Chapter 3

After the wedding that surprised both Dom and I, we hurried off to Tokyo to retrieve Hans' body.

It was the worst thing in the word, getting married one minute and then picking up your friend's body the next. But, we made it through it, hoping to get some information from Sean, Hans' friend.

Sean leaned against his car while Dom and I leaned against Dom's, both cars facing the city. "Han mentioned he left his enemies in his rearview. He never talked about it much," Sean said, not bring us much help.

"Always playing it close to the vest," Dom said with a sad nod.

Sean reached into his car, "We found a couple things by the crash. Wasn't much left," he said, handing over a picture and his phone. I took the picture, looking at it to find it was a picture of Gisele.

"I tried calling Gisele when it first happened, there was no answer," I said with a sigh, lowering the picture. I had missed my friend, wishing she was here with us right now.

Where ever she is, I hope she's okay.

"When you find the guy that killed Han, what are you going to do?" Sean asked, looking at Dom and I. Dom looked out at the city, anger in his voice as he said, "Words ain't even been invented yet."

Dom talked with Sean a bit while I took a few steps to the side, deciding to call up Gisele again in hopes of hearing from her. Of course, there was no answer, just straight to voicemail.

"Gisele, its Emily. Listen I know you don't want to talk to anyone right now, and I understand that, but give me a sign that you're okay. I'm worried about you. Dominic and I are going to find the man that did this, and we're going to end him, I promise. I just thought you should know," I said, sighing and looking down at my shoes.

"I got married today," I said, smiling slightly. "I know, you didn't even know I was engaged. No one did except Mia and Brian. It just happened, and when we heard about all of this, we just got married. I'm so sorry Gisele."

With that, I hung up, looking over to find Dom looking at me. I slowly shook my head, telling him there was still no answer. A sigh left his lips before he nodded for me to get back into the car.

Opening my door, Dom let me in before sitting in his driver seat. Silence filled the car as we just sat there, looking over Tokyo. "Some Honeymoon," I said, breaking the silence slightly.

"Come on, we should get back," Dom said, grabbing my hand and giving it a kiss before we back up and drove back to the airport.

Neither one of us could say a word as we just sat in silence. My hand was continuously turning the ring on my ring finger while Dom seemed to lightly mess with his cross necklace, both of us realizing that we just got married and was now on our way back home to burry our friend.

"When this is over, we'll have to tell them what we did," I said, looking over to Dom who sat next to me.

"Mia's going to be pissed," Dom said, making me half smile and nod in agreement, "So will Brian." I looked down at my ring, my mind wandering around before it broke to a stop at Dom's words. "You're not regretting this are you?"

I quickly looked at Dom, my mouth lightly dropping, "No, of course not. I'm thrilled to be married to you. I just wish things were different," I said, looking back down at the ring.

Dom wrapped his arm around me, letting me lean my head in his chest as he kissed the top of my head before silence filled us once again.

When we landed, the word got out quickly to any of Han's family and friends, including Tej and Roman. Brian returned for the funeral, making sure Mia and Jack staid back and was protected.

The last thing we needed was something happening to them.

I studied my black dress that stopped just below my knees, black tights under them. A black leather jacket sat on the bed behind me, prepared to be worn if necessary.

My head shook, my mind trying to forget this moment as Dom walked into the bedroom. "Are you ready?" Dom asked, as I threw my hair up into a high pony-tale. A sigh left my lips as I looked at Dom through the mirror before looking back at my dress.

"If Hans was here right now, he's take one look at me and say "You're uncomfortable. Take that dress off, it's not you. And it's not me, I don't wear dresses. The only time I've ever worn a dress was our wedding, and that was only two days ago. Yet, in just one week, I find myself wearing a dress twice."

Dom walked over as I talked, stopping as close as he could without touching me. I looked over my shoulder, my eyes not looking up at him as I said, "Promise me I'll never have to wear a dress again."

Wrapping his arms around me, giving me enough room to move and look at him, Dom said, "You won't."

With those words hanging in my head, Dom got into his car, waiting for me to join him when I stopped, looking over at my own car that hasn't been driven in a while.

