio now, "Kill the chatter! Game time, hit it hard and fast. We got four K left before the downgrade."

I bent down, using my hose that was hooked to my strap that hung over my shoulders to freeze the metal that hooked the two cart together. Once the hook was frozen, I hung onto the second cart latter before kicking the hook.

"Locked and loaded," Han said, as I watched the last cart drive away from us, leaving Tego and Reco to the second one. Dom pulled ahead, keeping the truck at the right speed while not letting him pass.

Clearly, the truck driver was pissed because his horn went off every five seconds. "Okay, T, you're up," Dom said while I made my way on top of the second cart, heading for the hook.

Hans replied with a smartass comment, "Let's see if you can get it under six tries this time, huh, T?"

"It's more like three. Come on, Hans, keep it real," I said, balancing my way over the hook. I started to descend the second cart when Dom came back over the ear piece, "Just one K left. We're running out of road, get in there, brother."

Tego came over the speaker, this time speaking in English, "I got it, I got it."

I sprayed the hook, waiting for it to freeze up when the truck started to wave side to side. My hand gripped the latter tightly, but my body flung side to side like I was a dogs toy.

"Oh Shit!" Dom said, backing up his car to where T was. I looked over the oil cart, seeing where the road would make a sharp right turn, one that this truck would not make.

"T cut loose! Unhitch, unhitch!" Dom yelled before pulling up where I was. "Finish it!" Dom yelled to me through his open window. I kicked the hook once more, throwing my weight down on it. My feet scrapped the scrambled as the ground came into contact with them.

"Emily!" Dom yelled, but my other hand reached up, grabbing hold of the latter and pulling me up. My head looked, watching as Tego and Reco carried the second oil cart away. Immediately, my head turned to fine the driver jumping out, caused by the truck revving forward, almost to the edge.

"Jump Em!" Dom said, bringing my attention to him to find his car turned around. "Jump, I got you!"

My eyes watched as Dom's car got closer, causing my heart to race at realizing how far he really was from the truck. "So much for not doing anything stupid," I whispered to myself before jumping just as Dom slammed on the breaks so his car wouldn't join the oil truck over the edge.

Dom's hand grabbed mine, my body slamming against the hood of his car as it came to a screeching stop. His hand gripped mine until the car came to a full stop.

I looked up, meeting Dom's eyes as he starred at me with a worried look, "Sorry, I did something stupid," I said, partly out of breath.

After the day had passed and everyone had collected their money, I settled myself down by the beach. The sand warmed my bare feet while the full moon gave light to the ocean before me. The sound of racing cars were heard half a mile away, but it felt like they were right next to me.

"There she is," Dom's voice said, causing me to look over my shoulder to find him dressed in mostly all white like I was and walking towards me. "I thought you would have ran off by now," Dom joked, sitting next to me.

"You wish Toretto," I said, taking a small swig of my beer. Dom and I both starred out into the ocean, neither one saying a word for a minute.

"The cops are getting hungrier," Dom said, breaking the silence and causing me to look at him. "And getting close," He said, his eyes watching me with a blank expression.

My lips parted slightly, "So, looks like we're running."

Dom shook his head slowly, his eyes trained to me like a magnet. "Not you, you should head back home. Your around when they find me, all hell will ran on you."

Quickly I sat my beer down, moving so I was sitting on my knees, completely facing him. "You are my family, you've always been my family. You, Mia, Brain, everyone, you're the only family I got right now."

Dom looked at the ground, clearly saddened by my words. I sat my hand on his cheek, making him look at me, "Rid or die, that's our thing. Now you've sacrificed so much for me. Money, cars, getting the hell out of that town. Now I can pay you back and you're refusing it."

"I don't' want you to pay me back," Dom whispered, his eyes sticking to mine. His words saddened me and in that moment, I knew what my sister felt like three days ago.

"I'm a walking target. I don't want you around when they catch up to me." As if Dom called the ending, he stood up and started to walk away.

Quickly, my feet brought me up, carrying me over to him. I grabbed his arm, ready to yell at him. My eyes caught his and for a second I didn't know what words to say or what actions to pull. Then my mind reminded me what was happening. He was leaving me.

I slapped Dom's chest, "You promised you wouldn't leave." I slapped his chest again, "You promised that we would stick together, that you'd always be there for me." I started to continuous slap his chest, barley doing any damage to him as I let the tears fall.

"You promised we'd stick together. You promised Dom, you promised," I said, stopping when Dom used both of his hands to grab mine. I started to settle down some but the tears still rolled down my cheeks, "Please don't leave me. I can't go back, I can't lose you."

Dom watch me with hurt and sadness in his eyes. He slowly leaned down, his lips meeting mine. I wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him closer to me as he kissed me, but then he pulled away.

He reached up, unhooking his cross necklace and holding it up in his hand. "I'll be back for this, so keep it safe."

I held out my hand, watching as he lowered the cross and chain into my hand. I starred at it for at least a minute before looking back up, expecting to meet Dom's eyes but instead I meet the dark air.

Dom's body started to walk away, heading towards his car. I quickly started to run to the right of me, dipping and ducking under braches that threatened to hit me in the face.

My feet were still bare but I had ran barefoot for so long that the cement didn't bother me one bit. I finally broke out of the few trees, finding Dom getting into his car.

Once again, my feet ran toward the car, reaching it only to pick me up and slip me inside of his car.

Dom looked over at me, surprised as his engine roared to life. Out of breath, I managed to say, "You're not, leaving me." Dome just stared at me, "Especially not after that kiss."

Panic was still hidden in my voice, worried that Dom would get out, pick me up out of the passenger seat, and drive off. But he didn't, he starred at me as he put the car into gear, ready to drive. A smile rushed to my face as my breath let out a sigh of relief.

No way was Dominic Toretto leaving me, not like that.

So, I know I said this takes place in Fast 5 and this is from Fast 4, but originally I was going to start it in Fast 4 then decided to do Fast 5. I didn't want to start all over and liked how all of this flowed together so I'm starting Fast 5 in the next chapter, hoping it flows well too.
