Chapter 5
After Mr. Nobody picked us up in the same plane we jumped out of, everyone was either tired or trying to love struck Ramsey who seemed rather annoyed by it all.
I had laid on one of the outstretched seat, my arms being my pillow as I tried to find a dream. Nothing. It was if my eyes and body were perfectly happy with staying closed while everything else just wanted to toss and turn.
Finally, I had given in and just laid there with my eyes closed, hoping to find at least rest before we escaped to another place.
Suddenly, I felt something being placed over and Brian's voice off a little distance say, "Hey, Dom." The footsteps walked away, making me open my eyes slightly to find Dom's jacket over me.
Brian and Dom had found a corner, not too far away from me, where they started to talk. Me being me, I closed my eyes again and listened in on them, curious to know what was about to be said.
"It was pretty wild on that mountain, huh?" Brian asked making a sharp breath leave Dom's lips, "No, it was too close."
"But we got the job done," Brian paused for a minute, making me wonder if Dom had given him a look that would shut him up or if the subject was going to suddenly change. "You know what the crazy thing is," Brian started but stopped him with the words of his sister.
"You miss the bullets." "Yeah, that's messed up, huh?" Brian asked, making my insides shrug slightly. Not entirely, I mean even when Dom and I would leave town or the state together, we'd always find ourselves starting a fight which would lead to something either start a race or get someone punched. Either way, it usually ended with police showing up and everyone needing a quick escape.
Just like old times.
Dom sounded like he had a smile on his face, "Brian, I've seen you jump from trains, dive from planes. Hell, I saw your courage the day I met you." Brian seemed to lightly say, "Right," as if he didn't believe Dom.
This didn't stop Dom, "Want to know the bravest thing I ever saw you do? Be a good man to Mia. Being a great father to my nephew, Jack. Everyone's looking for the thrill, but what's real is family. Your family. Hold on to that, Brian."
Brian's voice was soft, understanding, "Yeah, I guess you're right." There was another pause, making me think the conversation had ended, yet when Brian spoke up again, I managed to listen in a bit more.
"At least I'm not the only one," Brian said and there was another pause, making me think he was talking about Dom. "Don't think no one saw it, Emily still loves the thrill of a fast drive or a mission. She's more family to us then she's ever been to anyone else's."
If I wasn't pretending I was asleep I would have opened my eyes wide with surprise. They were talking about me? Wow, wasn't expecting that.
Dom's voice was low, yet even I could hear it, "Yeah, she is." There was another pause before I heard footsteps walking over, making me continue to keep my eyes closed. I felt someone sit close by me before a hand was placed on my arm, just sitting there.
Dom.
"I don't know what I'd do without her," Dom mumbled as if Brian was standing right there. I almost jumped when Brian replied right in front of me, "I don't think any of us would."
With that, there was no more words, I mean minus the ones being yelled out by the captain, "Ten minutes till touchdown!"
A sigh left my lips as I sat up, looking around to find no one but Tej who was sitting, playing on his phone. "Where is everyone?" I asked, my eyes still looking around.
"Once we land, we'll be heading right out, so everyone went to go get dressed," Tej said, not even looking up from his game.
My looked around for my bag, only to find it nowhere in sight. It wasn't until one of the doors open and Dom, Brian, and Ramsey walked out did I spot my bag in Dom's hand.
"I was wonder where that went," I said as Dom stopped in front of me, holding out my bag for me to take. He wore white shoes, shorts, and a white tank top, looking as hot as he did on our wedding day.
"We'll be landing soon, you better get changed, it's hot," Dom said with a smile as I stood up, poking my head into the bag. "I don't remember packing this stuff," I said, not recognizing the clothes that sat in the bag.
Brian spoke up, setting his bag down next to me, "You can thank Mr. Nobody for the clothes."
That made more sense.
I walked through the same door Dom, Brian, and Ramsey walked through, discovering three doors that held bathrooms in them. Closing the door behind me, I pulled out the outfit, finding a black and red bikini with white shorts and a loose white tank top to go over it, along with some slip on white shoes.
I quickly got dressed, splashing some water on my face to fully wake me up before I looked at myself in the mirror.
Using a brush I found in my bag, I brushes my hair out, deciding to put it up into a high bun, letting a few strains fall down the front.
