Taetzu: Ours
(Ship and concept requested by maaaniyaaniya )
(Concept: Taehyung and Tzuyu recently got married and their moving into a new home together)
(Tzuyu POV)
"What about this one?" Tae asks me.
We were at a furniture store, looking at the living room items. Tae was showing me a nice couch he saw.
"Oh, I like the color, but is it comfortable?"
"Let's find out!" He jumps onto the couch, but it didn't look very bouncy.
"Careful! You might break it."
"I think it broke me." He chuckles, "It's not soft at all."
"Guess it's a no then."
It was pretty fun looking around at all the furniture and getting ideas. Our old place was small, so we wanted more furniture to fill the space of our new home. Tae wanted to set up a music room or area next to the living room. I thought it was a great idea. Just looking around the store made me think of all the new things we could do together now.
Our new place has a balcony where we can sit outside in the morning and have some coffee or breakfast. Our living room is bigger so we can have a bigger couch where we can lay together, unlike our old, small one. Our bedroom is also bigger, but we didn't want a bigger bed. We liked being close while we slept; even when it was hot, we would kick off the blankets, but I would still find Tae snuggled up next to me when I woke up. We were living together for a little bit before we got married, but this feels a lot different.
That day, we ordered a few pieces of furniture, but they wouldn't be delivered for another week or so. We went back home to our half-empty house. It didn't quite seem like ours yet, but we've been working on it over time. We donated a lot of our old furniture and we haven't unpacked all of our boxes yet.
We prepared dinner together in the evening. At first, Tae insisted on cooking for the both of us, but I ended up helping him along the way. He still wanted to do most of the work so I helped out by giving him kisses and plenty of compliments.
I was setting the table when he called me over.
"Baby, can you come here for a second?"
"Coming!"
I quickly finish what I was doing to be by his side.
"Do you need something?" I ask.
He just smiles and quickly kisses me before going back to what he was doing like nothing happened.
I still stand there, "Is that all?"
He chuckles, "You want another one?"
"I wouldn't mind, but..." I laugh, "You don't actually need help with anything?"
He shakes his head, "No, but you can come closer so I can kiss you again."
I take a few steps in so he can give me another kiss, but when we part, I keep my head on his shoulder for a moment.
"I love you." I whisper in his ear.
"I love you too, baby."
We were enjoying this moment, but we were interrupted by a sudden noise.
Tae's stomach growling.
"Sorry." He laughs, "I guess we should eat now."
____________
"That was really good, oppa. You should cook more often."
"I could, but I'll have to research some more recipes."
We finished cleaning up from dinner right as the sun was starting to set. The light shining in through the windows gave everything in our house a gold tint. Tae suddenly perks up like he remembered something before he goes running towards our stack of boxes in the corner of the living room.
"What are you doing?" I ask.
"You'll see." He says, smiling.
He pulls out his record player and his box of records, plugging in the player before looking through the vinyls.
"Where is it...where is it..." He mumbles to himself, "Aha!"
He takes the disc and places it on the player, setting the needle and turning up the volume.
I recognized the song as soon as it started playing.

This was the song we played for our last dance at our wedding.
I look at him and he has that sweet smile on his face, holding his hand out for me to take. It was almost like muscle memory as he pulled me close and we swayed slowly to the music. We gaze into each other's eyes as the room slowly becomes dimmer as the sun sets.
"Kiss me once, then kiss me twice, then kiss me once again..." He sings under his breath.
"It's been a long...long time." We sing together.
I kiss his soft lips before leaning my head against his chest. I could hear his heart beating steadily, unlike during our wedding; his heart was racing, but to be fair, so was mine. He places his hand on the back of my head, gently stroking my hair.
"I love you so much." He whispers.
I squeeze his hand tighter, "I love you, too. You mean everything to me."
He chuckles, still holding me, "If I learn this song on the trumpet, will you sing it while I play?"
"If you want me to." I say, "I'll be waiting for that day."
"I better get to work then."
It only took a few more weeks for our home to start truly feeling like ours. All of a sudden, I had all these happy memories attached to this place. Everything was falling into place.
We kept dancing until the song was over.
He goes to turn off the record player, "I'll never get tired of that."
"The song or the dance?" I ask.
"Both."
(Taehyung POV)
"We can finish unpacking tomorrow. I have to go back to work on Tuesday."
"Mhm..."
"Hey, are you even listening?"
"Mhm..."
"Tzuyu-ah!" I pat her shoulder.
She had her face buried in the pillows, probably falling asleep.
"What? I'm awake, I'm awake." She turns towards me, rubbing her eyes.
"What did I just say then?"
"You said we can unpack tomorrow because you have to go back to work..." She mumbles, "Can we sleep now?"
"Okay, I'm sorry." I plant a kiss on her head, "We can sleep now."
She wraps her arms around my waist, pulling us closer together.
"Good night, baby." She whispers.
"Good night, love."
She had her eyes shut, but she smiles upon hearing my words. I fell asleep staring at her adorable face. My heart and my thoughts felt warm and happy. Even if we were living in a new house, I knew that anywhere I felt like this was my home.
My home is with her.
