nice to meet you.. again?

The hallway was filled with noises as students are gathered by the lockers. San thought it will be another event, but soon realize that it was exam day for Year 1. Some students were loudly memorizing, some were silent, and some were chill.

"Is this a common scenario here?" Asked San, and Mingi nodded.

Back in his old university, students are strictly in libraries and should be quiet at all times when studying outside the library. San thought that this policy is a hindrance since each students have their ways on studying.

"These are Year 1s. I tell you, the professors in Year 1 are strict and scary." Mingi tells, "But! As you progress from Year 2 to Year 4, all the professors are chill and kind." He added, scrolling through his phone.

The black-haired man nodded, seeing this environment makes him happy. Maybe he could stay here.

The blonde suddenly shoots his phone back to his pocket, "Hey San! Is it okay if I go to the library first? I'll just get my books." He inquired, and the elder just nodded.

Mingi hurriedly left, as if he is late for something. Then, San decided to go the opposite direction.

As he reached their classroom, he saw the face he's been dying to see. Jung Wooyoung's face. He dashed towards Wooyoung, and sat by the younger's side.

"Hi, Wooyoung!" San beamed, in which Wooyoung is quick to notice.

The other's eyes were already fixated on San that just greeted him. Wooyoung smiled, "Hi. How are you?" He replied, his heart beating loudly.

San smiled back, "I'm good. How about you?" He replied, sitting on an unoccupied chair beside Wooyoung.

The younger just nodded and smiled. The elder chuckles, thinking that maybe Wooyoung isn't much a fan of conversations.

A solid hour later, Mingi returned from the library. The blonde sat behind San who is busy reading his textbook.

"Hey, San! Look, I found a book that you might be interested in." Mingi called, which made San stop for a minute.

The elder looked at him. Mingi was holding a thick textbook covered with black leather. The book seemed old for its appearance.

San smiled, "Thanks! I appreciate it." He replied, getting the book. Mingi smiled, and nodded.

On the other hand, Wooyoung noticed the small interaction between the two. They seemed fine talking, but why can't he? Why can't he talk to San like a normal student?

Not a minute has passed, their professor came in and immediately started teaching. The professor came in late. The rumor has it that the man was having affairs with one of the Year 4 student.

"Hey, San! Have you heard? Our professor who came in late was rumored to be having affair with a Year 4 student." Mingi stated, his voice low as he was trying to not get heard by everyone in the hallway.

San chuckled, "Let's not involve ourselves with gossips and rumors." He answered. He remembered his mother saying that never, ever, do that.

Coincidentally, there is Wooyoung who's listening to both of them. The younger wonders, what will be San's reaction once he knew all the things he did.

Mingi just nodded, and sighed. "Alright, "mama"! Anyways, is it okay for me to leave you here? I'll be joining Yunho in the library." The blonde asked, watching San as he tried solving the puzzle that Mr. Jeon gave them.

San shakes his head, trying to remember what just Mingi said. Recalling them, the elder nodded. Just as he replied, Mingi vanished in a second.

"I hope he is aware that he is in love." San whispered, chuckling. He, then, continued on completing the puzzle. It seemed that he missed something essential for the whole problem.

Just as he was about advance to his lockers, he was met by the man he greeted earlier.

"Hi, San. I apologize if I was somehow awkward earlier." Wooyoung shyly says, his eyes laid on San's pretty eyes.

The elder laughs, "It's nothing. I assumed that you aren't fond of conversation." San responded, smiling. "Also, it was my fault for approaching you too hasty." He added, making Wooyoung shake his head.

Now this is a conversation. That's what Wooyoung thinks, at least. He managed to apologize to San and was able to make him laugh and smile at the same conversation.

"Hey! It's not your fault you want to make friends. The mistake you probably made is to approach me other than anyone." Wooyoung, suddenly joyous, replied. He suddenly felt excited as he reminisce San's bright smile.

"I am the least friendly here." Wooyoung added, making San laugh. San thought that maybe it is Wooyoung's attempts to make him laugh. But for the younger, it is the truth.

The two decided to stay at the university's garden. San thinks that maybe befriending Wooyoung is the first step towards the success of adaptation in his new university.

"So, do you start to like here?" Wooyoung asked, looking at the trees.

Currently the two of the are sitting under the tree, the foliage was large enough to cover the both of them, giving them shield from the sun.

"Yes. Life here is simple." San replied, grabbing one of his textbooks on his bag. The younger thinks that the elder is a book worm.

Both of them fell silent. One is reading a book, one is busy admiring the scenery.

Suddenly, the wind blows, making San's hair fly. This caught Wooyoung's attention. The elder tried his best to hold back his hair to prevent it from slapping his forehead, almost reaching his eyes. While he was fighting for his life, the younger was watching him, seemingly unaware of what gaze he was showing.

Fortunately, the elder doesn't seem to notice the younger's gazes.

"Agh! This wind!" San groaned, trying to keep his hair as much as possible.

Wooyoung, meanwhile, is watching him struggle. His heart races, what is this? Why is San suddenly shining? Unknowingly, he was smiling the whole time, and he hadn't notice it.
