Chapter 32

Star

Stiles sat on the steps outside of the school as I stood next to him with two dark spirits behind us. I had on some dark jeans, black boots, black top, and these black gloves that had little holes everywhere on then that started at my fingers. Derek walked up to us, turned into a werewolf “hello Derek” I said with a smile “hello Star” Derek said almost a whisper. “Did you bring us a prescient” Stiles asked with a smile as Derek set down the small box “I brought two” Derek said as the twins walked up from behind Derek.

“I've heard of an Alpha pack Derek, but not a pack of former Alphas. It's a little sad, don't you think” Stiles asked me “very; I'd love to stay and watch but I have some things to take care of” I said and changed into a wolf, running off. “I might not be an Alpha anymore, but I can still fight like one” Derek said as they started to fight with the dark spirits.

Scott

Lydia, Stiles, Kira, and I stood, looking around the snowy place as all of a sudden the Kitsune stumbled out from behind a corner. Kira polled out the sword, the only thing that could kill it as it stopped in its place. All of a sudden someone else came from where the Kitsune was and there stood Star, standing next to the Kitsune with a smile. Her eyes glowed red for a second before turned back to normal “like I promised Stiles, we're going to kill all of them, one, by, one” the Kitsune said as Star raised her hand and turned her wrist making the dark spirits appear. “Like my new trick” Star asked with a smile, lowering her hand.

One of the dark spirits went to hit me with the sword but Kira quick stopped it as we back away a bit. “What the hell is this, where are we” I asked “between life and death” Star said as her and the Kitsune took a few steps forward. “Bardo” Lydia said “very good Lydia, but there are no peaceful deities here Lydia. You're dying, Stiles” “and now everyone you care about is dying too” the Kitsune said. “What, what do you mean” Stiles asked almost a whisper. “I've captured almost all of the territories on the board Stiles, the hospital, the sheriff's station, and now the animal clinic” the Kitsune said.

“Did you know that when a samurai disembowels himself with his own sword to maintain his honor, but that's not the cut that kills him. The killing stroke is made by his kaishakunin, who beheads the samurai with his own katana. In other words the person that kills the person that's dieing” Star said “Scott, Scott is your kaishakunin. I'm going to make your best friend kill you, Stiles and you're going to let him, because just like you, they're all going to die. Everyone touched by a dark spirits blade, unless, Scott kills you first” the Kitsune said.

“Why, why are you doing this” Stiles asked “to win the game” the Kitsune said as the dark spirits started to fight us. “How is this happening, how are we in this place” I asked as I was back to back with Kira “you're asking me. A month ago, I'd never even touched a sword” Kira said as we started to fight again.”

“This can't be real” Lydia said “yeah, tell that to them” Stiles said as we continues to fight. All of a sudden I looked over and saw Kira's sword in Stiles's hand “Stiles no, Stiles” “what if it saves you, what if it saves Star, what if it saves all of you” Stiles said. “What if it's just another trick” Lydia asked “no more tricks, Lydia” Star said with a smile. “End it Scott, let your friend fall on his own sword, do for him what he cannot do for himself, do it Scott, be his kaishakunin” the Kitsune said.

“Give up the game, you have no moves left” Star said and Stiles looked at something threw the sword. “I do” Stiles threw the sword back to Kira “a divine move. Stop fighting them, it's an illusion, you have to stop fighting them. It looks real and it feels real, but Scott, you gotta trust me, it's an illusion” Stiles said to me. I looked at the Kitsune and started to walk threw the dark spirits and everyone fallowed as we got slashed left and right. I looked up and saw that Star had left as we kept walking until we came up to the Kitsune and I pushed him into the dark that was behind him and we were back in the school.

“We're okay. We're” I started but all of a sudden someone threw me as I hit the lockers and looked up to see evil Stiles and Star. They threw Kira as well and looked down at us “this was our game” Star said and they both looked up at Stiles and Lydia. “You think you can beat me at my game” evil Stiles said as they started to walk towards Lydia and Stiles. “Divine move, divine move, you think you have any moves at all, you can kill the Oni. But us, me, I'm a thousand years old, you can't kill me” evil Stiles said.

