FOOD CAN HEAL NOT ONLY THE BODY BUT THE HEART~ Kelvin Diamond

I still couldn't remember why the hospital sounded so familiar, awfully familiar. Was it possible I hadn't gotten all of my memories back?

We were at the hospital, I took in the environment, I couldn't remember a thing about it. Maybe I have never been here, of course, why would I come to a psychiatric hospital?

"Good afternoon Miss! Please are here for Joy Halmen" Germain asked on of the nurses whose eyes lit up at the mention of her name.

Good! She knows her.

"Joy Halmen, she escaped this hospital 27 years ago! It's been a really long time. If not because people talked about her over the years, I wouldn't even know who she is". The nurse explained.

It's been a long time, would we ever find her?

"We really need to find her" Germain urged the nurse.

"You see that man over there? He is the oldest staff here! Ask him" she told us and we thanked her.

"Joy Halmen! It has been 27 years since she escaped this hospital, helped by a doctor! Doctor Landon". The man told us. He was a security and seemed to know a lot about her but then, Landon?

It's no wonder I remembered the name of the hospital, my dad was a psychiatrist but stopped working few years before he died. He moved from that hospital to the central hospital close to our home.

"Why would a doctor help her escape?" I asked out if curiosity and my need to clear my dad's name.

My father was a good man, there was no way he would have helped a patient escape.

"He made her leave!  Doctor Landon was a rapist! He raped a lot of patients while he worked here but we never believed them whenever they reported him.  Everyone thought they were just being crazy!" He explained.

"A rapist! No way!" I blurted out!

"Do you know him?" The man asked me.

Germain and Frederick stared at me expecting a response but I couldn't say that rapist was my father! It was shameful!

"He was my dad" I said shamefully.

"Wow! Why are you here searching for her then? After all he did? She got pregnant so he paid her off and helped her escape! He even threatened to have me lose my job if I said anything. I kept tabs on Joy until she gave birth! She dumped the poor child at an orphanage and disappeared into thin air. I tried adopting her as a baby but they wouldn't leave her for a man like me but I kept visiting her! Annie! I heard she got adopted my a wonderful family, that was what left me at peace".

Annie?

"What orphanage sir?" I asked him

"Hope Orphanage".

Hope orphanage? That was where Annie was adopted! Was Annie possibly the child of the psychiatric patient Joy? But what connection does that have with the woman pretending to be my mother?

"Annie was adopted from Hope orphanage" I told the cops.

"You know Annie?" The man asked then sighed "She is your sister then". He added.

My legs went weak at the mention of sister, I couldn't fight back the tears that made its way to my eyes. My sister, Annie was my sister!

Was that woman aware? Was she trying to make me marry her on purpose, knowing she was my sister? Who really is this woman?

"Thank you so much for your time sir. Do you have any idea if she has any relative of sort?" Frederick asked the man.

"Yes! She has a brother. He is in jail currently".

On our way back home, I couldn't help but wonder why I never knew about all these before Annie died. She always wanted to meet her family, she should have known I was one, her brother!

I had no one else to talk to but Khloe! I had no choice but to call her.

"Oh my! I can't imagine what you are feeling right now" she said  sadly.

"Who could imagine all of these happened? Your dad did not even seem capable of doing any of that". Kelvin also commented.

Her house was full, Hilda, Kelvin, she and Will. They all felt bad for what happened! Hilda was crying as I explained everything. I cried too!

Khloe came to sit beside me and pat my shoulder.

"It would be fine! Since we know now and have proof that she was killed by that crazy psychopath....."

"Psychopath? Could she possibly be Joy Halmen?" Will asked out of nowhere.

The word psychopath and psychiatric patient could have urged that thought.

"But then, Annie was the daughter of Joy! No one would kill their own daughter!" Hilda told Will.

"Except a psychopath" Kelvin said!

"Right! Except a psychopath! The cops had better arrest her as soon as possible before things get out of hand!" Will said.

"We will run a DNA with that of Joy's brother in jail to see if she truly is Joy Halmen!" I told them and without further delay, I texted the new discovery to the cops.

We need to arrest her as soon as possible!

KHLOE DIAMOND
It was crazy with Chris and Annie situation, the poor man keep finding out things that only hurt him. He has been through enough hurts for a lifetime. I heard that you have amount of pain you have to go through in life! Maybe he went through it all at once and all he has left is good times.

We were all at the opening of Kelvin's Restaurant which he name "Made With Love Restaurant". Weird name I know but he said he makes his food with love.

But he said, and I quote;
"All my life I have been making food with love. I only made food for the people close to my heart. The first time I took interest in cooking was when dad fell sick. I couldn't think of anything to do but make him a wholesome meal, the happiness in his eyes when he ate made me so happy!

It also healed my relationships, back then with Alicia, I cooked for her whenever she was pissed at me. It's the same with my sister Khloe and even now Hilda.

Mom also used to love my cooking, she used to say my food helps heal her heart! So I  believes food can heal not only the body but the heart and that is why I cook".

It was his long speech while he opened the restaurant! I can't believe I memorized it by heart. It was very emotional and brought tears to my eyes, thinking about mom and dad.

One downside was that, he and Hilda are fighting again because he mentioned Alicia.

"Maybe a meal would help" Will teased him.

A mother killing her own child! Is that possible?
I love the fact that everyone was there for Chris this time, even Will! It's amazing.

Anyways, I need a Kelvin in my life to always heal my heart with food.
