Shikyou is a young woman known for her sharp and masculine appearance. She is the tallest among her bandmates, with an height of 164 cm.

Shikyou has nape-length short, silvery gray hair that eventually fade to black as she grew older, which is often mistaken as white when under harsh light. She has sharp, grass-colored eyes that is misunderstood as uninviting and cold.

On her left wrist, Shikyou has a tattoo consisted of four diamond stars lining straight near eachother, with the colors being: blue, yellow, red and green respectively; representing her childhood friends and partners.

PERSONALITY

Shikyou is known for her aloof personality and cold demeanor, always detach herself from most of her schoolmates whenever possible. During breaks, she would either stay far away from her classmates and be alone for most of the time, or talking to her childhood friends after they reconciled. She dislikes interacting with others, and will immerses herself in her hobbies. This caused many rumors in her middle school, most of them claiming she used to be a bully.

As a bassist, Shikyou takes her band pratices very seriously, and often gives her band advices as she is the most experienced. This occured from when she was gifted a bass by her older sister's friend, and watching her performance ignited a flame in young Shikyou's heart. If she wasn't a hero, she would want to pursue music as a professional someday. Infact, the reason why Shikyou became a Hero was to prove that musical-related quirks could save someone too.

Her detached and introvert personality came from her fear of hurting those she loves and dragging them down. Due to her older sister seemingly died from protecting her during a villain attack, Shikyou grew to believe that her existence brought misfortune to others, often loathed herself for "killing" her. After her fallout with Ishikou and Hotaru, this thought grew stronger in her mind. She thought that she was the one at fault for her childhood friends' strained relationships, yet her old stubborn self refused to reconcile with them, leading to self-destructive behaviors where she would often scratch her left wrist to bleed whenever reminded of her mistakes.

While Shikyou is hardworking and diligent, she can be quite harsh and tough on herself during missions and pratices, as she will push her limits further to achive perfection. She usually overworks herself, to the point when she fainted during one of her band pratices. However, this bad habit started to change as her friends helped her to accept her imperfections and helped her to get up from her spiral abyss.

Shikyou loves her childhood partners and family dearly, and will do anything to protect them. Although she may be tough on them when necessary, it was a way for her to express love. If she finds her words too harsh, she will quickly apologize and try to tone down her words. Shikyou also gives helpful advices, some of them are from her experience.

Whilist being quiet most of the time, Shikyou shows that she can be very straightforward and blunt toward others. She doesn't mince words, and will always speak on her mind even if it hurts those around her. But behind those sharp words, Shikyou is not unkind, and is willing to help them by her ways.

Shikyou may not look like it, but she has a liking on cute things and adorable animals. She used to be in her middle school's Animal Care Commitee, and has many experience upon taking care of animals. She often looks at cute accessories in shops, and will buy them in secret since she is afraid of being teased for her feminity.

BACKSTORY

Shikyou was born on January 8, into a small family in Tokyo. Her mother, Reiko, was a koto instructor who teached her how to play string instruments, while her father Yoshida was the guitarist of a famous band.

As a child, Shikyou was very close to her older sister Seina. As her parents were always busy to their works, Seina acted as a guardian and a parental figure for young Shikyou, comforting and taking care of her when they were alone with their grandmother. During this time, Shikyou made three childhood friends: Ishikou, Sora (whose older brother is also Seina's childhood friend), and Hotaru. The four got very close to eachother, and would either stargazing or playing music.

When she was around twelve, Shikyou met Seina's friend, Shiori. Shiori was the one who introduced her to the world of music, and gifted her a bass while inviting both of them to her band's performance. Seeing her performance on the stage ignited a passion in Shikyou, her mind imagined a dream where she could stand on that stage and performed as a professional. Just like Shiori. Ever since then, Shikyou started praticing bass with her friends, creating a small band, which later is named as "Aqua/rid".

Things took a worse turn when Seina and Shikyou got involved in a villain attack when they were shopping for grocery. One of the villains destroyed the supermarket they were in, killing thousand innocent civillains in the ruins. In a fit of hurry, Seina used her Quirk to push Shikyou away, trying to keep her alive.

Then, the celling fell on Seina's small body.

To make matters worse, 2 months after Seina's death, Sora's chronic illness got worse to the point where she had to stay in hospital for a whole year. Feeling despair for making those she loves hurt, Shikyou started to isolate herself from her childhood friends and others, and their relationships became strained. She was a loner for most of her middle school years, earning her rumors of her being a well-known bully and gossiping behind her. Shikyou acted like she didn't care, but in reality, she made Ishikou and Hotaru stop talking to her just so that her reputations didn't affect them.

Rumors and rumors only grew up, until one day. When Shikyou was arguing with her club members about their lack of dedication, she grabbed her bass and demoted for them a bit. However, her other quirk "Soumdwaves of Stars" developed and went out of control. Unable to control it, Shikyou hurted her members and destroyed a part of her school, causing the club to split up and her got suspended. During this, her reputation got tarnished even more.

After seeing a message from Seina's phone of wanting to be a hero, Shikyou decided to enter U.A, in hope to fulfill her sister's lost dream and to prove that she can be a hero with musical-related quirks. What she didn't know, was that her old friends also entered U.A.

"AND YOU DARED CALL YOURSELF A HERO, SEINA!?"

《ABILITIES-QUIRKS》

□ Extraordinary Hearing:

Shikyou is shown to have inhuman hearing, even with her special headphone. She is skilled in detecting sounds from a very far distance, and can remember the slight difference of people's voices. This helps her during combats, as Shikyou can dodge attacks even if the attacker has invisibility quirks.

□ Martial Art

Shikyou was teached Taekwondo by Seina during her primary years, as a pratice for both of them incase their Quirks got weaken and unable to use. Over the years, Shikyou is able to combine between Taekwondo moves and her two Quirks.

■ Adaptability

Shikyou is able to adapt to the speed of others, even went as far as overpowering them. During battles, she can take advantage of her hearing and attack back quickly, even without her weapon.

■Musical Talent

Shikyou is skilled in playing instruments and musicology, as her old wish was to become a professional. At this point, she can play keyboards, basses, eletric guitars, violins and can even compose original songs.

|QUIRKS|

☆ Bass

Like the name suggested, Shikyou can use her bass to create powerful and low-pitched soundwaves, enough to destroy buildings easily if she wants to. She can also alter the soundwaves to have more effects on humans, such as:

☆Brainwaves: If Shikyou try hard enough, she can even alter the wavelengths of one's brain. For example, she can increase of decrese the wavelengths, causing emotional instability. She can also make her apperance different by altering their "eyes" and make the soundwave connected to their memories about her shorter.

☆Quirkwaves: This was a bit of a stretch, but Shikyou can make a quirk user unable to use their quirks by suddenly increse the pitches, causing the soundwave connected to that quirk temporally distorted.

The limitations toward this Quirk is that Shikyou must have her bass intact during activation, as they are directally connected. And even if her bass is still there, she cannot touch the target directally, as the Quirk will also affect her too. After using for over 30 minutes, Shikyou will exprience extreme fatigue, nausea and heavy headaches.

☆Soundwaves of Stars

A seemingly developed version from "Bass". Shikyou can create powerful soundwaves from her bass, to manipulate meteors and stars however she want. This can range from shooting meteors to buildings, or even creating a huge explosion like a supernova. However, Shikyou cannot control this Quirk just yet, and it can be out of control very easily. Her lifespan, in theory, can even be drained due to her energy used to attract the meteors.