“But we can change you” Lydia quick said and everyone stopped “what” “you forgot about the scroll” Stiles said. “The Shugendo scroll” Lydia said as evil Stiles realized what they were talking about “change the host” he said in a bit of a scared voice. “You can't be a fox and a wolf” Stiles said mad as Scot laid a claw on evil Stiles and bit his arm. Evil Stiles started to scream and Kira put the sword threw him as thunder cracked outside. He fell to his knees and a bug flew out of his mouth as it started to fly away but Issac caught it in the small box.

Evil Stiles started to freeze up and cracked in different places before disappearing like dust on a windy day. We looked behind us as we saw Star barring her claws and teeth and her eyes glowed red. She growled at us “Scott remember when you howled when we were looking for Malia” Stiles quick said as Star started to walk up to us. “Ya, what about it” I asked “howl” Stiles quick said and I stopped in my spot and howled, an Alpha howl. Star fell to her knees and held her hands to her ears and screamed as it shook the school.

Then it all stopped as Star breathed heavily, trying to catch her breath as she looked at the ground in front of her. I walked up to her and as she looked up and stood up “am I me” Star asked me “ya, I think so” I said with a smile as we hugged each other and then Stiles fainted. After a few minuets Stiles opened his eyes “oh God, I fainted, didn't I” Stile asked as we all sat around him and I nodded my head.

“We're alive, we all alive” Stiles asked “yeah, we're okay” I said as Lydia looked up like she was worried.

Derek

I held onto Aiden as he polled the sword out of him and sat there bleeding as Ethan and Chris walked over to us. Ethan knelt down to him as Aiden sighed “does it hurt you as much as it hurts me” “yeah” Ethan said as they both tried not to cry. “It's okay” Aiden whimpered “Lydia never believed I was one of the good guys anyway”. I chuckled a bit “she'll believe me” I said as Ethan held Aiden as he closed his eyes. I looked up to see Lydia as she ran out from the school and stopped, turning around and running into Stiles's arms, hugging him.

I stood up and walked over as Star walked towards me, meeting in the middle. “Star” I asked “ya, its me” Star said and I hugged her as she hugged me back.

Scott

I went home and sat at the kitchen table with my arms crossed as Allison's death finally sunk in. My mom sat down next to me holding me as I cried in her arms.

Issac

I walked out of the Argent house carrying the box and put my bag in my car, driving off.

Lydia

“I wish I could say something to him, I wish I could say something to all of them Kira said as I out some books away in my locker. “But I don't how much space or how much time I'm supposed to give them and I know I'm still just the new girl at school” Kira said and I turned around seeing Malia walking down the hallway and talking with coach.

Stiles

Scott, Malia, and I stood in Scott's room as we were teaching Malia how to control her coyote. “It's okay, don't think about it too much, just try to let it happen” Malia threw out her hand a frew times and nothing happened until her claws came and she smiled and jumped up and down “ah, wow” Malia said and throwing her claws in Stiles's face as he back up a bit with a laugh “oh, I am so sorry” Malia said with a laugh.

Ethan

Danny and I sat on the school's stairs “I'm sorry, I just don't think I can stay” I said “actually, it's okay” Danny said and I looked at him with a small smile. “You're breaking up with me” I asked with a laugh “I, I like you, a lot, you're incredibly good looking, and smart, and sweet. I, I just don't think I can do it” Danny said “date me” I said for him “date a werewolf” Danny said and I looked at him surprised and shocked “you knew” “dude, it's Beacon Hills” Danny said and I smiled before getting up and leaving.

Scott

I was sorting threw some things as Deaton walked into the room “have you ever heard the term "regression to the mean"” “no” I said. “It's a bit of a technical way of saying things will always even out” “like things will always get better” I asked? “More like things can't always be bad” “so, no matter how bad things get” “or how good” Deaton said. “They always come back to the middle” I said “Regression to the mean” “I'm not so sure that applies to a town like this” I said with a smile as Deaton chuckled “yes, you might be right

“There's someone here to see you” Deaton said to me with a smile as I looked at him confused and walked out of the back and into the front reveling Star standing there. “I have a message from someone” Star said to me with a smile as I looked at her confused as she told me to sit down in the chair. I sat down and looked forward as she stood behind me and barred her nails into the back of my neck. I tensed up and closed my eyes.

