Chapter 5

Scott

“Of course you're still team captain, you got you're grades the way coach wanted them right” Stiles asked me as we headed to the field. “Yeah, but he never told me I was back on the team he just told me to show up for try outs today” I said. “Yeah, well we got bigger things to deal with anyway; did you tell Argent yet” Stiles asked me? “I texted him but he didn't get back to me” Stiles looked at me like I was crazy.

“You told him his sister Kate came back from the dead over a text” “well I didn't have the money to call France” I said. “Yeah you think you have money problems try paying for an MRI to visit the Liking house” “another notice” I asked? “Yeah this one said final” Stiles said with a sigh. “Hey listen have you seen Star anywhere” I asked “no, now that I think about it, I haven’t seen her at all today” Stiles said realizing it.

“Well the morning I woke up to see her bags were packed and she was gone, the only thing I got was a text that said “I'm sorry”” I said worried. “You don't think she ran off do you” “I hope not but knowing Star, she probable did” I said worried. “What are we doing here anyways, we have like a hundred and seventeen million problems and one of them isn't worrying about are statues on this team is not one of them” Stiles said.

I looked behind me “it is now” I said as Stiles turned around and we saw a guy catching every ball that came his way. We both couldn't believe our eyes “who the hell is that” Stiles asked “nice Liam, you may just be our first freshman captain” one of the team mates said to the guy I'm guessing is called Liam. “Yeah, maybe we should practice a little bit” Stiles said and I nodded as we headed on the field.

After Stiles and I talked to this Liam guy we headed to class and got a text about a murder. “An axe murder” Kira asked as we walked down the hallway “a family murder” Stiles said “I, already heard about it” I said as I look threw the hallways trying to find Star. “What, you did, how” Stiles asked me “my mom called me” I said “perfect lets go” Stiles said “wow, we got class in five minuets” I said stopping at my locker.

“Right, did you forget the family murder, the axe murder” Stiles asked me? “Did you forget that you're dad's the sheriff, they want us to stay out of it” I said and Stiles sighed “never heard anything so irresponsible;e in my life” Stiles joked and left. I sighed and saw Star walking down the hallway wearing her black jacket and a pair of sunglasses. “Hey so you know that thing we were going to talk about” I said to Kira quick and she nodded. “Yeah, can we talk later after tryouts, can you wait that long” I asked?

Kira nodded “great” I said and quickly walked past her and up to Star who was trying to walk away from me. “Wow, wait, Star” I said and grabbed her arm making her turn around to look at me. “Where have you been, I tried calling you all day” I asked her and she looked at the ground “sorry, I have to go” was all she said and started to wak away again.

Star

I tried my best to get away from Scott but it was not working “whats wrong” Scott asked me? “Nothing” I said and Scott sighed annoyed and grabbed my arm, polling me into an empty classroom. “Okay, start talking, why weren’t you at the house the morning, I tried calling Derek and you weren't there ether” Scott said. “I can't -” I started “tell me” Scott said mad. I looked at him “you want to know why I wasn't at home, or at Derek's, or any place was because I was trying to leave” I said.

Scott looked at me confused “why were you trying to leave” I sighed “because, because I have feelings for you Scott. I have feelings for you, I have feelings for Derek, and to top it off I don't know who I'm mated to at this point” Scott looked at me confused. “I went and talked to Deaton and he told me that me calling out Derek's name was what brought him back to him, so I could be mated with him again or I'm still mated with you, I don't know” I said confused.

“That's why I was trying to leave, because I have feelings for you Scott and I don't want to, I mean you have Kira but at this point every time that I'm with you I just want to kiss you” I said not believing what I just said out loud. Scott looked at me surprised and in shock “I'm sorry” I said with a sigh and looked at the ground before fast walking out of the room.

Scott

“Star wait” I called to her but she was already gone.

I sighed and turned around to bump into Kira “hey sorry, I'll see you after school” I said and gave her a quick kiss before walking to class. I sat down and just realized I kissed Kira “oh god” I said shocked. After school Stiles and I met in the boys locker room “it was our first kiss, like our real first kiss” I said. “That's good, you kissed her” Stiles said “I did, but I didn't” I said. “On lips” Stiles asked “yeah” “was there tongh involved” Stiles asked me? “No, it was, it was like the way you kiss you're grandmother” I said.

