Chapter 6

I know I said there would be 2-3 more chapters but I guess I didn't realize how much I had left so this is the last chapter for this Part. Enjoy!

Dom, Ramsey, Tej, Roman, Brian, and I all walked into the garage shop where Safar was working on some cars.

"Ah! There they are!" Safar said with wide arms, "Disaster, absolute disaster," Safar dropped his wide arms, looking at us with anger. "I'm sorry," Ramsey started to apologies to her old friend.

"I get you an invite to the most exclusive party in Abu Dhabi, you steal the host's car, and you jump it between two buildings."

"Actually, it was three buildings," Brian said, holding up three fingers.

"Man, I miss all the fun," I mumble to myself, wrapping my arms around Dom's jacket that hugs m

y body. Safar continued, "Oh! Two, insult. Three, honor. My bad."

I jumped slightly when Mr. Nobody's voice entered my ears. Turning slightly around, we spotted Mr. Nobody waking in with a wide smile, "Well, well, well. I have to say, you've got an interesting interpretation there of "low-key," Emily." I smiled, nodding slightly, "You know, Dom, I thought we had an understanding."

"Sometimes you have to play the hand you're dealt," Dom said, wrapping his arm around my waste lightly. "That's why I prefer to be the dealer," Mr. Nobody said before looking at Safar, "Good night."

Safar looked at Mr. Nobody shocked before setting down his crowbar, "I'm being kicked out of my own garage. This is great."

Mr. Nobody looked to Dom, "Uh, may I?" He asked, referring to the flash drive that Brian and Dom recovered from the car.

Dom motioned to Brian with his head, "Brian, give it to him." Brian looked over at Dom and me before sighing and reaching into his pocket, pulling out the drive and handing it to Mr. Nobody.

"All that trouble for this little thing. With all due respect, Dom, you really did great work back there. All of you. All of my men are now standing by and are fully at your disposal," Mr. Nobody said, handing the drive back over to Dom. It hung in the air for a minute, making Mr. Nobody continue, "Your call."

Dom took the drive before outstretching his hand to Ramsey, "Ramsey. Fire it up and find me Shaw." She takes the chip and walked over to a large set of computers and monitors.

Tej followed Ramsey, looking over the monitors with Roman following short behind, "Oh, damn, this is crazy," Tej said. "All right, give me a second," Ramsey said, typing away on her computer.

Dom's arm seemed to tighten around me, as if in anticipation.

"What is it doing now?" Roman asked, trying to understand what all was happening on the screens in front of him. "It's hunting, hacking into the security cameras at Etihad Towers. That's the last place you saw Shaw, so that's where we'll start."

We all watched the screens, trying to spot Decker, but Brian spotted him before any of us could. "That's him, right there," Brian said, pointing to the screen where Decker Shaw was revealed.

Tej shook his hand, "Wait, wait. What are these numbers right here for?" He asked, pointing to one of the screens.

"It's bio-mapping Shaw's face. It'll run it against every camera. Every audio device in this hemisphere. Bingo. Looks like he's moving around, probable trying to find a place to hold up for a bit," Ramsey said, turning around in her chair with a smile.

Mr. Nobody put a hand on her shoulder, "You just changed the face of manhunts forever. Congratulations."

Dom spoke up, grabbing everyone's attention, "Dawn's up in two hours. Get some rest, then we're heading out." Roman quickly threw up his hand, "Wait, wait, where are we going exactly? I mean Shaw hasn't settled yet."

"We're not going to wait for him to settle, we're going to get him to come to us, to our streets, where we can be one step ahead of him," Dom said, before walking away with me at his side.

Grabbing a change of clothes, I quickly took a shower before getting dressed.

"You should get some rest," Dom said, causing me to jump and turn around to find him wearing a black tank top and jeans. "So should you," I said, walking over to him and wrapping my arms around him.

Slowly, Dom ran his thumb over the patched up wound on my forehead. I flinched slightly, causing Dom to mumble an "I'm sorry" before sighing and sitting on the couch that sat by us.

I took the spot next to him, lying my head on his shoulder. "We'll stop him. We'll find him, and stop him before he hurts anyone else," I said, reassuring Dom who sighed but nodded before pulling me closer to him, letting me lay my head on him chest.

Before I knew it, my eyes drifted off and sleep overtook me.

I don't know how long I've been asleep, but when I woke up, I realized Dom was no longer by my side. Instead, I was stretched out on the couch, Dom's leather jacket draped over me like a blanket.

"Dom?" I asked looking around, only to find no sign of him. I sat his jacket to the side and walked out into the actual garage. No one.

Suddenly, Tej walked out, looking around as if he was looking for someone too. "Hey, where's Brian?" "I haven't seen him, or Dom," I said, looking around, stopping by Tej. Then it occurred to me where they were, "Oh my god."

