Chapter 16

Star

Kira, Liam, and I started fighting with the Berzerker on the hospital roof but the Berzerker punched Kira, making her full to the ground. “Kira” I called and starting fighting the Berzerker as Liam tried to get Kira up “Kira, get up, Kira, Kira, get up” Kira's eyes got up and she quickly sat up as I fought the Berzerker. All of a sudden I felt this pain inside of me, it wasn't from a sword, or anything physical. I felt like part of me was ripped out of me.

I stopped fighting and stood there, I could feel Derek, what he was doing and everything. “Star look out” Liam called and the Berzerker went to hit me with its arm but I quickly move my hand and grabbed him, stopping him as I looked up at him with red eyes. I pushed it and quickly kicked the Berzerker, making it stumble back. I roared at it, before it ran off, disappearing. “Star” Liam said making me turn around slowly with my eyes red.

Scott
I opened my eyes, looking around to see I was alive and I wasn't dreaming. I saw Kira, Chris, and Stiles. Kira looked happy to see me and kissed me “what happened, did it work” I asked and looked over to Stiles and Chris. Liam ran in “what” Kira asked him “it's your mother, she's hurt” Liam said to Kira. Kira left to find her mom while I got up and got dressed.

After a few hours Kira met me at my house. We sat on my bed as I held her hands “my mom's being taken to a hospital in Palo Alto. They actually put her in a helicopter” Kira said “but she's going to be okay” I asked? “Yeah, she just doesn't heal like she used to” Kira said and I nodded. “I need to be there with her, especially if she's still on the list” “I know. You should go, I actually have to go back to the hospital too, they want to do a bunch of tests since I was kind of officially dead” I said.

“I guess Liam's dad has a lot of questions” Kira asked me “yeah” I said. “I just wish it had all worked, it was a good plan” Kira said. “Yeah, I've been thinking about that too, and actually, I think maybe it did work. Not that I know exactly who The Benefactor is but we might know a lot more about him now” I said making Kira look at me confused. “But no one came and no one got visual confirmation, right” “that's why it might have worked” I said.

“Think about it, who has the power to know when someone's dead, but doesn't need to see the body to know it happened” I asked? “A Banshee” Kira said I nodded before getting a text from Stiles “I have to go” I said and Kira nodded before I gave her a kiss and left. I walked into the hospital to see Stiles and my mom “hey” I said “have you heard from Star” Stiles asked me. “No, why” I asked confused “well no one has seen her since she went up on the roof. Kira and Liam said that she just spaced out and then she just staid on the roof” Stiles said. I listened for Star and could faintly hear her on the roof.

I quickly ran to the roof with Stiles right behind me and we both stopped when we say Star standing on the edge of the roof. “Star” I said making her turn around slowly, she looked like she had been crying but wasn't crying right now. She looked back out at the lights and streets. “You know, you would think being a hunter you would learn not to let things effect you. But I guess I'm not a hunter anymore now am I, I'm a werewolf, I'm Alpha”.

“Star what happened” I asked “I've been threw hell, people braking my heart”. Star turned to us and I could tell she was crying a little “Stiles go” I said to Stiles not knowing what Star was going to do. “What” Stiles asked “go to the parking lot” I said wanting him to be down there encase she jumped or something.

Stiles ran off the roof and down to the parking lot. “You would think I would be use to it by now, but I'm not” Star said “and I never will be” Star said and looked out at the parking lot “and no one can save me” she said with no emotion. She was about to step off when I quickly ran to her and grabbed her arm, making her fall into me and knocking us to the ground.

Star struggled out of my grip, getting ready to run to the edge of the roof but I grabbed her again and held onto her as she struggled against me. Finally she stopped and breathed heavily “why did he do this to me” Star asked? “Who, Derek” I asked her and she looked up at me. I never say her this way, so weak, so hurt in her life and knew Derek did something.

Star looked at me and studied me as I looked at her before leaning in and kissing her. What was I doing, why was I kissing Star, the strange part was she kissed me back. I pulled away and looked at her a little shocked as she looked at me with the same expression. “Scott, I need to tell you something” Star said to me “what” I asked “I think you're my anchor” Star said to me. I looked at her a little surprised, the strange part was, I think she was mine too.
