SHASHI GUPTA :

Shashi Gupta
The Silent Pillar. The Watchful Father. The Keeper of Secrets.

Shashi Gupta is a man of quiet dignity—simple in appearance, humble in words, yet possessing a strength forged in silence. A devoted husband, a loving brother, and most of all, a father whose entire world begins and ends with his youngest daughter, Khushi.

He lives in a modest household with his wife Garima, their two daughters—Sheetal, the elder, and Khushi, the light of his soul—and his widowed sister Madhumati Gupta, whose presence adds warmth to their home. Once a loyal and hardworking employee of the prestigious Raizada Empire, Shashi’s hands may have grown old, but his heart beats with the same sincerity he offered to the world in his youth.

To outsiders, he appears to be a simple man.

But those who look closer… would know he is anything but ordinary.

Behind those kind eyes lie years of buried truths—truths too heavy to speak, too dangerous to reveal. Secrets he carries not for himself, but to protect the one person he loves more than life itself—his Khushi.

It is this unwavering love that has often created distance between him and his wife and elder daughter. They’ve mistaken his silence for weakness, his calmness for indifference. But Shashi sees everything. He notices the cracks. He hears the unspoken words. He watches, always.

Now, after years of shielding his family in silence, the past is stirring again.

MADHUMATI MISHRA :

Madhumati Mishra is the widowed elder sister of Shashi Gupta. After her husband's death, when her in-laws refused to keep her, she started to live with her brother.

Madhumati Mishra loves her brother and her niece Khushi very much. She treats Khushi as her child, as she had no children of her own. She does not like Garima and Sheetal at all, and there is a reason behind it. Not only that, but she does not like Garima and Sheetal's attitude towards Khushi at all. She always only wants the happiness of her brother and niece Khushi.

GARIMA GUPTA :

Garima Gupta, wife of Shashi Gupta. Loving mother of Sheetal. Greed and selfishness runs in her blood. Money minded person. Never accepted Shashi Gupta as her husband because of his middle-class lifestyle, but later did for her own selfish reasons. [ Reasons will be revealed later ]

She cannot tolerate Khushi as she is adopted and loved by her husband and sister-in-law way more than her daughter, Sheetal. There is nothing dirty which she can't do for money and to get rid of Khushi from her life. She can commit murder, that much she hates Khushi. She considers Khushi as a burden because, according to her, her husband spends money on Khushi like water and her own daughter Sheetal does not get her right. She treats Sheetal as a Princess and Khushi as her unpaid servant.

SHEETAL GUPTA :

Sheetal Gupta, the elder daughter of Shashi Gupta and Garima Gupta. Exactly a copy of her mother. Gold-digger, selfish, money minded. Hungry for money and power. She considers herself the most beautiful girl in the world and if someone praises the beauty of someone else in front of her, basically if anyone praises Khushi, then she gets jealous like anything. Just like Garima, she doesn't like Khushi at all because apart from her mother, everyone loves Khushi more than her, which she does not like at all.

Like her mother, she can go to any extent to remove Khushi from her life and for money. To get this money and status, now she wants to marry Arnav Singh Raizada and become the mistress of the Raizada empire and the most sought after model in the fashion industry. This dream of hers also seems to be fulfilled when Arnav proposes to her for marriage.

But what she doesn't know is that Arnav Singh Raizada is going to take her for a ride of her life for the sins she and her mother have done to an innocent soul and what is going to happen to HER during this marriage.

KHUSHI KUMARI GUPTA:

Khushi Gupta was like a ray of light in Shashi Gupta's dark and shattered life. When his life was about to sink into the depths of darkness, at that time a little happiness fell into his lap like an angel. Khushi is his friend's daughter. He had legally adopted Khushi when he and his wife met with an accident and died.

Khushi won everyone's heart with her simplicity and innocence, except her mother and elder sister. She became the life of Shashi Gupta and Madhumati Mishra, but could never win the hearts of her mother and sister. Khushi is loved by everyone and because of that, Garima and Sheetal hate her.

She knows they hate her, but she never complains because she has her Babuji and Buaji who love her the most, and she is their world. She is a very innocent and happy-go-lucky girl even after all the hardship.

There are many secrets of his life which he is still unaware of. Will all those secrets be revealed now? Will she know that there is someone in this world who can move the world for her? Who is she, will she ever know?