Stiles nodded “okay” Stiles said “and to top it off I saw Star today” I said and Stiles looked at me confused. “Why is that bad” “becuase, she told me she was trying to run away because she has feelings for me and Derek” I said. “I thought she broke up with Derek, leaving him heart broken” Stiles asked? “She did, but she did because of me, then I started to have feelings for Kira and now it's all messed up” I said with a sigh.

“Do you” Stiles asked me “do I what” “have feelings for Star” I sighed “yeah, I mean a little, I don't know” I said confused. “Well who do you like more” Stiles asked me and I looked at him “I don't know” I said upset. Today ever spot was open including captain so I knew I had a hard chance with Liam around. Liam came in first for the track part “there's no way he's human, what is he like a were-cheetah” Stiles asked “or he's just really fast” I said.

Stiles rolled his eyes at me and it was time to start trying to shoot. When Liam was up he ended up making it right away, every time he shot he made it. “I don't believe this guy” Stiles said to me “yeah, you and me both” I said and went up to shoot. I took a deep breath and smiled before throwing the ball to have to not even hit the net. I couldn't believe my eyes, every time I tried to shoot I missed.

“What is going on with you” Stiles asked me “I don't know, I guess I'm just side tracked” I said.

Star

I walked over to the field and took my sunglasses off and sat down in front of Kira and Malia. I watched as Scott was completely failing and sighed, shaking my head “I thought the captain was suppose to be the best on the team, or at least good” Kira asked upset. I stood up and walked over to the side of the bleachers and called Scott over. He ran over “what is wrong with you, you're doing as bad as Stiles” I asked?

“I don't know” Scott shrugged “is it what I said earlier” I asked feeling guilty “a little” Scott shrugged. I sighed “listen Scott I'm sorry about what I said, I was just confused and mad, just ignore it”. “First off you can't just say something like that to me and run off, second I can't just forget about what you said” Scott said. I sighed and looked at the ground shaking my head.

“I'm going to regret this after words” I said to myself as Scott looked at me confused. I walked up to him and kissed him for a second, surprising him, but what surprised me more was the fact that he kissed me back. I polled away and looked at Scott who looked at me surprised “now go kick some ass captain” I said with a smirk before h smiled back and ran off.

I took a deep breath and stood there, watching Scott make some shots before heading over to Derek's. I haven't seen him since he turned back to himself. I took a deep breath before opening the door and walking inside the place. Everything was exactly the way it was before. Derek turned around from a table and looked at me surprised to see me “hey” I said awkward “hi” Derek said. “Sorry for just walking in” I said “it's okay, I guess I'm just still getting use to it” Derek said. I sighed and nodded.

“So, did you find out where Kate was” I asked him to change the subject “no, I have a girl named Braeden out looking for her”. I looked at Derek and smiled “what” he asked me as I sat down on the couch “nothing, she helped us before when we were trying to find you” I said. Derek nodded and put some papers down and walked over, kneeling in front of me.

“So, do you remember anything that happened wen you were, little you” I asked? Derek thought for a second “bits and peaces, I remember having a huge crush on you” Derek said with a smile. I laughed making him laugh as well until it drew silent “I'm sorry” I said making Derek look up. “I shouldn't have broken up with you like that” I said feeling guilty.

“It's okay, you were trying to figure out who you like” Derek said with a shrug but I knew he wasn't to happy. I sighed “I still haven't” I said and Derek nodded and looked at the ground as I was almost hurt inside. Derek looked back up at me “I told you I would wait for you, and I am” Derek said to me. I did a small smile before I knew it I was leaning in to kiss Derek as he was doing the same for me.

I kissed Derek, I had missed his kiss for so long. I polled away as Derek looked at me “I've wanted to do that for a long time” Derek said to me and I couldn't help but blush a bit. “I should, I should get going” I said and stood up making Derek stand up as well “I'll see you, maybe tomorrow” I said and Derek nodded “okay”. I nodded my head and left, heading back to the school.
