Peeking through your universe.

"When I was just a little boy
I asked my mother, what will I be
Will I be handsome ? Will I be rich?
Here's what she said to me

Qué será, será
Whatever will be, will be
The future's not ours to see
Qué será, será
What will be, will be..."

.........

On the planet where Raon was born, there was once a tree. They called it "The Tree of Stars".
Each of the stars on that tree took charge of a person's life. Including Raon himself.

The stars hung on the tree like Christmas ornaments, and when the wind came, they would crash into each other, created a melody that sounded so much like church bell.

Raon used to fall asleep under that tree, his head gently placed on the warm thighs of his sweet mother.
Stardust fell from above, coated him in their golden glory. And Raon heart felt so at ease.
He could live like that forever, and ever. In the embrace of his beloved mom.

When he was only a young boy, mom always reminded Raon about the importance of "Bloriest".

"Once you find them, my twinkle little star, promise me you will love them and protect them with your life."

She said.
Because on his planet, "Bloriest" stands for
"My Bluest Glory". Your Bluest Glory is the foundation of your life, and they're also the only person in the entire universe that can put an end to it.

"When your Bloriest dies, or when they completely forget about your existence.
That's when you'll eventually shatter into specks of stardust..."

Being forgotten.

Raon witnessed his mother turned into specks of soulless stardust. She knew her time had come, and she was ready for it. His mother peacefully accepted her disappearance because of the fact that she would rather being gone than existed without her Bloriest.
But Raon would never ready to lose her.
He asked the universe why couldn't they just be each other's Bloriest.
So that his mom could live on till eternity.

Later on, Raon learned that his mom's precious Bloriest didn't come from this planet. His father came and stayed for a short while, but the time was long enough to captivate mother's love till the end of time. It wasn't the most pleasant way to find out that she loved that person wholeheartedly, because it was the beginning of her loss and wasted long wait.

"Trust your star, Raon. And it will lead you to your Bloriest..."

She left him one last instructor before the poor woman shattered into glowing pieces of stardust that felt on top of Raon's hair like the final landing of heartbroken butterflies before their lonely death.

Her words engraved in his heart, staying safe and sound within a small corner of his mind.

They stayed there as he looked at the sunset alone one last time under The Tree of Stars, witnessing his dearest planet fade into nothingness after colliding with another massive wandered lost star.

Raon left the vestige that was once his home, his star sleeping soundly between his palm. It was the only thing he had left.

But he also knew that after leaving the tree, the star would slowly die. Its light would disappear. And it would soon turn into just a lifeless piece of rock.

Slowly closing his eyes, Raon wished upon the dying star.

"Please, lead me to my Bloriest. The reason I exist, and the death of me."

Raon swore that he could hear the star went ringing, the most beautiful sound he had ever heard.
The star light up before completely exploded, causing Raon and his spaceship to be blown away by the explosion. Everything went black.

"Maybe this is it, the end to my hopeless existence."

Raon murmured to himself as he felt his consciousness slipped away from him.

When Raon finally woke up from the explosion, he met with a pair of breathtaking doe eyes.
The person was kneeling down on his knees, his warm hand gently placed on Raon forehead.

He felt like going back to all those years, with his head placed on his mother's thighs.

Raon felt the warmth of tears sliding down his cheeks, without a second thought, the alien held on to the stranger's sleeves and started crying his heart out. His heart suddenly was suffocated with sorrow, loss and longing.

The tears left stains on the person's white shirt, but the boy just silently comforting Raon without saying a word.

He gently padded his hand on the back of the traumatized man he had just met, who was then clinging on to him like the was the only light the man could recognize in a dark tunnel.

It felt strangely familiar. Like he was born just to wait for that moment to come and do that. Clumsily, the boy inhaled a sharp breath before tightening his embrace on the stranger, his chest ached listening to the strange man's broken wail.

And that was the story about that day from two years ago, when they first met.

Right now, Raon is carefully shifting his body on their bed, trying not to wake his beloved husband while Wuju is simply sleeping like a happy kitten within his embrace.

He plants a longing kiss on tip of the beautiful baker's nose. The alien lovingly watches as the younger boy cutely scrunches his nose and lets out unsatisfied noises which make Raon chuckles.

His whole life, Raon has been wishing upon the stars, in hopes that they would hear his wishes and guide him to his Bloriest. His first and last love. His one and only star.

Raon was humble enough to just wish for a twinkle little star, not knowing the stars would listen. Next thing Raon realized, he was already granted with a precious human being whose eyes captured the whole universe. His precious Wuju.

Raon smiles as he looks out the window, seeing meteor falling from the sky. He knows mother is still looking after him from above, and she must be so proud and happy, witnessing her little prince's reunion with the love of his life.

Mother must be happy, Raon knows that.
Because he has never, ever felt happier.

He's finally at home. Wuju is his home till eternity.