I quickly turn around, running towards the door only to stop when the door swung open, revealing a dirty Brian and Dom. My feet quick came to a stop at the sight and a sigh of relief left my lips.

"You two are idiots," I said, making them stop and look at me, Dom already knowing what I was saying. Brian opened his mouth, starting to try and explain what happened, "Em, we just-"

"You just went off to find Decker Shaw. And by the looks of it, you found him and he fought back with bombs." Brian and Dom looked down at the ground in shame. "I thought we were doing this together? As a family?" I asked, eyeing Dom who still couldn't make eyes contact with me.

Shaking my head, I turned and started to walk away, "Tej, wake everyone up. We're moving out in five," I said, walking back into the room where I had fallen asleep. I slipped on a new black shirt before snatching up my keys and heading back out into the garage.

"Emily," Dom started, pulling his attention from the group, but I put my hand up and silenced him, "Let's move out!"

Before I stormed out, I heard Brian say to Dom, "Man, she is pissed at you."

I headed into my car and started it up before driving, not even bothering to wait for the gang to get into theirs. Yes, I may have overreacted, but I was pissed at Dom. I mean, he left all of us behind and just decided to team up with Brian and stop Decker Shaw himself. I know he's just trying to keep this quick and simple as possible, but let's make it quick and simple as a team. As a family.

My phone went off, revealing a text from Tej who told me Dom and Brian lost God's Eye to the man that Dom ran into on the mountain, Jakande.

Soon, we all arrived back into our home town in Los Angles. All piling out, and looking over the town, we stood in a line, trying to come up with a plain.

Roman, of course, had to voice his opinion. "I'm all for winging it, but this is crazy, man. We got mercenaries with some real heat on us. I mean, I ain't scared or nothing, but, man, I don't even have a gun!"

Dom smiled, crossing his arms, "Gun? We got a whole city."

Tej nodded, "And we may have more than that. If they use God's Eye, it'll tap the cameras around town to find our location. Which means we could plant a virus." Ramsey smiled, looking at Tej, "And then break in when they access it. So you're talking about hacking my hacking device. It's brilliant."

Sighing, Tej glanced at Ramsey, "Yeah, but there's one problem. The signal strength. We can't start a hack on them until they're within a two-mile range."

"That's really close," I said, my eyes still fixed on the city below us.

Roman scuffed, "Close? These guys are military. If they're within two miles of us, we're already dead. I don't know about y'all, but I didn't really plan on dying today."

Brian nodded, "Only one way to stay alive. We play keep-away with Ramsey," He says, looking at all of us.

Ramsey looked at Brian confused, "What?" "They can't hit us if we keep moving," Brian said, but before Ramsey could ask more questions, Dom spoke up, "And I'll take Shaw."

I looked at Dom, mouth parting but no words were able to get out. Dom took a few steps ahead, keeping his hands folded behind his back as he looked over the town.

"So, basically, we're just gearing up for a big game of hot potato, huh?" Tej said. I heard Ramsey and Roman talk a bit, but I ignored them and walked up to Dom, keeping my arms crossed over my chest.

"I'm sorry, for what happened back there. I was just mad, and confused," I said, but Dom didn't move or reply.

A small sigh left my lips as I looked at the ground, taking a step so I was just a bit in front of him, "Why does it feel like I'm not gonna see you again?" Dom looked at me, scanning my face before settling on my eyes. His eyes dropped, only as his hands reached up and undid his cross necklace, hooking it around my own neck which made my arms drop.

Lightly, my hand grabbed the necklace, admiring it like I did multiple times. This time, the necklace meant so much more than just a necklace, it was what resembled our marriage. Which made me more fearful of losing Dom.

"I'll come back for that," Dom said, making me look up at him, "Promise?" "Promise," Dom nodded, placing his hands on my waste.

My teeth bit my bottom lip before I quickly wrapped my arms around him, hugging him. "I love you," I whispered against his chest. I felt Dom take in a breath before his arms wrapped themselves around me.

Taking a breath, Dom and I pulled away before Dom said, "Alright, let's head out!"

Night came a lot quicker than any of us wanted it to, but we couldn't stop it from coming.

Brian, Roman, Dom, and I all had separate cars. Dom had driven off, making sure to grab as much attention as possible so God's Eye could pick up on him.

Brian led the way in a blue car with Ramsey, next was Tej and Roman in a silver car, and lastly was me in a black car, following shortly behind. We hadn't even been driving for 30 minutes when Tej came over the ear piece, "Guys, they're here."

"How many cars?" I asked? Tej sounded worried, "Uh, none. And that's kind of the problem." Brian came through the walky next, sounding more hopeful, "Okay, let's give them the tour. Break on my mark. Three, two, one. Go!"

