My heart stopped. A titan. Annie's mouth is wide open. The titan stares into my soul. No....not this time. My gaze hardens. I lunge for my sword. The titan sees me and grabs at me. I stab into its finger. The titan pulls back, steam escaping from the wound.  Annie jumps up and begins to back away. The titan looks straight at her. It stands up and grins down at us. I grip my sword harder. The titan steps forward and grabs Annie unarmed. She screams. "ANNIE!" I scream. "EREN RUN!!!!" she screams. I don't move. The titans grips her harder. Then it lifts her to its mouth and drops her in. I hear her scream muffled by the sound of the titan's mouth closing. I stare. "Annie....." I breathe. Then it all comes out. I scream and fall to my knees. The titan looks down at me and walks away. I couldn't move. Annie was dead. It all felt like a repeating story. First my mother, then my friends, now her. I slowly stand up. "You're not getting away this time" I growl. I fly into the air, smoke falling behind me. "NOT THIS TIME!" I scream.  I rip out my swords and pick up speed. The titan is running faster. I'm fighting the pain in my stomach,  blood pouring out from my wound..  I scream with fury and pull the trigger, releasing the grappling hooks. The hooks soar into the sky and land into the tree to my far right. I real it in, releasing the second one into the right tree so I could meet up with the titan.  I ready my blades and release the grappling hooks. The fan section blows at full power. I scream and slice down at the titan's shoulder. It slowed down enough that I can meet up with it face to face.  I push my grappling hooks into its eyes. The titan screams. I real in the grappling hooks, so I could stand on its forehead.  The titan desperately tries to shake me off. My anger drives me farther. Blood is running down from my shirt. I don't care. I jump backward and release the grappling hooks. I then aim them at the back of its head.  The grappling hooks miss. They bounce off its hand. No. I feel the impact against the tree. But I don't give up. i wipe the blood from my mouth and start up my fan section again. I pull in my grappling hooks and fly in a straight line. I then release them into the tree to my left and meet up at its left. The titan looks at me, its eyes regenerated and as disgusting as ever. I scream and release my right grappling hook against its temple. I wind in and slice into its head. The titan screams and runs faster than ever. I struggling to keep on. I slowly prepare my right blade and breath in. My hands and face are covered in my own blood. I'm shaking. Then I think of her. Her blond hair and glistening eyes. "I'LL DESTROY YOU!" I scream, blood flying from my lips. I jump backward and release my hooks and land them at both sides of its shoulder. I pull down at full speed and slice into its neck. Blood splatters onto my face. I smirk and cut deeper. Revenge. The titan freezes.  The motion of it stopping flings me off onto the hard ground below. I struggle to keep my focus. I need to see it die. the titan slowly begins to shake and steps backward. My eyes widen. The titan hits the ground back first. I can't move. Its hand comes falling down, hitting me. I scream, feeling my chest erupt with pain.  I'm paralyzed. I can't move. I can only lay there, sitting in a pool of blood. "Annie..." I whisper. Then I hear the sound of flesh opening up. It's Annie. She's covered in blood and shaking all over. She sees me. "EREN!" She screams. She runs up to me and slides to my side. "E-Eren, you-you're gonna be okay" she holds back tears. She squeezes my hand. "I'm gonna get you out". Then I hear it. Titans. "Annie" I croak. "You have to leave NOW" she stares into my eyes. "I-I can't" she sobs. Then I freeze. This has happened before. "Mother" I breath. Annie is desperately trying to pull me out. I scream and feel more blood leave my body. "ANNIE" I sob. She looks down at me and stops. The titans are getting closer. There was three. Two male, one female. "ANNIE LISTEN TO ME!" I scream. Annie looks at me. Annie refuses and picks up her sword, trying to chop off the hand. Her blade breaks in an instant. Annie freezes. She then begins to cry, falling to her knees. I stare at her. "Annie...." I croak. "It's gonna be okay". Annie looks at me. "I-I don't want to lose you" she sobs. I manage to gather all my strength and reach for her arm. I choke and hold back tears. I hold her arm. She looks down at my bloody hand. "It's best if one dies instead of two" She looks at me. Her face becomes frantic. "I-I can-can't leave you be-behind" she cries, squeezing my hand. I look into her crystal blue eyes. "Annie, I can't let you get hurt again" I choke.  Annie looks up and sees the titans approaching closer.  I look deeper into her eyes. "It's alright" I sigh, smiling sadly. "I'm not afraid". She bites her lip, tears flowing down her scarred cheeks. "Eren..." she began. I let go of her hand. "I-I.......I-I love y-" she begins to sob. I realize what she had said.  I squeeze her hand and pull her closer to me. " I don't want you dead" I cough. Annie pulls herself closer to me. "I WANT YOU ALIVE EREN!". I realize the titans were almost over us. I do what I have to. I pull her in and kiss her. Tears fall down my cheeks. I press my forehead against hers. She holds my head with her hands and smoothed out my hair. I release her and push her back. "RUN ANNIE" I scream, tears falling faster. She scrambles up and begins to run. I smile and wipe away my tears. "Thank you" I whisper. I close my eyes and embrace the feeling of emptiness. "Mother" I whisper. "I'll be with you soon." I can see her in front of me. She's smiling, a pair of angel wings lifting her above the ground. "Don't go" I cry.  I relax my body and await death. Then it happens. I feel a titan's hand pick me up. "I'm sorry Annie" I whisper. I feel myself being lifted into the air. The cold hands wrap around my broken chest. I slightly smile, tears swelling in my eyes. "G-o-o-d-b-y-e" I whisper. I reach out one last time before being surrounded in endless blackness.