"I think I'll take my car," I said, looking back at Dom who nodded before watching me walk away and get into my own, black car. Even with heels on, I still could drive better than any normal driver. But don't think for a minute that I enjoyed it more than my black boots or regular shoes.

Everyone's cars were lined up by the many graves outside, all bright colors minus mine and Dom's.

Brian, Roman, and Tej stood towards the back, not even bothering to take a seat with everyone else.

I joined them, Dom soon following after as I placed my jacket in my folded hands in front of me. Everyone was silent as the pastor mumbled some stuff that was supposed to ease anyone's mind but instead made mine scrunch up in an uneasy feeling.

When the pastor's words ended and Dom took my hand, placing it around his arm, we made our way up to the picture of Han, his casket right behind it. My hands clenched Dom's arm, an uneasy feeling as we stopped and faced the closed casket, the only sound was the birds in trees behind us.

"They say to live in the hearts of those we leave behind is not to die. But he put you in this grave. So now I'll do the same to him," Dom said, his head lowering.

Seeing Dom's face that was mixed with anger and sadness, I knew he'd want a minute alone, so I gave his arm one more tight squeeze before dropping them and walking back to Brian, Roman, and Tej.

My feet stopped by Brian who stood next to Roman. "I hate funerals," I said, my hands clenching my jacket as I watched Dom's back, seeing every breath and movement he made.

"First the house, then Han, now Hobbs is laid up, of all people. We're being hunted. You know he's out there somewhere watching, right?" Roman asked, looking at Brian who kept a straight face. "I hope so. Means he's close."

I looked at Brian, watching as his eyes staid on Dom. "Promise me Brian," I started, watching as he looked at me, "No more funerals." Brian said nothing, as if promising me that would only cause another death, so he simple nodded, giving me some reassurance.

As my eyes went back to where Dom stood, they noticed that he was no longer there. Quickly, I looked around, finding him taking his jacket off as he hurried to his car, jumping in, and racing off.

My hand reached up, giving Brian a tight squeeze before following Dom's footsteps. I jumped into my driver seat, throwing my jacket into the passenger seat, before chasing after Dom's car.

"Where are you Dom?" I questioned to myself, my eyes scanning the cars around me as I made my way onto the road.

Suddenly, my eyes caught sight of Dom's car turning under a bridge, followed by another car. Quickly I spun my wheel, doing a U-turn in the middle of the road, followed by cars screeching to a stop and honky at me. I sped my car down the road, making a sharp turn that would put me back on their paths.

I expected to see Dom's car peel out from under the hidden bridge but when I saw nothing, I could only assume that, that is where they might be.

Slowly, my car crept, my eyes looking for Dom's car or even the one that followed him. Nothing. Then, as if god had told me himself, I made a right, leading me to what I assumed to be a dark parking lot, but instead came face to face with a hidden alley way.

Dom.

I stopped my car, my mouth dropping slightly as I spotted Dom's car and the car that had followed him both a wreck. Their front parts had crashed into each other, Dom's car getting most of the damage in the collision.

Decker Shaw.

Dom was out of his car, a crowbar in his hand while a few scratched and bruises covered him. He seemed to be making small talk with Decker, though I couldn't hear a word they were saying. I quickly swung open my door, not even bothering to close it as I took a few steps forward, stopping right in front of my car when I spotted the gun that sat perfectly in Decker's hand.

I could hear the smirk on him, "It seems we have company." "Leave her out of this," Dom said, anger in his voice.

"And if I don't?" Decker asked, making me jump slightly when he rose the gun, pointing it at me.

As quickly as I had seen the giant smile on his face when we said "I do", I now saw his entire face drop, ready to drop the crowbar and hand over everything if it meant me being safe.

My hand reached behind me, ready to pull out a gun only to recall the fact that I was in a dress and my gun was back in the car with my jacket. Of course.

Suddenly, black cars and SUV's pull up, men rushing in from left and right causing Decker to lower his gun and jump back into his car, racing off right past me.

One of the men started to walk towards me, causing me to quickly kick him, my heel probable leaving a mark on his stomach. He stumbled backwards, almost landing on his butt at the surprise impact.