Roman took a sharp right while I took a sharp left, looking in my rearview mirror to see a helicopter and drone following Brian.

"Ramsey, start the hack," Tej said, causing Ramsey to reply with, "Initiating, now." The radio went silent after that, leaving the car in an unbearable silence.

Once in a great while, I'd come across Brian, watching the helicopter keep a tale on him. I made a sharp turn, driving casually down the road as I tried to think of something else besides the crap that was going down around us.

God, I hope Dom is okay.

"Football's hot! I need to lateral! Rom, where are you?" Brian came over the walky in a panic. "Running back charging in!" Roman said, the sound of his car making a sharp turn heard through the walky. "Meet me on Third and Spring," Brian said, causing my foot to step on the gas petal harder, as if I was racing again.

"You got it," Roman said, then the walky went silent again.

I tried to focus on something else, like how the whole switcheroo was going. I could picture Ramsey freaking out before being forced out the window, jumping from Brian's car to Tej and Roman's car.

It then hit me that if Brian's car was truly on fire then his car would have blown up seconds later. I quickly snatched up the walky, "Tej, did Brian make it out of his car?"

"Yeah, he's good, but that drone is hot on our tale," Roman came over the walky.

A sigh left my lips as my hands gripped the steering wheel. This was falling apart quicker than even Roman had planned. I reached for my phone, pulling up a number before calling it. The phone rang a few times before the man answered.

"Hobbs, so, remember when you said you wanted us to take care of Decker Shaw? Well, we need back-up, and fast."

"Emily I'm a-" Hobbs started before the phone went dead. At first I was confused, until my eyes caught sight of the satellite building that was now crumbling to the ground.

"Great," I mumbled, throwing my phone into the passenger seat.

Roman's voice came through in a yelling, panicked voice, "Emily, the football's on fire! We need help!" "Hang on! I'm coming!" I quick say through the walky before making a sharp U-turn.

As I approached the area I figured Tej, Roman, and Ramsey to be, I was greeted with them jumping out of their car before it is exploded by the drone. I screeched my car to a stop, "Let's go, let's go!" I yelled, watching as Roman and Tej helped Ramsey into the car before we raced off, leaving the two friends behind.

"We've gotta get out of here. It's on your trail and its coming fast," Ramsey said.

"Got it," I said, making a sharp right turn, turning off my head lights, and making another sharp left. My car blended in with the darkness, hopefully knocking the drone off our tail for a minute.

Ramsey kept looking behind her, making sure the drone wasn't following. "So, if this car goes down, who's coming to save us?"

A scuff left my lips, "Save us? We're it," I said, glancing over to see a very worried and freaked out face. "But don't worry, I have a backup plan," I say to her, my head adding the "hopefully" part.

"It's coming back!" Ramsey yelled, causing me to curse before flipping my lights back on and making another sharp left, "We'll lose them in the tunnel." The tunnel came into view, giving me hope that we may actually make it out of this alive. Then the drone caught sight of my car and shot at it, causing the very back of it to catch the flames.

My car waves side to side, bumping into the wall or screeching against the stopped cars. As we pass a car, it's blown up by the drone that was still hot on our tail.

"I can't shake this thing!" I yelled into the walky.

I push onto the gas petal even more, breaking past a car and out into the open air. As the drone beaks through the tunnel, an ambulance crashes into it and flips onto it's back.

Screeching my car and turning it to the side, so I could get a good view of everything, Ramsey and I look in shock. A huge smile crosses my face at the sight of Hobbs breaking the glass and climbing out before standing tall and strong.

"You called?" Hobbs nods to me, making me smile, "Did you bring the cavalry?" Hobbs gives me a straight look, "Woman, I am the cavalry." Shaking my head with a laugh, I said, "Of course you are."

Turning, Hobbs grabs the gun that was hooked to the drone, picking it up before walking away with it.

Brian came over the walky, finally bringing some good news. "The signal is back up, Ramsey, you're good to go."

Ramsey smiled as she typed away on her computer, "Brian did it. We're back in! We've got God's Eye back."

A smile returned to my face before I kicked the car into drive and raced off to follow Hobbs, finding him down the road a bit, firing at the helicopter that was trying to fir, and kill, Dom who stood on the roof of a parking garage.

Suddenly, the helicopter turned, trying to block some of the fire from Hobbs, only to lay down fire around my car. I swerve my car, trying to block as many bullets as possible, only for it to crash into another car and stop working.

I turned my key, yet nothing would happen.

"Duck!" I yelled, pushing Ramsey down onto the floor as bullets flew through the car's roof and down on us, just missing us as we hid on the floor. My hand reached up, grabbing the walky, and yelling into it, "I need some help over here! We're getting nailed! I need some backup!"