My body jumped when the door opened, Dom walking in and closing the door behind him. "You scared me, I thought it might be Roman trying to get a peek of Ramsey," I said with a smile as I tried my face. The bathroom wasn't too big, but big enough where Dom and I could stand comfortable and not be squished like most planes.
Dom smiled and let out a small chuckle at my comment before walking up to me, placing his hands on my waste, watching me through the mirror.
"Yeah, Roman already tried that, wasn't too happy when he walked into Brian's bathroom."
I smiled, looking down at the sink with a laugh that couldn't be contained as I pictured Roman doing just that. He was probable in one of the bathrooms scrubbing out his eyes right now, curse every word he knew and talking to himself as if he was talking to a friend.
I was yanked back into reality when I felt Dom's lips on my neck, making me look up and watch him. "I love you," Dom mumbled against my neck, making me turn around and wrap my arms around him, "I love you too."
My lips found Dom's for a minute before the plane shook, breaking us apart. "We should go before Roman takes down the plane," I said, making Dom laugh and nod.
Grabbing my bag, Dom and I headed back to our seats, buckling up as the plane landed. Dom draped his arm around me as we exited the plane. Cars were lined up outside of the plane, instantly my hand rose as I yelled out, "I call the purple car!"
Dom laughed as Brian shook his head before throwing his bag into a light green car. Dom took the black car, Roman took the white, and Tej took the blue, letting Ramsey ride with him which led to an argument between him and Roman.
Tej and Ramsey lead the way, while the rest of us followed. Piles of sand surrounded the road, which lead to a beautiful city.
Everyone wasted no time in parking their cars, finding the beach, and reserving a tent for us to relax in. Ramsey dipped into the water while Roman and Tej watched from their seats with drool rolling down their chin. Brian sat near them, listening in with a laughing smile. Dom was laying back in one of the chairs while I practically laid across him, just enjoying the waves and beach.
"Now, that is a woman that's worth falling out a plane for," Tej said, keeping his eyes on Ramsey. "Get out of there, man, I got dibs on that. You've seen me looking at that," Roman said, making me shake my head at them.
Tej looked at Roman with a confused look, "Did you just say "dibs"? What are you, in the fourth grade?"
"Yes," I mumbled, only loud enough for Brian and Dom to hear me which gained a large, toothy smile. "Man, can you just get out of there? I mean, it's a free market," Roman said, looking over his shoulder at him.
I sighed, standing up and walking over to the drinks. "Rock, paper, scissors for her," Tej said, breaking into a smile.
I turned and faced the two men, "Are you guys for real right now? Look at you. You both look whupped already. You got stalker eyes," I said, leaning against the table.
A man suddenly walked over to the tent, smiling widely, "I tried to call dibs on Ramsey two years ago. Her knee, my balls. Trust me, you don't wanna do that." As he spoke, Ramsey walked out of the water, grabbing a towel and wrapping it around her as she approached the guy, "Hello, Safar," Ramsey said, hugging him.
"I see you make some new friends," Safar said, looking at all of us. Ramsey shrugged slightly, "Yeah, some short-tempered new friends. I need the speed drive I sent you. Where is it?"
Safar smiled, "Oh, good. You will be pleased to know I sold it," Safar said, looking as if he had just done the best thing in the entire world. "You sold it?" Ramsey shrieked making me look over at Dom, "You hear that?"
Dom stood up, crossing his arms as he faced Safar while Ramsey freaked out, "I asked you to take care of it. Why on earth would you sell it?" "We're gonna need it back," Dom said making Safar look at him shocked, "Impossible."
Ramsey quick spoke up, making Safar feel bad, "Safar, I stashed something inside it. It's important."
Sighing and holding up his hands, Safar quickly replied with, "Okay, okay. Uh, good news, it is safe."
"And the bad news?" I asked, already predicting that there was bad news. Anytime someone says "good news" there is always bad news to go along with it. "It is very safe," Safar said, motioning for us to follow him.
Sighing, we all followed Safar, stopping near a railing that looked over the town. He points out four, tall, expensive towers, all circling each other. "I sold it to a Jordanian prince living up there. Trust fund billionaire. Said he wanted to use it for his supercar."
