I scoffed as I jumped out of the way, avoiding the attack.
"So, you think just because you're a girl I'd go easy on you?" the guy asked, clutching his bleeding jaw. I growled and threw a punch at his lower abdomen.
"And you think because I'm a girl I'd go easy on you?" I mocked, shaking off the droplets of blood from my fist. He laid, groaning on the ground.
"I'll let you live for now. Don't ever try to diss my family again, dipshit," I said calmly, walking away.
Stupid gangsters. Stupid insurances. Stupid everything. I kicked a can as hard as I could, accidentally hitting someone in the process. I yelped and rushed over to help.
"I am so sorry!" I apologized, placing a hand on their arm. I hadn't realized they caught the can, until I heard a crunching noise and heard metal fall to the ground.
"Sir...?" I stammered, looking at their angular face, framed with glasses of some sort. He smiled warmly at me, taking my hand gently off his arm.
"Don't worry, I'm fine. You have a strong grip," he said suddenly. I cocked my eyebrow in amusement.
"Thank... You?"
"I'll tell you what, to make up for almost impaling me with that can, why don't you meet me at the bridge near Inwan mountain. We'll only talk, nothing else."
"No funny stuff?"
"Only business. See you then." He walked away, whistling like nothing happened. I smirked and walked away as well.
That was odd. Well, a promise is a promise, I suppose.

I changed into a light tank top, and skinny jeans with my cap turned backwards. I walked towards the bridge near Inwan mountain and found that the guy was here with a buddy.
"Hey, (Y/N)!" he called. I stopped.
"How the hell do you know my name?" I demanded, pointing accusingly at the blonde man. He chuckled.
"Didn't you tell me?"
"No, I didn't. I knew it, I should have never come here in the first place. It's probably some illegal shit," I sighed, turning to walk away.
"Hold on, lady. We never do anything illegal." I sighed again, and turned back to them.
"Just... What do you want from me?"
"We want to make a proposal."
"For business?"
"Just for business."
"Go on."
"How would you like to be our top candidate?"
(Timeskip)
I sighed as I fitted into the tank top with my print on it.
"Are you sure I'm joining your ranks?" I asked, unsure. Goo nodded and smiled.
"Yeah, don't worry, you look fine," he said, chewing on his chips. I rolled my eyes and sat on the couch.
"So... We're going to meet up with the God Dogs?" I asked, leaning on the arm rest. Goo nodded.
"Just for business."
(Timeskip)
I shook the kid's hand.
"It's nice to meet you, Johan." I said, smiling. He smiled back.
"Likewise." I talked with Johan for a little bit, stirring up some conversation. I was a bit older than him, so I shared with him some of my experiences.
"Wait, really?" he said in disbelief. I giggled and nodded.
"Yeah, both of my parents left, I guess. They were found dead on the road hours after, both intoxicated and drunk." I explained more, briefly, fiddling with my thumbs as Johan listened intently.
"I-I'm sorry to hear..." he muttered, placing a hand on my back. I smiled gratefully.
"It was the past. It's over now, so no need to overthink these things." I got up as I heard someone calling my name.
"Time to go."
(Timeskip)
I sat, bored around the elaborate apartment.
"You really are hungry for money, aren't you Goo?" I asked, rolling my eyes. He feigned a look of shock.
"How dare you insult me like that, I'm not that money-mad," he exclaimed. I scoffed and continued to read.
"Hey... (Y/N), we kind of have a problem here," Goo said, motioning for me to come over. I yawned and walked over.
"What's up?" I said, looking over his shoulder.
"The boss said we have to crack a case, which is something we usually don't have to do. We're working together with these other kids, Kouji and some girl," Goo said, pointing to the faces. I nodded and motioned for him to continue.
"... We have to pretend we're a couple?" My face exploded with red.
"G-Gackk..." I managed to choke out. Goo started to laugh.
"It's only for business." Never have I ever, ever, ever, despised to hear those words, until that very moment.
(Timeskip)
I scrunched up my nose as I hooked my arm around Goo's arm.
"I still can't believe I'm doing this..." I thought, looking at the handsome male in front of me. He only smiled. Of course he can't hear my thoughts.
"Where are we going, Goo?"
"Jae Wong High. There's someone the boss needs us to keep an eye on. Supposedly, there's supposed to be a sex offender hiding out there."
"It's our business, I suppose."
(Timeskip)
I groaned as I got slammed into a locker.
"Gun, requesting backup, now!" I yelled, trying to block the attacks. I coughed up blood as they punched my stomach.
"Goddammit!" I screamed, slapping their face and throwing a series of kicks, until finally, they got knocked out. I breathed hard as I felt my consciousness waver.
"Goo, help me..." I gasped. My vision went black.
(Timeskip)
I woke up in a bed, blankets covering my whole body. I groaned and got up, my limbs hurting like hell.
"You're awake." I looked at Goo and glared.
"Did you think I was dead?" I spat, trying to get off the bed, but falling straight after. Goo rushed and caught me mid-fall. I grunted from the sudden impact.
"Don't rush yourself. You just got hurt," he said softly, setting me down on the bedside. I sighed and rubbed my temples.
"Yeah, sorry about... yesterday..." I said gently, rubbing my eyes. He put a hand on my back.
"Don't be. Honestly, Gun wasn't expecting you to actually beat him." I glared at Goo again.
"Hey, just stating facts," he chuckled. I smiled.
"About the thing... That we had to pretend we were a couple... Do we still have to do that?"
"I don't think so."
"Oh, oka-"
"But... It might be necessary in other events."
"What?"
"Like now."
"Are you flirting?"
"Maybe."
"Wait a minute... It wasn't only business that we had to 'pretend to be a couple'?"
"Nope."
"Fuck you."
"I'd like to~"
"Shut your mouth," I groaned, pushing him away. He smirked and looked into my eyes, pressing his lips against mine for a few seconds.
"Now you're my business."
