Chapter 15

Kira, Liam, Stiles, Scott, and I stood around a table at Scott's house. Kira, Stiles, and Liam sat there laptops down. “Is three enough” Kira asked “depends on how many cameras they have, but I think so” Stiles said, talking about the hospital. “Are we really doing this” Liam asked “we're doing it, tonight” Scott said. “I still think this is a bad idea, I mean I am stronger then you so I should be the one to do this” I said. “No, it has to be me” Scott said. “But isn't it kind of dangerous” Liam asked “it's incredibly dangerous, and borderline idiotic” Stiles said.

“Have you guys done something like this before” Liam asked “something dangerous or something idiotic” I asked? “I think it's a yes to both” Kira quickly said “you don't have to be part of it if you don't want to” Scot said to Liam “no, I want to, besides, then I get to spend some time with my sister” Liam said looking at me, making me look up at him. “Still need to get use to that” I said “I'm not scared” Liam said to everyone “then you're borderline idiotic” Stiles said and put a hand on his shoulder, winking, making him smile.

“If we do this, we don't know what's coming for us, you know that, right” Stiles asked us? “How do we even know something's definitely coming” Kira asked “because the tape from Garrett's bag said visual confirmation required” Scott said. “You mean the bag with money” Liam asked and I nodded “yup”. “Simon said the same thing, he couldn't get paid by The Benefactor until he had proof that you guys were dead” Stiles said ignoring Liam and I. “So the idea is, what if you kill someone on the dead pool, but you can't send the proof” I said.

“You don't get paid” Kira finished “but how does that get us any closer to The Benefactor” Liam asked? “He still needs to know if the target is really dead” Scott said “especially if it's someone high on the list” Stiles said making everyone look at him. “That is why I should be the one doing this” I said still not liking this plain. “We can't have you do that, besides Derek would kill us” Stiles said. I sighed, knowing they were right. “So, if he wants visual confirmation” I said “he's going to have to come get it himself” Scott said.

Derek
Star left to work with Scott on something so I was home alone, I called Braeden up yesterday to talk. She spent the night in my bed while I slept on my couch. I heard Braeden get up and walk over to me, lifting up my shirt slightly to look at where I got shot at early. I didn't tell Star about it because I didn't want her to freak out. I quickly grabbed Braeden's hand, making her stop “what are you doing” “protecting my investment” she said making me let go and smile.

“Why aren't you healing” Braeden asked me as she examines me “some wounds take longer” I say. “And some leave scars, but not for people like you, so, what's going on” Braeden asked me? “Maybe I'm just tired” I said turning back over on my side “Derek, show me your eyes” she asked me? “You just saw them” I said not moving an inch making Braeden sigh “show me your real eyes”. I turn and look up at the ceiling before blinking and looking at her. My eyes didn't change color.

“Okay, now why don't you tell me what's really going on” Braeden asked me and I sighed looking at the ground.

Star

I heard the doctors talking about the death “I'm calling it, time of death 2102 hours. Would someone please page Melissa McCall” I heard the doctor say about Scott. “Did it work” Stiles asked me “yeah, there calling Melissa” I said to Stiles. Suddenly I heard Melissa screaming and crying “what happened to my son” Melissa cried. After a few minuets Melissa walked in, whipping tears away and stood over Scott's dead body.

“I still hate this plan” Melissa said to Stiles, Liam, Kira, Kira's mom, and I “I mean this is pretty significantly terrifyingly. He looks dead” Melissa said as we circled around Scott. “Give me your hand” Kira's mom said and Melissa looks at me “it's okay” I said and Kira's mom put's Melissa's hand on Scott's chest. I can hear a faint heartbeat “is that enough to keep a werewolf alive” Melissa asked with a smile.

“Enough for an Alpha” Kira's mom says “I still think it should have been me” I said not liking this one bit. “How much time do we have” Melissa asks “forty-five minutes” Kira's mom said. “What happens after that” Melissa asks “I bring him back the same way” Kira said. “Shocking him” I finished for Kira “no, I mean what happens if he stays like this longer than forty-five minutes” Melissa asks.

