J I M I N

Today's the day I'd be going on a date with Mina.

Oh gosh, when I sent that text to ask her, my heart was pounding, and when she said yes, I could barely breathe.

I was worried that she wouldn't be ready for another relationship so soon, but she said yes. I was so happy that night. I went to sleep smiling.

This morning, I woke up in a good mood, too. The other guys didn't know yet until they saw me come smiling down the stairs.

"What are you so happy about?" Jin asks.

"I'm just excited." I say.

"For what? A photo shoot?" Yoongi adds, referring to our schedule today.

"No, not that."

"Then wha?"Jungkook asks with his mouth full of breakfast.

"I have a date today."

Tae nearly choked on his chocolate milk.

"You're going on a date?" Namjoon asks.

"With who??" Tae adds.

"Who do you think?" Hoseok joins in, "It's probably who you think it is. Isn't it Jimin?"

"Who do you think it is?"

"Mina-ssi." Jungkook says.

They all look toward me.

"Yeah...it is."

"Ooohh." Tae goes.

"Oh, hyung, if you're gonna be dating Mina-ssi, then maybe you two can go on double dates with Sana and me." JK teases.

I laugh nervously.

Why am I nervous about this? We've been friends for so long. It should be fine, right?

Ha..but I have a few hours to prepare myself before that. We'd be heading to our photo shoot right now. That should take a while, but we'd be back about an hour before noon.

That's plenty of time. I have nothing to worry about.

Photo shoots are always kind of tiring. They constantly have you changing your outfits and hair and makeup. I know all you have to do in a shoot is pose and sit still, but it gets boring. I was relieved when it was over.

We got back as soon as we could. I already started getting ready.

I was trying to choose something to wear. Something casual, but not too casual. And something warm, since we were going to an ice park.

I got changed and quickly combed my hair before I went to pick up Mina from the Twice dorm.

I took a cab and one of our bodyguards. Whenever we go out to public places on work days, we always bring at least one security guard, whether it's our manager or bodyguard.

I get out of the cab when we arrive to knock on the door.

I had a scarf on, it covered about half of my face. I also had a hat on to help cover my eyes. I didn't really want anyone recognizing me right now.

I pulled the scarf down when the door opened.

"Oh. Hi, Jimin-ssi." It was Jihyo who answered the door.

"Hi, Jihyo-ssi. Is Mina here?"

"She is, here, come in, come in." She motions me to come inside so I follow.

Jihyo went to go get Mina so I waited by the door. My eyes wandered around the dorm.

This place looked pretty similar to our place. We have two members less than then and we barely get any personal space, how can they all fit here?

I look back up and see Mina come around the corner.

"Hey." She waves.

"Hey, you ready?" I ask.

"Yep." She smiles.

I offer her my hand. She looked a bit confused at first, but accepted it anyways.

The rink wasn't too far, so the drive was short.

We hold hands again as we walk in. We rented some skates and went to go put them on.

As I was lacing my skates, Mina asks, "Have you been skating before?"

I look up, "Yeah. I went with the guys before, but I kept falling on my butt." We both laugh.

"Have you skated before?" I ask.

"I've never ice skated, but I've tried roller skating before." She says.

"They're really similar. I think you'll be good at it."

We make it to the opening where you enter and exit the rink.

"Okay, just go slowly at first." I tell her.

I step onto the ice and slowly start sliding.

Mina looked hesitant to follow.

"Minari, it's okay." I hold my hand out to her.

She takes it and steps onto the ice. She starts sliding and then wobbling.

She almost slips and falls, but I catch her before she hits the ice.

"Woah, thanks." She says.

"Mhm." I nod.

She held tight to my arm as we glided.

I eventually slip away from her grasp and start skating backwards, facing her.

"What are you doing?" She laughs.

"Come on, just skate to me." I say, holding out my hand.

Mina starts to move faster, getting closer to me, but I was still skating backwards slowly.

She eventually caught up with me and grasped both of my forearms.

"Gotchu." She smiles.

Ah...Mina is adorable. I smile back at her, admiring all of her features.

I guess I forgot we were still moving and one of my skates got stuck in the ice. I stumbled and fell backward, but Mina was still holding onto me.

My back hits the ice with her slightly falling on me.

"Ow.." I groan.

"Jimin! Are you okay? Sorry~" Mina says as she gets up.

"Y-yeah. I'm good. Are you?"

She lends me her hand to help me up.

"I'm okay. You sort of broke my fall." She laughs.

"Oh, then you're welcome."

After a while of skating, we both started getting the hang of it.

During one of our laps, Mina skates up ahead of me.

"I'm gonna try to do a spin." She says.

"Oh? Okay, go ahead." I say, standing still, but getting ready in case she falls.

She glides over to an open space, slightly lifts one of her skates and swings her leg around. Her dark her spun too, she looked like a flower.

The ballerina in her just emerged.

She was perfectly balanced, a big difference from twenty minutes ago.

I clap for her as she comes skating back next to me.

Her warm smile made my heart flutter.

After we finished skating, we decided to go to a small cafe to get some warm drinks.

As we were walking there, I noticed Mina kept sniffling.

"Are you okay? You keep sniffing." I say.

"Ah, yeah, I'm okay. I just forgot my scarf before we left and my nose gets cold easily." She explains.

"Oh, why didn't you say so sooner?" I say unraveling the scarf from my neck to hand it to her.

"No, oppa, it's okay really." She waves her hand.

"Minari, I insist."

"Ah, okay." She accepts the scarf and wraps it around her neck, covering part of her face.

At the cafe, we both ordered some hot chocolate and shared a cookie.

"Did you have fun today?" She asks me.

"Of course I did." I say.

"That's good. I had fun too."

It grew quiet between us for a while.

Mina breaks the silence.

"Jimin-oppa," She says, looking me in the eyes.

Her eyes always captivated me. They were so deep and beautiful that my whole world was reflected in them.

"Why did you ask me on this date?" She asks, being serious.

"It's a long story." I chuckle, "Mina, I..."

She stares at me, expectantly.

"I have deep feelings for you. I've had feelings for you for a while actually." My eyes drift away.

My words didn't phase her.

"I think I'm in love with you." These were my exact thoughts, but it didn't come from my head. These words came from Mina.

I glance back up to her.

She laughs softly.

"I've always admired you, Jimin." She goes on, "You've always been such a good friend. To be honest, I think I fell for you a long time ago."

I didn't know what to say. I didn't know what I expected, but it wasn't this.

I finally gathered the courage to say something.

"So...I like you, a lot. And you, "fell for me", we've been on a date, and now..."

"Now what?" She asks, slightly smiling.

I place my hand on hers.

"Minari...do you want to be my girlfriend?" My heart had the same feeling as when I first asked her on this date.

She holds my hand tight.

"Only if you'll be my boyfriend."

"O-of course."

It was getting late and I had to get Mina back to her dorm.

When we arrived back, I walked her up to the door.

Before she knocked on the door, she turns to me.

It happened so quickly, but she pulled me by the collar and kissed me.

This caught me extremely off guard, but I didn't fight it. If she wanted a kiss, I'll give her a kiss.

When she pulled away, we just stood there, holding each other, gazing into each other's eyes.

"I love you, Mina." I whisper.

"I love you more, oppa." She whispers back in my ear.

She unravels the scarf from her neck and tries to hand it back to me.

I take it and wrap it back onto her neck.

"Please, keep it."

She nods and gives me a peck on the cheek before knocking on the door.

I start walking back to the car. She waves before the door closes behind her.

I was in a good mood for the rest of the day. That night, after messaging Mina again, I went to sleep, smiling.