I opened my eyes showing I was in the woods, dark outside. I turned around as I heard someone from behind me. I looked to see Isabel standing with her purple and white dress, white high heals, and her hair down but parted to the side. “Isabel” I said surprised and confused but at the same time happy to see her. She walked up to me and smiled “I never did get to say goodbye” Isabel said with a smirk. “How are you here” I asked “lets just say I've been bother Star's mind trying to get her to talk to you” Isabel said.

“Your upset about something” Isabel asked, studding me “ya, I mean I never got to say goodbye and didn't even know you were dead until a few weeks ago” I said. “That's not the reason, is it” Isabel asked me as I sighed “you can't choose” “I knew I had feelings for Star but when she chose Derek I tried to just ignore what I was feeling. Then Kira showed up and everything changed, but there was still a small part of me that still had feelings for Star” I said.

“Now you realize that you love Star, even more then you do Kira” Isabel said like she could read my mind. I smiled “you always did like getting into my head” “hey whats the fun living a normal life” Isabel said. I laughed and smiled at her “I think you know what to chose, your just scared that once you chose something will happen like with Allison” I nodded my head. “All I can say is chose the one that makes you howl, like a true alpha” Isabel said and disappeared as my eyes swung open.

I looked around as Star came out from behind me “I guess she finally got threw to you” Star said to me with a smile. “Ya” I said looking at the ground in front of me as Star knelled down in front of me. “I guess you heard all of that” Scott said “not all of it, my mind sorta wondered after a few minuets into your conversation” Star said and I smiled doing a small laugh as well. I looked up at Star and into her eyes “listen, I moved out of Derek's” I looked at her surprised.

“What, why” “I realized that I do really loved Derek” Star paused for a moment “but I can't help but have feelings for someone else. Someone who always triggers the wolf inside me too” Star said “listen, Issac left so if you need a place to stay, you can always stay with me” I said. Star smiled at me and I leaned in a kissed her as she kissed me back and we polled away with a small smile. What Isabel said confused me at first about “choose the one that makes you howl, like a true alpha”. Now it seemed to make sense a bit more.

Derek

I sat up from a sleep I was in as these hunters that we're chasing us a while back came in “now, my friend, you're gonna tell us about la loba, where is the she wolf” the hunter asked. “You should just go ahead and kill me, cause you're never going to find Star” I said mad. “Star, who the hell is Star” the hunter asked as I looked at him confused. Then all of a sudden all of these guns went off.

Derek's Head

“Who was it” Stiles asked as we sat in the boys locker room “there's a lot of myths about how people can be turned into a werewolf. Usually a bite or being born into it” “like Star” Stile said “yes, there's one about rain water” I said “drinking rain water out of the puddle of a werewolf's print” Stiles finished “there's another one, if a scratch goes deep enough it could change you” I said. “Derek, if you think all of that is a dream, why do you look so worried” I looked up at Stiles. “Because I don't remember waking up, so tell me, how do you know? How do you know if you're still dreaming” I asked Stiles “your fingers, in dreams you have extra fingers”.

I quick grabbed Stiles's hand and counted six fingers on his hand.

Derek

I fell to the ground, shot by some sort of bullet “it's real” I whispered to myself as I looked up and the dust finally started to clear “you're real” I said as Allison's aunt walked out with a smile “that's right, Derek, and if seeing me is a surprise, watch this” she growled and turned into something I've never seen before.

Star

I walked in the woods, throwing a few rocks her an there until I heard a noise and stopped, turning round. “Hello Star” “hello Deucalion” I said as he smiled at me “my you've changed since” he started “since you killed me” I finished “but I did save you” Deucalion said and I looked at him confused. “You dug up my grave” I said “that's right” he said with a smile “but I have some more surprises for you, and this one is a shocker” Deucalion said and I looked at him confused.

All of a sudden I looked over as someone walked out from behind Deucalion “hello daughter” my mom said with a evil smile. I stood there shocked “how” I said. “Same way with you, but I turned her” Deucalion said as my mom barred her claws and teeth and growled at me.