My eyes caught Dom, watching as he punched one guy before grabbing the other, holding him in a headlock just as three guys pointed their gun as me, stopping me from doing anything else to these assholes.

A black SUV pulls up just by my car, a man with short hair and sunglasses leaving it. "Whoa, whoa. Easy, guys. We're on the same team here." The guy takes off his sunglasses, looking at Dom as he gives him a warm smile, "Mr. Toretto, I'm here on the recommendation of a mutual friend of ours. Mr. Hobbs."

"Who the hell are you?" Dom spat out at him, the man in his arms struggling to breath. The guy pointed to himself, "Me? I'm just a guy. I'm Mr. Nobody."

I joined in on the conversation that seemed to go on with just these twos until I'd make my own comment. "That's a pretty big entrance for a nobody." Mr. Nobody looked over at me, giving me a simple nod as if he was agreeing with me.

"And the guy that put our mutual friend in the hospital? You just let him get away," Dom joined in, clearly pissed at this Mr. Nobody.

"I think I might have just saved your ass there, Dom, both of you actually," Mr. Nobody said, giving me a quick glance before focusing his attention back on Dom. "Listen, you think you could let go of my guy there? He's beginning to turn a little blue"

"Tell your guys to lower your guns," Dom said, nodding over to where I stood. The man followed the nod, looking at me before smiling, "Ah, yes, of course, I forgot how close you two are."

With a simple motion, everyone lowered their guns, causing Dom to let go of the man in his arms who hurried over to one of his friend's.

Dom met my eyes, keeping them as Mr. Nobody thanked Dom. Suddenly police sirens were heard in the distance, ready to rain even more hell on us. Mr. Nobody seemed to not be surprised by the sound, "Ah, here they come. Listen, Dom. There's a war going on between shadows and ghosts like me. You and your team unwittingly walked into the middle of it in London, and it appears it's now followed you home. It's up to you."

Mr. Nobody turned, throwing on his sunglasses as he walked to the SUV, "I'm gonna have a beer. You're welcome to join me." A sudden stop in his SUV made me look at him, watching as a smile grew on his face as he met Dom's eyes, "By the way, I can get you Deckard Shaw."

My mouth dropped slightly as I turned, watching as Dom gave Mr. Nobody the same look before meeting my own eyes.

Dom looked over his shoulder, looking at his baby that was now destroyed before sighing and walking over to me. "Excellent," Mr. Nobody said with a giant smile, "You both can join me in the black SUV."

"We're taking her car," Dom said, eyeing Mr. Nobody, still pissed at him as he walked over to me.

I placed my hand on his chest, stopping him from walking past me and to the driver seat. "What happened?" I asked, seeing all the cuts on his body, some oozing blood that stained his white shirt. "I'm fine," Dom said, trying to walk past me again.

Once again, my hand stopped him, my feet stepping in front of him, "Dominic," I said, using his full first name. He sighed, looking deep into my eyes before placing his hands on my cheeks, "I'm fine, I promise," He whispered before leaning in, giving me a small kiss before walking past me and into my driver seat.

Any other day, I would have argued with him driving my car, but right now I knew he need to drive and get his mind off of things so I shut my mouth.

We followed the SUV along with many other black cars to a Covert Operations Base a city away from us.

Dom pulled my car in, parking it before getting out. I grabbed my jacket, slipping it on when I realized I was still in my dress and heels. Dom waited for me before we walked over to Mr. Nobody who stood inside, smiling at us.

We were both silent as we made our way over to Mr. Nobody. He reached over, grabbing himself a tall glass before shoving it under a tube, pouring what looked to be bear into the glass. "Belgian ale," Mr. Nobody said before taking a long swig of it, smiling proudly afterwards.

"Oh, man, those monks got it right. I mean, I don't know about the whole celibacy thing, but when it comes to beer, wow. Would you two like one?"

"We're more of a Corona person ourselves," Dom said, crossing his arms over his chest, still a little pissed at Mr. Nobody.

Mr. Nobody nodded, opening up a cooler below his feet revealing tons of Corona. My eyes went wide at the sight, impressed with his knowledge of us but also creeped out.

