Chapter 18

Star

I ran threw the tunnels as one of the Berserkers were chasing after me, trying to catch me. Kate tried to put the mask on but before she could I changed into a wolf and ran off. I knew if I was a wolf I would be able to escape and that's what Kate thought as well so I staid a human after running for awhile. Scott was turned into one of the Berserkers so I couldn't kill any of them, afraid that I may be hurting Scott.

I walked quietly and slowly threw the tunnels, looking around until I heard Kate talking and stopped, peeking around a corner and seeing Kira sitting on the ground "we let you out because I needed to test his loyalty" Kate said. "Did you know that Scott became an Alpha without having to kill anyone? He's been through quite a lot without ever having to kill. I think it's time to change that" Kate said as Scott pulled out a knife, stabbing Kira. I gasped slightly, covering my mouth and quickly turning away.

Derek
Braeden and I stood in front of a long table, filled with guns. "I still don't like relying on these things" I said with a sigh "I get it, you miss your power, I would too" Braeden said "it's not about power, it's about being able to help, it's about saving" I stopped, afraid to finish. "About saving Star" Braeden finished for me and I sighed "I don't like feeling helpless" I said a little mad.

"I'm human, do I look helpless" Braeden said "you're a much better shot than me" I said with a smile. "Do you really think you won't be coming back" Braeden asked putting down a gun and taking a step towards me "not alive" I said quietly "you know I'm not okay with that" she said and I sighed looking up at her "but I am, if it saves Star, and Scott and Kira" I said.

"You still love her" Braeden asked but we both knew the answer. I looked at the ground "if you love her then why are you standing here with me"? "I don't know, I mean, I like you yes, but I think part of me was just upset that Star wasn't who she use to be, she doesn't need my help anymore. When she was just human she did, now she's stronger then me, then any of us" I said still looking at the ground while leaning on my hands on the table.

"You mean you're upset because you're girlfriend is stronger then you even if you were still a werewolf" Braeden asked with a smile. I laughed a little "to be honest, I don't even know if this is enough firepower to take down one Berserker" I said and pointed to the guns. "Not even close" Peter said, walking down the stairs and into the room.

"Killing a Berserker is next to impossible. It's not just the firepower, it's breaking the animal spirit from the human" Peter said. "Well, the one person we know with that kind of experience is Argent, and he's not getting back to me" I said "have you tried Star's phone, she seems to have been talking to her a lot" Peter says. Braeden and I looked at Peter confused.

"Stiles found these at Star's apartment" Peter threw a back full of knives and guns. I picked up on of the guns "so what, Star use to be a hunter, if I was once a hunter I'd still keep all of my guns" Braeden said. "Star burned all of her stuff awhile back, she wouldn't be able to buy all of these" I said looking at the bag. "Well, then you're going to need help. Like Malia, maybe Liam, definitely me" Peter said.

Star
After a few minuets everyone left and I quickly ran over to Kira "Kira" I said and knelt down in front of her. "Star" Kira said surprised to see me as I moved her hand to see her wound. "How are you" "not one of them" I finished for Kira "well, long story short, it's going to take a lot more then a few chains to hold a pissed off alpha of alphas" I said with a slight smile.

"I need to get up, I need to tell them" Kira said and tried to stand up but fell back down "tell who what" I asked Kira. "Scott, he's going after them, after everyone" Kira said in pain. I look at her "you need to heal" I told Kira "I, I can't" "yes you can, you just need to learn" "I can't, I don't know how, how to start, or what to do" Kira said. "Okay, listen to me, foxes and wolves their different but they are also alike. "You see how Scott and I heal, how do we do it" I asked Kira?

Kira thought for a second "pain, with pain" Kira said and looked at me. I nodded my head and threw out my hand, making my claws grow as I looked at Kira one last time before pushing my claws into her leg and taking them out. Kira's eyes turned a gold and she started to heal. I heard gun shots and I knew so did Kira "I have to go, I promise I'll be right back" I said to Kira before starting to run and changed into a wolf, busting threw the church doors.

I saw Braeden shooting at one of the Berserkers and I quickly charged for it, pinning ti to the ground and growling in their face before they flipped me over and ran off. "I'm fine, I'm fine, just get to Scott" I heard Derek say to everyone and they all left, going inside. Derek was holding his side as I turned to look at him before changing back. Dirt was all over me and my hair was all messed up.

"Star" Derek said to me "Derek" I said and ran over to him, hugging him a little, trying not hurt him. "I never thought I'd be so happy to see you" Derek said as I moved his hand and looked as the blood showed threw his shirt. He was losing a lot of blood. "We need to stop the bleeding" I said taking off my jacket that was already ripped. "Hey, hey" Derek said grabbing my arm, stopping me.

"I love you" Derek said to me, looking in my eyes, surprising me. I looked at him in shock for a second "I love you too" I said and gave him a quick peck on the lips before holding my jacket on his wound. "Lydia was right" Derek said, talking about how Derek's name was the password. I looked at him before putting a little more strength on the wound, making Derek hiss in pain.

"That's for sleeping with Braeden" I said before kissing Derek "and that's for coming to save me" I whispered against his lips. Derek smiled a little. A growl was heard, I knew one of the Berserker were coming. Derek pulled out a gun from his jacket pocket making me look at the gun and at him. "Since when do you like guns" I asked "since I haven't been healing" Derek said. Derek looked in pain as I looked at him "stay with me, you're gonna be okay. You need to stay with me, you still need to kick my ass for kissing Scott" I said with a little smile.

Derek chuckled a little "it's a mortal wound, and right now I'm feeling pretty mortal" "I'm not gonna let you die" I told Derek. Derek held onto the jacket while I stood up and walked over to an old building looking behind it a few times, waiting for someone to come. I looked back over again and saw a Berserkers and Kate. "Great" I whispered to myself before growing my claws and taking a deep breath.