“No one's told her” Kira's mom asks us “no one told me ether” I said confused and everyone all look at the ground and away from Melissa and I. “We didn't want to tell you Star because we knew you would interfere with the plain” Stiles said to me “what, what happens after forty-five minutes” Melissa asks again. “He dies” Kira's mom said and Melissa and I quickly look at everyone.

Stiles went to Chris's to send the message to The Benefactor while Kira, Liam, and I waited at the hospital. “So, I really want to know about mom” Liam said to me, making me look at him and sigh. “Alight, but you're not going to like it” I said and told him my whole story.

Derek
Braeden was putting some gauze on were I got shot “it's just a graze, but make sure it doesn't get infected”. I started putting my shirt back on “that's probably something you've never had to worry about before, is it” Braeden asked and I was silent. “So, it's everything then, no glowing eyes, no healing” she started “smell, hearing, speed, everything” I finished for her. “Strength” Braeden asked a little surprised.

I smiled “I can still win a fight” and she looks at me and puts her hand up to arm wrestle. I laughed and put my arm up as well “you ready” she asked me and I nodded “one, two” she starts to say and punches were I was shut and pins my arm, making me grunt “you cheated. That's cheating” I said “I won, when you're a human facing off against the supernatural, you need to bend the rules a little bit. I'm gonna teach you how to bend” Braeden says to me making me laugh a little.

Star

Chris went to the roof to hook up some wires so we could see all the security camera in the hospital. Liam, Kira, and I were in a hospital room, standing in front of three computers when Stiles's phone rings “I'm here, you ready” Chris says into the phone “try it now” Chris says and Stiles presses a button and all of the camera come on. All of our eyes go big, shocked that it actually worked.

“Is that supposed to look like that” Liam asks pointing to one of the cameras as it is fizzy and almost going out. “No, no, it's not, where is that” I asked “the roof, someone's gonna have to check it out” Stiles said. “I'll go” Kira says “whoa, whoa, this might not just be a malfunction” Stiles said. “That's why I'm bringing this” Kira said polling out her sword “and that's why I'm going with her” I said to Stiles. Kira and I started to head towards the door “I'm coming with you guys” Liam called and chased after us.

“Okay and you guys are coming right back, immediately” Stiles called to us. Kira, Liam, and I headed to the roof and saw the wire cut and destroyed. “Looks like someone did something to it” Liam said and we heard growling and quickly turned around to see a Berzerker. “I think somebody did” Kira said pulling out her sword and ready to fight while Liam turned. “These guys are really starting to get on my nerves” I said making my claws grow and my teeth.

Derek

Braeden sets a gun in front of me “this is a Sig Sauer P2269mm” she says “I don't like guns” I say with a sigh. “That's because you've never learned to use one, witch I think is a little wired considering the fact you're dating a use to be hunter” Braeden said making me look at the ground. “Girl trouble” Braeden asked me “listen, I just don't like guns” “that because you have never used one” “or because I've been shot, repeatedly” I say.

“You'll like this one” Braeden said picking the gun up “the legal clip size in California is ten. You always want to remember how many shots you fire, running out of bullets can get you killed. It also makes you look stupid, but using a gun isn't just about learning how to point and shoot” she said giving me the gun. “Why's that” I asked “because an average person can move twenty-one feet in one-point-five seconds” she said while I looked at the gun before looking at her.

“If they have a knife, they can gut you before you can pull and fire, so with a gun, you need distance” Braeden said and stood a little in front of me. “Go for it, pull the gun on me” she said and I laugh before going to pull the gun on her. She easily flips it and takes it out of my hands. I sigh “so, yeah” I say rubbing the back of my hand “wanna try again” she asks me. I nod “mmm-hmm” I say taking the gun from her hand and try again but she takes it from my hands again.

“One more time” I say “I could do this all day” Braeden says to me and I nod before kissing her and pointing the gun at her stomach before pulling away a little “you cheated” she whispered to me with a smile. “I'm learning to bend” I said with a smile before kissing her again.