Roman smiled widely, "Now, see, this? This I like. Billionaire, supercar-"
"What makes it so super?" Ramsey quickly asked? "242 miles per hour, top speed. And it's bulletproof," Safar said, making a whistle leave my lips, before I looked at Dom who stood behind me, "I want it." Dom smiles, placing his hands on my shoulders and squeezing them lightly before focusing back on Safar, "Where does he keep it?"
"In his penthouse, tower number one," Safar said, pointing to one of the towers. "Keeping a beast in a cage, it's a sad thing," Dom said, his voice deep.
Tej shook his head, "Now, why in the hell would he keep his car in his penthouse?"
Safar shrugged, "He's a billionaire, my friend. He can do whatever he wants. Now, tomorrow happens to be the longest day of the year. The prince wants to celebrate it and host a party tomorrow afternoon."
"So you can get us up there, right?" Brian asked, making him look at us, "Sure. But, uh, not dressed like that."
We all eyed him before we headed out. Sure enough, Safar bought everyone suites and dresses, letting us get some sleep before getting us into the party. I wore a beautiful res dress, a large slide in the side while the neckline was pretty low. A necklace was placed over my neck while I slipped on some red high heels.
Dom was all dressed up in a suite, joining me in the elevator as we waited to reach the top floor.
I stood uncomfortable in the dress as I watched the numbers change, peeking over to see Dom stare at me with a light in his eyes that only made me smile, "What? Is something wrong?" I asked, figure I had red lipstick on my teeth or a stain on my dress.
No me, I wouldn't' be surprised if I did.
"There's a billion things wrong," Dom said, taking my hands, "But not in this moment."
I smiled and reached up, fixing Dom's tie, "You look handsome." "I feel awkward," Dom said with a smile, though his movement from foot to foot proved he hated wearing suites. "You and me both," I said, lowering my hands and meeting Dom's eyes.
"Just seeing you dressed like this just reminds me of something," Dom said, making me laugh slightly, "You know, Ramsey is good, spotting us out like that. She almost blew our secret," I said, making Dom lean down and kiss me, whispering against my lips, "When this is over, we'll tell them, I promise."
Smiling, I whispered against his lips, "I'm not worried." Suddenly, the elevator came to a halt, breaking our kiss.
Dom and I cleared our throats before turning and looking at the elevator door, watching as they opened, "Showtime," Dom said before existing the elevator first. Dom walked down the steps while I stepped out, walking over to the railing that over looked the party.
My hand reached up, switching on the ear piece that connected me with everyone else. I lean against the railing, a waitress walking over and offering me some champion that I quickly take and mouth a "thank you."
The party was filled with all different types of people that dance around or drank while some girls painted in all gold danced on steps.
Of course, as I switched on my ear piece, Roman was the first person that came through, talking about the party. "Listen, man. They're telling me they party like this every day. On this level, they party every day. This is crazy. I might have to move out here. I think I'm gonna start a new culture. It's called Blarab. You know, like "black Arab."
Ignoring Roman's comments, Dom asked, "How are we looking, Tej?"
Between Tej and Ramsey, they were trying to access the computers and get into the security system.
"We're almost in position. Okay, so this is how it works. We got to move in sync if we're gonna pull this off. So let's go over it to make sure everyone clearly understands their roles. Roman, that means you."
Roman sounded angry, "You know what, you're being real unprofessional right now, Tej."
Tej ignored Roman's comment, filling everyone in, "The God's Eye chip is hidden in a speed drive installed in the prince's car, which he keeps in a safe room vault."
Brian spoke up, eyeing the security around the room, "I make 8 to 10 plainclothes security." "Not to mention the prince and his personal bodyguards," Dom said, looking at the four girl security guards. A fifth girl stood next to the prince. She was tall, dirty blonde, and buff. Unlike the security wear, she wore a long pink dress, blending in with the party.
"Security cameras are clustered by the north wall. That's where the vault is," Brian said, making me look over at the wall, spotting the door.
Tej spoke up again, "We got to get in that vault, we got to tap into the security system, which can be accessed in the prince's bedroom."
"All right, guys, I'm going in," I said, leaving my spot at the railing. "Be careful," Brian said as I rounded a corner, walking down a medium size hallway. I downed the rest of my champion before setting down the empty glass. A security guard stands in front of a closed door, the prince's room.