"Your files are not only detailed, their, uh, extremely entertaining," Mr. Nobody said, holding out two opened drinks to Dom and I. Taking the drinks, we both take a swig of it, enjoying the liquid as it ran down my throat. "Especially the parts about your wife and yours history," Mr. Nobody said like we were simple talking about the weather.

My eyes looked to Dom, who was eyeing the man before us suspiciously. Noticing the look, Mr. Nobody shrugged at him, "What? You're married, it's not a secret if you just look in the right places."

Tempted to walk away but wanting to hear what this guy had to say, Dom and I followed in suite as we solely started to walk. "Look, Shaw's power is that he's a shadow. He's really good at getting in and out of places without being seen and leaving nothing but a body count in his wake. I mean, he's a legitimate English badass. But to be honest with you, I don't give two shits about Deckard Shaw. It's you two I want. Because we can help each other get what we all need."

"We're listening," I said, before taking another swig of the Corona.

"Just recently a private military company led by a wanted terrorist named Mose Jakande kidnapped a hacker known only by the name, Ramsey. Now, Lady Liberty's got her panties in a bunch over this, but rightfully so, because this Ramsey has created something interesting."

We walked up a few flights of stairs before entering a large room, computers and screens everywhere. "Say hello to God's Eye," Mr. Nobody said, pointing to the screen. My eyes looked around, noticing a few people that were furiously typing away on the computers.

"Tej would love this," I whispered to myself, hearing a hum from Dom who stood next to me.

Mr. Nobody continued, "Now, this little bastard hacks into anything that's on the digital network. That means every cell phone, satellite, ATM machine and computer. Simultaneously. If it's got a microphone or a lens, God's Eye can use it to find you."

"Yeah, that's not creepy," I said, glancing at Mr. Nobody who seemed to smile and nod in response to me. Dom let out a heavy sigh, "So you invited us here to show us a tracking device?"

Smiling and letting out a small, soft laugh, the man before us said, "On steroids. Lots of them. Let me put it to you this way. It took us nearly a decade to find Osama bin Laden. With this, we'd have located him anywhere on the planet in a couple of hours. Now, that's a serious piece of machinery that could be catastrophic in the wrong hands. But for some very nauseating political reasons, any rescue plans involving any US government forces or entity has been strictly ruled out. And that's why I need you two."

"But why do we need you?" Dom asked, laying his hands on the table before him, "I mean, we could go back outside, enjoy the rest of our Coronas, and let Shaw come to us."

Nodding, and pointing at us, Mr. Nobody said, "You could do that. But unless you want your wife or your friends to follow one friend that's in the ground and the other friend that's in the hospital, you'll help us." We were both silent, unable to speak to that.

Mr. Nobody continued, "Decker Shaw lives in a world that doesn't play by your rules. Like it or not, you live in that world now, too. You wanna know how to kill a shadow? You just shine a little light on it. If you get the God's Eye for me, I've already got authorization for you to use it until you get Shaw. You go from the hunted to the hunter. And there's no place on Earth Decker Shaw can hide from you. More importantly, you and your family don't go to any more funerals. You get Ramsey, you get the God's Eye, you get Shaw."

Dom and I looked at each other, both of us not really looking but thinking. In one hand, we'd get Shaw and end this. On the other hand, we could be trusting a guy that would only push us closer to our deaths.

"Well, that's the wind-up and the pitch. Now that I've given you this incredibly sensitive and highly classified information, what do you think, Toretto?" Mr. Nobody asked, looking more so at Dom, knowing that he held most of the cards.

Looking back at Mr. Nobody, Dom stood up straighter, "I think you already know what I'm gonna do. But it'll be my way and my crew."

Smiling, Mr. Nobody said, "I assumed you might say that. Which is why I've taken the liberty of gathering up the rest of your team," He nodded to behind Dom and me where a large window sat. We turned and looked out it, watching as cars after cars rolled in.

Roman, Tej, and Brian slipped out of the cars, looking around in amazement.

I walked past Dom and made my way down the stairs. "Emily! What is this place?" Tej asked, looking in amazement at the men that worked on vehicles and weapons around us.

