nice to meet you

It was his third class, and San, so far, is enjoying his stay on the new university. The teachers are nice, so are the students. As he enters his next class, he saw Mingi sitting, visibly confused. San walked beside the unoccupied chair.

"Hey, Mingi, you good?" He asks, putting down his sling bag on the floor. Mingi sighed, "No. I cannot answer these questions." He groaned, showing San the handout he has.

The elder scanned the paper, and laughed, "Have you not noticed? That handouts are for the higher year." San questioned, which made Mingi check the paper. The latter's face turned beet red as he saw "Year 3 Paper" written on the top left of the sheet.

Once again, Mingi sighed, but this time, heavily. He felt so embarrassed. Imagine having the transfer student to tell you something so obvious.

"Let's forget that this happened." Mingi lamented, earning a giggle from San who is now busy writing on his notebook.

While the two are having a conversation, the door opened, making the students freeze. Not cold, they just felt someone's presence.

Mingi realized that it was the one and only Jung Wooyoung of Crane Stage University. Well, everyone knows his schemes, and attitude. No one can ever top him— not even the higher years. Except for the two people in Year 4.

As Wooyoung walks around, San couldn't help but to ask Mingi, "Who is he? He seemed respected here." Mingi shook his head, "No. I'll tell you later." The other replied.

Coincidentally, there was no one sitting behind San, so Wooyoung had no other choice but to sit there. He admits, he hates sitting with transferees because he thinks they are hard to approach.

Minutes later, the teacher arrived. Then, they started the class. It started great, but as the time passed by, it became boring due to the monotonous voice of the teacher. He doesn't show any emotions nor interest to the topic.

On the other hand, San enjoyably jot down notes, although he finds the teacher boring. While writing, he heard his seat mate from the back, groan.

"Fuck! Why does this pen doesn't work!?" Wooyoung hissed, tapping his pen roughly on the table. San chuckles, and lent him one of his pen. "Here." He whispered, smiling. Wooyoung just looked at him, and took the pen.

"Oh." The latter thought, scribbling on his notebook with the pen that was lent to him. Wooyoung's quite surprised that there are lots of new transferees, back then, the university had a hard time having students.

"Alright, that's all. Next week, we will be having an exam." The teacher paused, picking up his materials on the table, "Class dismissed." He continued, leaving the room.

The students happily left the room. The whole lecture feels so empty, and cold. As all the students left, Wooyoung sat there, unmoved. It's just that he doesn't have any energy to walk outside.

"You okay?" Asked a familiar voice, in which Wooyoung immediately faced. It was the guy who lent him the pen. San sat beside Wooyoung who was starring at him for some unprofessional minute.

The younger snapped to reality, "Oh. I'm fine." He replied, nonchalantly, and refocused his gaze somewhere.

Somehow, San find the man funny. He seemed awkward in socialization, and it reminded him of his younger self.

"I'm heading out. See you around!" San beamed, leaving him behind.

Wooyoung scoffed, and turned his head to where San had just left. There was this strange feeling that suddenly came up to him. He was contemplating whether is it good or bad.

He rested his head on the table, not wanting to attend his next class. His body feels like a heavy rock, and he just cannot carry it. Wooyoung kept on thinking of his classmate's eyes, and how he smiled at him. And the longer he thinks of him, the more he thought that he is damned.

While contemplating, someone entered the room. He sat beside the younger, and tapped his back.

"Come on! The Year 4 students have something to announce." A man spoke, excitedly. The other sighed, and looked at him, "Can you please give me an alone time, Jongho?" Wooyoung asked, in which the red head just laughed.

Jongho, instead of waiting for Wooyoung to sigh again, he immediately grabbed the elder, and left the room. The elder just forgot on how strong his younger friend is.

Choi Jongho is one of Wooyoung's friend in the university. Both of them were alone at first, but destiny made its way for them to meet. Now, they are best friends who love creating chaos.

"Where are you dragging me to!?" The black hair asked, letting his body be dragged by the younger friend.

Jongho laughed, "Oh come on! We can't miss the Year 4's announcement. I heard that they are throwing a welcome party for the transferees!" He informed, still dragging Wooyoung's frail body.

The other just scoffed, but didn't resist against the younger. He never showed that he cares for his younger friend, because he was too scared to show his vulnerability to others.

On their way to wherever Jongho is dragging him, he saw the guy whose smile is bright. He saw him across the room.

"Really!? You talked to no-other-than Jung Wooyoung!?" Mingi questioned, his voice loud. His eyes were widened, and his mouth agape.

San giggled, "What's the big deal? Since I'm now here, why not make friends?" He responded, adapting to the new environment he is in.

The blonde couldn't believe to what he is hearing, "Oh please! That Jung Wooyoung is a scammer! I tell you!" Mingi exclaimed, rolling his eyes. He still remembers how Wooyoung played with his friend's feelings.

"He's smart and all, but his attitude is.." The blonde continues, his thumb facing downwards. San nodded, acknowledging the younger's story.

While Mingi is busy telling stories about the newly meet friend of San, the black haired noticed that some students were going to the main area of the cafeteria. Is someone getting beat up? Bullied? That's what he thought.

"Hey Mingi, what's the commotion there?" San asked, his eyes not leaving the area where the students are. Mingi looked where the elder was looking, "That? I think it's the Year 4. They are talking about the welcome party for you guys. For the transferees." Mingi replied, San nodded in acknowledgment.

"Let's go there?" Mingi asked. San nodded in response, and both of them stood up to hear what the Year 4 is talking about.

a/n: hi! sorry for not publishing much. i'm so busy since school is about to end. :)

anyways. since san's birthday is july 10, 1999 and wooyoung's is november 26, 1999, i used the term 'elder' to refer to san when he is with wooyoung (and mingi in this chapter)!