"Excuse me," I say with a smile as the security guard starts ranting off something that I didn't understand. "Oh, I was just looking for the-" Before I could finish the security guard interrupted me, "The party is that way."
The man pointed out behind me, where the party was going. I ignored his pointing and punched him in throat, causing him to gasp and fall unconsciously to the floor. I grab his key card before swiping it by the door, causing it to unlock and open. Pushing the door open, I grabbed the security guard and dragged him inside, mumbling, "I hate heels."
After closing the door, I looked around the giant room, "All right, Tej, I'm in."
"All right, find the phonejack," Tej said, making my eyes glance around each wall, finding it near a glass table. Pushing the table, I grabbed my knife that I kept hidden away on a strap on my leg. Using the knife, I popped open the phonejack, discovering tons of wires.
"It's gonna be a 350-megahertz CAT5e cable. They probably gota couple dozen back there, but this will be the bonded pair with the plenum coat," Tej started to ramble on making me sigh and cut in, "English, Tej."
"It'll be the orange wire," Tej said, making be search through the wires to find a thin orange one. Cutting it with the knife, I waited to hear either a panic voice from Tej or a happy voice. "All right, ladies and gentlemen, we are in the pilot seat. All right, Roman."
"Do whatever it is you do," Ramsey said, while I placed the wires back in the wall. Roman is talking on and on about someone's birthday which distracts the crowd and gives Dom and Brian enough time to get into the room with the car.
Securing my knife back in my strap, I turn and head back to the double doors that let me in before. Opening them up, I quickly stop in my tracts at the sight of four security ladies and the tall, dirty blonde chick that was clearly dressed more for the party then to fight.
All of their eyes notice the still unconscious guard that lays by the door, causing me to look down at it before looking back up at the guards. "Would you believe that I just found him like that?" I asked, causing the blonde to scuff, "Not even close."
Quickly I closed the doors, only for them to burst back open by the four security ladies. One of them ran towards me, punching me hard across the face before kicking me, causing me to stumble backwards. Another lady goes to punch me again only for me to block it by my arms.
I punch of the lady's, getting kicked again which causes me to roll over the couch and land on the ground with a hard thud.
A groan leaves my lips as I try to catch my breath, looking over my shoulder to see one of the security lady's, raising her fist and readying to punch me. Before her fist collides with my face, I grab her arm, flipping her over onto the glass table next to me, breaking the glass.
Quickly I compose myself and stand to my feet, kicking the second girl in the stomach which causes her to fall onto the couch. Using my heel, I kick the lady right in the privates before I'm punched once again in the face. Two more lay's stand, causing me to stumble back again as I'm punched by the other girl. My arms try to block the punches only to get bruised up in the process.
My eyes catch sight of a large, picture hanging on the wall, resembling some type of ocean scenery.
Somehow, I was able to side step, causing one of the girl's to fall flat on her face as I race over, grabbing the picture and turning, slamming the picture over the third lady's head and kicking her to the ground.
A loud growl leaves the last girl's lips, causing me to look up to see her trying to punch me once again. I grab her arm and pin her up against the wall, grabbing her head and slamming it into the wall which creates a hole.
I let her body drop to the floor, causing me to turn to now only see the dirty blonde chick, readying her fists as she looks at me angrily. "Thank God you showed up. These parties bore me to death," She says as I throw my hair up into a messy bun.
"Yeah, well I'm not much into dresses either, so if you don't mind hurrying up, I'd like to get out of it," I said, readying my own fists.
Suddenly, the girl makes a large jump, jumping over one of the girl's to land a hard punch to my face, knocking me to the ground. I use my left leg and kick the girl back, away from me before quickly regaining some type of strength and standing up to throw two punches at her.
Once again, I'm kicked into a small table, grabbing onto it for support as my eyes notice a large vase rocking on it. I grab the vase and smash it over the lady's head, causing a loud scream to leave her lips.
I use her distraught moment to punch her a few more time, only for my arm to be grabbed and spun around, causing a sharp scream to leave my lips. Suddenly, I'm pushed roughly through a wall, causing my body to fall with half the wall.
