pleasant morning
The night was fun. San surprisingly enjoyed the event. He talked, ate, and discovered new things on that night. It was already dawn, the sun is rising, some students were wasted, some were sleeping and some already left.
Wooyoung, on the other hand, sat silently on the bar counter. He didn't left, he was busy reminiscing the conversation between him and the newly transferred student which happened to be San.
"Wooyoung, it's morning. Wake up." A familiar voice called, making the younger's eyes slowly flatter open. He sits up, scratching his left eye. As his vision starts to clear, he saw San standing.
He immediately fixed his appearance: swiftly brushing his hair with his hands, wiping his face, and fixed his shirt.
"Hey. Good morning." Wooyoung greeted, trying to be soft as possible. He wanted to appear kind in front of the elder.
San noticed the younger's antics, making him giggle. "Don't worry, I don't judge." He stated, his voice gentle, pertaining to what Wooyoung did as he saw San.
The younger laughs, embarrassed. His face turned pink, his lips couldn't form a smile.
"Come on. It's a wrap up. If we stay here a little longer, we will be charged." The elder informed, making the other snatch his things on the table.
"Wooyoung!" Another voice called him. Wooyoung looked at the man's direction, and of course, it was none other than Choi Jongho. Wooyoung, panicking, stood up, trying to wash his drowsiness.
The black-haired elder heard the other voice, and looked at Wooyoung, "See you around, Woo!" San waved good bye, smiling as he left.
It felt vibrant. What the transferee left was something he felt to his core. Was it impact?
"Finally! Did you find your bucket hat?" Mingi asked, his hands on his head. "Yeah, I did. Are you good?" San replied, worried, looking at the other.
The blonde just nodded, signaling San to enter the car so they can go home.
"You can drop me by the school, I'll just call Mr. Driver to fetch me." San suggested, earning a nod from Mingi. His and Mingi's house are located in different areas, hence the suggestion. "I'm sorry, San. I can't send you home by myself. My head is ringing." The blonde apologized, his head still aching.
San looked at him worried, "Are you sure you're in good shape to drive? I can call Mr. Driver to fetch us." He asked again, this time, worry rises even more. Mingi shakes his head, "I'm fine. We can go." Mingi responded, smiling to assure him. "I'm sorry I can't help. I don't how to drive." The black haired man lamented, frowning.
The blonde looked at him, "Don't worry," He consoled and smiled.
On their way home, Wooyoung couldn't still grasp the new student. He seems approachable, but at the same time, hostile. San is like a 50/50 chance for Wooyoung.
"Why are you spacing out?" Jongho, whose eyes were on the road, asked. The red head didn't get any answer, the other didn't budge to move, and seems like his question wasn't heard.
The red head chuckles, "Is it because of the transferee?" The younger inquired. In the mention of the 'transferee', Wooyoung's head turned to Jongho so fast, that the younger thought it will break.
Jongho laughed loudly. "So it was the transferee!" He teases him, making his cheeks flushed in pink. Wooyoung doesn't understand, why does he feel so embarrassed. He's never like this to others.
"No it is not. You're assuming things again." The black haired man denied, refocusing his gaze somewhere outside the window. Jongho was trying his best not to burst laughing. Wooyoung's reaction alone makes his statement void.
As Jongho dropped Wooyoung on his house, the black haired man immediately runs straightly to his room. His head is somewhere in the certain spot of the bar.
His mother, who is sitting at the couch, crocheting, looked at Wooyoung stump his way to his room. "What's his problem?" She inquired herself silently, continuing on her hobby.
He plopped into his bed, looking at his ceiling. His and San's conversation played in his mind endlessly, it's like a music put in repeat. Wooyoung can't deny how elegant San's features is, maybe one of the reason he cannot forget their conversation last night.
What is wrong with him? Is it because San is someone new to the school? Is it because San is not afraid of him?
"Jongho's gonna tease me." He says, closing his eyes to sleep.
"Take care, Mingi. Text me when you're home." Says San who was standing in front of the university's gate. He already texted Mr. Driver to come and pick him up.
Minutes later, their red car appeared. The black haired man immediately pulled the car door and sat.
"How's your first party?" The driver questioned, his eyes not leaving the road. San smiled, "Surprisingly, it was fun." He replied.
The driver smiled at the young man's answer. He had saw San cry several times whenever he comes home from the previous university and would sometimes listen to his rants. He feels like San is his grandson.
Now, San is completely silent, eyes shut closed. He was tired from helping his seniors clean. On the bright side, he met someone, who he thinks is awkward, to be someone who's cool.
Maybe staying isn't really bad at all. Maybe he could give it a chance.
"Jung Wooyoung.. a nice name." San thinks, "I hope we can be friends for lifetime." He added, his body becoming unconscious as time passes.
