Yoongyeon (YxN): Biggest Fan

(ship requested by yoko_win)

(Concept idea by yoko_win, Nayeon and Yoongi are dating, but Yoongi is a professional basketball player)

(Yoongi POV)

Our coach blows the whistle and calls a timeout after the opposing team scores another two points. We were down by eight points and the game was almost over.

Coach scolded our point guard, Yang, telling him to "get his head out of the clouds" after he failed to receive several passes from me. I felt kind of bad because some of those may have been my fault, but coach didn't say anything to me.

Yang whispers something to me before we get back to the game.

"If you get the ball, take the shot. Don't pass it to me, even if I'm closer. I know you can make the shots, Min." He walks off before I could say anything.

We were fighting to turn things around. We still had a chance. I was able to steal the ball on defense, the stadium roaring with cheers form our fans.

I got a hold of the ball again. The score was now 84 to 79. We were still down five points, but it was possible for us to make a come back.

I was in the perfect spot for a three-pointer. I took the shot before the other team's defense could interfere. A perfect arch and a swish followed by excited screams.

But one voice stood out to me over the rest.

"Min-Yoon-gi! Min-Yoon-gi!"

I glance towards the sideline, astonished. She made it.

"Go get 'em Yoongi!!" She smiled when I found her in the crowd.

Nayeon-ie told me she couldn't make it to the game because she was busy at work today, but I guess she made it after all.

After seeing her, I was even more dedicated to winning this game. I knew that she we watching. I wanted to make her proud.

We were now only down by two points. Yang made a two-pointer and tied the score. There was still time left. We could win this.

Yang had the ball, but he couldn't get a clear shot. I tried my best to get open, but the other team's players towered over me.

"My! My!" Our teammates were trying to get Yang's attention.

'My' was a codename for me, Min Yoongi. They were trying to let him know I was open.

Yang passes it to me, but not before the ball tips off of another player's hand, sending it a bit too far to the right.

I went for it anyways. I was originally planning on trying for another three-pointer, but where Yang sent the ball would only be good for two.

The crowd's cheering became louder and louder as I got a hold of the ball and only a few seconds were left.

I took the shot just as buzzer went off. Everyone was still, all eyes on the ball. It bounced off of the backboard and into the hoop. The score was 84 to 86. We won.

"MIN YOONGI!!" My teammates surrounded me, slapping me on the back, high-fiving me, and ruffling my hair. This continued all the way into the locker room.

On my way out, fans asked for pictures and autographs. I didn't mind, but I was looking for her in the crowd. I know she wouldn't leave without seeing me.

The crowd was dying down but I still haven't found her.

"Yoongi-oppa! Can I have your autograph?"

"Sure-" I turn around with a pen in my hand, expecting to see another fan, but it wasn't just any other fan. It was my biggest fan. She stood there with a huge grin on her face, wearing my jersey, number three.

I laugh, "On second thought, I gotta go." I joke around with her and start walking in the opposite direction.

"Hey!" She grabs my arm and pulls me around to face her.

"I'm joking, hon." I smile, pulling her in for a hug, "I'm glad you made it."

"You were amazing out there. Everyone was cheering for you." She says.

I shrug, "Well, it helped seeing you there. That was all for you."

She holds my hand, "Ah, well, I'm glad I could be some sort of help."

"I thought you were too busy to come today?" I bring it up as we walk out together.

"Well..." she says, "I knew this was your last game before playoffs and I know that means you're probably gonna be really busy again, so I pulled some strings at work to make it today."

I break a faint smile. I felt kind of guilty that we couldn't see each other so often because our schedules always overlapped. It wasn't always like this. We started dating before I got into the KBL. Things were easier back then.

"Thank you for coming. Really, it means the world to me. I love seeing you at my games." I tell her.

"Well, I love seeing you play. It's a win-win for both of us." She smiles.

We stopped at the edge of the parking lot. This is where we usually part ways.

"So...I guess I'll see you around." She says, still smiling, but there was pain in her voice.

"Wait." I get an idea, "I'm coming with you."

"What? But you have to go to Gangnam tomorrow, don't you?"

"It's okay." I insist, "I want to spend the night with you."

She doesn't object anymore. I tell my ride I wouldn't be needing one tonight, but to pick me up from Nayeon's place tomorrow morning.

She kisses me, both of her hands around my neck. We stayed like that for a while. When she finally pulled away, she immediately started walking off, leaving me flustered.

She stops and turns around, "What are you doing? Let's go!"

I smile to myself and run after her.

I'm lucky to have someone as amazing as her.