By now, I feel blood running from my forehead and nose, filling my mouth with the taste of blood. My arm hurts, as does the rest of my body, and I'm not surprised if my feet are bleeding from these damn heels.
Suddenly, the women is on top of me again, throwing one punch after another, not letting me get any type of relief. My hand reaches down, grabbing my knife before pushing it deep into the women's leg which causes a loud scream to leave her lips and her body to roll over.
I grab onto the half of the wall that hasn't been destroyed yet, pulling myself up as I try to catch my breath. The dirty blonde lady stands back up, ripping the knife out of her leg before throwing it to the side, running towards me which causes my eyes to go wide as I'm roughly grabbed and thrown into the double doors that let us enter and leave the room.
The doors and us fall to the floor before the lady grabs onto my hair, yanking me up to my feet which gives me just enough time to throw a punch at her.
One punch is thrown from each of us as we step backwards, trying to block or duck the other's fists. By now, we're back out at the party, my back roughly hitting the railing behind me.
The lady grabs me again, stumbling us both back and over the railing. We fall from the second story down to the first, my back colliding with a hard surface. From the sound of the hard surface, I'm assuming we just landed and destroyed the piano.
My head and body are pounding with pain as my eyes fight to stay open. I faintly hear Roman's voice as he runs over to me, helping me up, "Em, Emily, talk to me. Are you okay?"
Suddenly, the wall near us is rip open, the smart car screeching to a stop which reveals Dom and Brian inside of it. The elevator does dings and I look behind me to see Decker Shaw walk in with a huge gun.
Roman yanks me out of the room, my eyes glancing back to see Dom charging towards him.
"Come on! Let's go!" Roman yells as he yanks me out of the room, one hand on my hand while the other is on my waste, keeping me up as we stumble through the crowd and back outside.
Finally we come to a stop, only for me to be pushed into Roman's car. Roman gets in before racing off, my breath fully returning, which causes me to look around.
By now, the adrenaline that was keeping me going before is sucked out of me, causing me to feel the ach throughout my body.
"Where's Dom?" I asked, looking around slowly before hissing in pain at the pain in my head. My hand reaches up only to pull back to see blood on my hand. Crap.
"Don't worry, you'll be okay. We'll meet up with everyone at the meet up place," Roman says in a frantic voice which only makes me more nervous. Suddenly, the car comes to a stop and I look around to see Tej and Ramsey standing by their car, darkness just about to take over.
Tej runs over as Roman opens his door, a hiss leaving my lips lightly as I open my own. Though I wanted to stand and prove I was perfectly fine, I decided to stick this one out and just stay in the car, closing my eyes as I try to focus on something else.
The sound of a car reeving to a stop doesn't make me open my eyes. Nothing does, not even Dom's voice talking with Tej. What finally makes me open my eyes is when Brian's voice, along with his hand touches my skin, "Hey, you okay?"
"Peachy," I say, giving him a fake smile.
Brian looks at me, holding up his finger which causes me to look at it and follow it as he moves it. He checks out the cut on my forehead and presses on a few points on my body before saying, "You should be alright. When we get back, while patch you up," Brian says making me give him a genuine smile, "Thanks Brian."
With a simple nod, he disappears from the car door before Dom takes his place. His eyes look over me worriedly before he smiles slightly at the notice of my own smile.
"Hey, I love you," Dom says, lightly rubbing my cheek. "I love you too," I said, leaning over and giving him a kiss that he returns.
Pulling away, I take a deep breath before throwing my legs out of the car, stopping only to reach down and yank my heels off. As I do this, I release my dress is all torn up and half of my bra is showing off to the world.
There goes that dress.
Dom must have seen me notice as well because he took off his black suit jacket, draping it over me shoulders. I grabbed onto the car door, ready to pull myself up only to stop when I felt Dom's arms wrap themselves around my middle back and legs.
Suddenly, I'm lifted into the air, my head immediately falling to his chest as he carries me away from the small group to his car.
As requested, there were some more cute scenes between Dom and Emily, which I really enjoyed writing. There will probable be about 2-3 or so chapter left before this Part is done. I may put the book on hold for a bit before I start of Fate of The Furious 8.
Question: For Fate of the Furious 8, should I do Dom and Emily's POV since it's make more sense or just do Emily POV like I've been doing?
