Chapter 9

Star

“Did you find anything” Styles asked us “nothing, if he was here hes not here anymore” I said as Styles sighed. “I know he was there” Lydia said “maybe he left” I said “no, I can still feel it” “alright listen why don't we find more out on this guy before we get into something that we have no idea about” Scott said. “Deal” Styles said “I can't, I'm going to go talk to the twins then see Derek” I said “besides I have some research that I want to do” I said.

I walked until I reached the library and got on a computer. It felt like forever since I've been at the library, then again I don't I really have stepped in a library very much. I started to look up somethings, first I looked up about Deucalion but nothing popped up. I didn't really know Deucalion's real name so that didn't help.

After awhile of finding nothing I sighed and decided to go to Derek's as I walked down the street I texted Derek, telling him I was going to come over. As I walked I heard someone behind me and quick turned around, not seeing anyone then went I turned back around I saw Barrow as he knocked me out with a brick to my head.

Scott

“Uh The pizza was good” I said to Kira as we just finished eating at her house “you seem like a really nice guy, and not just because you kept me from getting eaten by a coyote”. I laughed as did she “did I do something else” “yeah, you remembered my name” all of a sudden I'm knocked out. When I woke up I saw Styles and Lydia “Scott, Scott, Scott” “Barrow, he took Kira” “we know, he took Star as well; he was after her the whole time” Styles said.

“We have to think of something, he's going to kill them” I said trying my best not o freak out. “I knew he was there, how did I know that” Lydia asked “because you heard the flies, right? What do you hear now” Styles asked “nothing, I feel like I can do this, but I don't know what to do. It's like it's on the tip of my tongue, and I don't know how to trigger it. I just I swear to God, it literally makes me want to scream” Lydia said getting annoyed.

“Okay, then scream. Lydia, scream” Styles said as all of a sudden Lydia screams as it hurts my ears a bit. “It's not flies, it's electricity” Lydia said “wait a second, Barrow was an electrical engineer. He worked at a power substation” Styles said “what substation” I asked still trying not to freak.

Star

I woke up and looked around as my head hurt, I looked around as it was sorta dark inside and saw that I was at a substation for an electrical engineer. I looked over and saw Kira tied to a fence just like I was “Kira” I whispered as she looked over at me “Star” she asked confused “don't worry, I'll get you out of here” I said as someone walked in the room.

Kira and I looked over and saw Barrow with her phone “what are you doing” Kira asked him as he looked like he was going to take her pitcher. “Right now, I'm gonna take your picture” Barrow said “just a little proof of our time here together. A little proof for all of those people who never believed”. He took the pitcher “okay, you got your picture, you want to let me go now” she asked.

Barrow smiled and stood up, walking over to me “let her go Barrow” I said, mad “not now” he said bending down and grabbing my neck, hard. “Show yourself” he said to me still holding my throat “show your fangs, your eyes” he said as I was silent. “I knew you wouldn't show yourself” he said with a smile before stabbing my side “Star” Kira yelled as I winced in pain.

Barrow polled out the knife he stabbed me with before standing up “its ok Kira” I said to her. Barrow walked over to Kira “did you ever see a movie called Village of the Damned, the original. Not the remake, nobody cares about crappy remakes. I'm talking about the 1960 black and white masterpiece” Barrow said as Kira looked at him confused.

“It's about this group of children. Blonde-haired, beautiful children who can make their eyes glow. And they do terrible, terrible things. The tag line on the poster read, "Beware the stare that will paralyze the will of the world." Now, when I told everyone that I saw children with glowing eyes, they wouldn't believe me. I tried to get them to do something. But they wouldn't budge. They wouldn't move. As if they had been paralyzed. I am going to shake them out of their paralysis. I'm going to get them moving. I'm going to I am going to galvanize them” Barrow said.

Scott

“Wait here, all right, just wait for the cops to come” Styles told Lydia as she sat in his jeep “me, wait, why”? “I only got one bat” Styles said as I was about to go inside when, out of know where Derek jumps in front of me “Derek” I asked confused “wheres Star” Derek asked. “Barrows got her” I said as we both ran inside.

Star

As Barrow was talking I was trying to brake free out of what ever he had tied around my arms. Finally I was able to get out just as Scott and Derek ran in “Kira” Scott said as Barrow stood up and looked at me then at Scott “Scott” Kira yelled to him. “I should have guessed that thous wouldn't hold you, but this might” Barrow said, smiling at me and electrocuting me.

I flew threw the air as I hit a wall and Derek ran over to me “get her out of here” Scott told Derek as he picked me up and ran out. After awhile of fighting Kira was just about to be shocked when out of no where it bounces off of her and every where the lights go out.