"I'm not even fully sure," I said, hugging Brian. I pulled away, looking behind me to find Dom standing at the bottom of the steps with Mr. Nobody behind him.

"Who the hell is that?" Roman asked, gesturing to the man behind Dom. "Mr. Nobody," I said, turning and walking towards them. Dom and Mr. Nobody, along with a few military guys, made their way to us, greeting everyone before joining around a large table.

With one click of a button the table lit up, revealing a 3D map of where Ramsey would be.

Mr. Nobody was the first to speak, "Our intelligence suggests that Ramsey will be transported by an armed motorcade through the Caucasus mountain range. If they clear this range and reach their destination, Ramsey is as good as gone."

Roman took a step back, shaking his head, "So let me get this straight. There's only one road that leads in or out, sheer drops on every side, a motorcade from hell protected by a small army from one mile in either direction?"

"Yeah, that's about it," Mr. Nobody responded with.

The military guy spoke up, looking at Roman who was starting to make a scene, "You done?"

"No, I'm not done," Roman said, making me sigh and place my hands on the table. "So you all wanted me to break into a police station. Fine. Then you asked me to stop a tank. I wasn't happy about it, but I did it. Then you came up with this brilliant idea to shoot down one of the largest airplanes ever. I shot that shit out of the sky. It's nothing. But this right here, my friend, happens to be the stupidest idea I've ever heard of in my life."

Tej quickly spoke up, "I forgot that you were the only one to bring the plane down." Brian smiled, shaking his head, "No, no. The only thing I've ever seen him take down was "No Knees" Denise. Remember, at prom?"

Roman eyed Brian angrily, "Really, Brian? You're gonna do that right here? See, y'all trying to get me off my point. All I'm saying is, I'm tired of everybody around me making all the decisions. This time, I lead. Seriously. If I don't start making decisions, I'm out."

Dom looked at Roman, sighing before crossing his arms, "All right, Roman. What do you got?"

Roman looked at Dom shocked, surprised to see him actually agreeing to this. Clearly he wasn't ready.

"I mean, I wasn't trying to get into the whole leadership thing, like, now. You know what I'm saying? I was just, kind of, talking about, like, at some point. I mean, I think," Roman looks at the 3D map, pointing on the side of a mountain, bringing it in closer. "Let's hit it from here."

The military guy spoke up, raising his voice a little, "Okay. It is impossible to hit it there. That is literally the most secure spot on the mountain. Why? Because you cannot physically access it."

Roman smiled, "See, that's what makes it so sweet. Because it's the place that they least expect us to hit them from."

I rose my eyes at Roman, surprised to hear a good plain actually come out of his mouth. "As much as I hate to admit it, he's onto something there," I said standing up straight and taking a step back, crossing my arms before looking at Dom, "What do you think, Dom?"

Dom looked at the map, pointing to the same spot Roman did, "Here?" Roman nodded in agreement. Taking a step back so he was right by me, Dom looked at me, lowering his arms to take my hand in his, "I think we got a plan."

Mr. Nobody smiled wide, looking excited, "Completely wrong thinking, and I like it." Roman smiled proudly, "You see? I'm good at this."

Looking at Dom, Mr. Nobody placed a hand on his shoulder, turning him which caused his hand to leave mine, "You know, when I was reading your files, I was impressed with what you've accomplished with your team. But meeting them now, I've gotta say, Dom, you've truly got a gift. Consider my workshop your new playhouse. I think you'll find our cars extremely appealing."

Dom smiled, nodding in agreement. "Brian! We're gonna need long-travel suspension, limited-slip differentials on all of them. Tej. I want the demon love child between that," He pointed to his broken down car, "and that," he finished, pointing to a metal, military jeep.

Tej looked shocked but excited at the thought, "That's a lot of armor. It's just gonna add more weight. Slow you down."

Dom looked over his shoulder at Tej, "This time, it ain't just about being fast."

I eyed Dom curiously, wondering what he had planned, but excited to find out the end result.

Here's a long chapter for everyone, I hope you like it! Please comment and vote.