Suddenly, the firing stopped. Slowly Ramsey and I poked our heads up, noticing the helicopter was now facing towards the parking garage, firing at the floors which started to crumble around a car that was racing through.

"Dom," I whispered to myself before quickly climbing out of the car, standing to my feet and watching in horror as Dom's car busted through the cement, flying high up into the air. It headed for the helicopter, but instead of hitting it straight on, it just grazed it.

Dom's car went head first into the piles of broken cement. "Dom!" I yelled, watching as his car flipped a few times before settling on its back.

My feet couldn't move fast enough as I ran over, watching as Hobbs got to the car first, moving some of the cement to the side before dragging Dom out with the help of Brian.

Tears fell down my face as I knelt down beside Dom's unconscious body. "Is he breathing?" I asked, looking at Brian who was moving Dom's body a bit. "I want you to keep his head tilted up, all right? Keep it back like this." I grabbed Dom's head, lifting it slightly.

"Pinch his nose, keep his head tilted. Breathe into him. Now, go," Brian said as he pressed onto his chest, giving him CPR. I pinched Dom's nose, breathing into his mouth.

I expected Dom to surprise me and kiss me, stand up, and say he was fine. But he didn't.

"Come on, Dom. Come on, Dom. Come on! God damn it! You come on! You breathe!" Brian yelled as he pounded on Dom's chest. "Go, go! Breathe," Brian gestures to me, causing me to breath into his mouth again. Nothing. The tears couldn't stop rolling down my cheek as I looked at Dom's lifeless body. It wasn't helping that Brian was screaming at Dom to wake up, as if he was already dead and he was trying to bring him back to life.

"Come on, Dom, I need you to breathe. Come on! Come back! Come on, buddy."

My hand reached up, waving it as I shook my head, "Stop, stop it."

Brian ignored me, still pounding onto his chest, "Dom, come on! Come on!" "Back off!" I yelled, trying to push Brian away, but he yelled at me, fighting me, "Will you stop? Breathe into him."

"Back off! Back off!" I yelled continuously until Brian stumbled back, regaining his stance as he watched me cry, "Please," I begged. I adjusted myself and laid Dom's head onto my lap. "Dom, baby, I know you're hurting right now. But I want you to listen to me. Stay awake and focus on me, focus on my voice. You promised me, you'd come back to me. You promised me," I said through the tears, grabbing onto Dom's hand. "The night of our wedding, I said that if you ride, I ride," I started, my attention focused on Dom, but knew that everyone probable looked at me surprised. "If you fight, I fight, and if you ever die on me, Dominic Toretto, I'm gonna die with you. If you die, I die, that was the promise. And I'm not ready to leave this place yet. This moment is still ours, and you can't leave me here alone. Promise me, please."

"I promise," Dom breathed out, causing my mouth to drop as I fully looked at Dom, seeing his eyes open and looking at me with sadness. But there was another emotion, love.

Everyone let out a sigh of relief as I pulled Dom close to my chest, breathing into his ear, "Stop doing that to me." Dom lightly pulled back, meeting my eyes as he breathed out, "Okay, but only because I love you."

I leaned down and kissed Dom's lips, pulling him closer to me, feeling his hand squeeze mine as everyone ran over to us with happy and disbelief faces.

Soon after that, Hobbs found and locked up Decker Shaw, not wasting any caution on him. Dom was alive, healthy, and happy. Roman, Tej, and Ramsey all went off to do their own things, still calling each other to see if the other had stolen Ramsey yet.

Dom and I went to visit Brian, Mia, and Jack before we left. Right now, Mia was hugging Dom goodbye while I was hugging Brian, "It looks like we'll really have to start calling you Mrs. Toretto."

A laugh left my lips before I nodded, looking behind him to see Jack playing with some toys on the front deck floor. "Promise me something Brian," I said, focusing my attention back on him before he nodded, "Anything." "Promise me the next time, you have to choose between the bullets and this family, you choose them."

Brian looked at me surprised before smiling and nodding, "I promise."

Giving Brian a tight squeeze on the shoulder, I made my way to Dom's black Dodge Charger. My phone went off in my pocket, causing me to pull it out to see a text message from Gisele. Two words, two words that put me at ease.

"I'm okay"

A sigh of relief left my lips before I climbed into Dom's car, waiting for him before we drove off, heading down the road.

"You proposed, we got married, you almost die, and yet you're still keeping secrets. Where are we going Dom?" I asked, for what felt like the millionth time. All Dom had told me was to grab my back, that was already packed, and get in the car. The next thing I know, we're saying goodbye to Brian and Mia, who seemed to know where we were going yet said nothing, and now we're on the road again.

Dom smiled, letting out a soft, small chuckle, before looking over at me in the passenger seat, "To have a real Honeymoon."

A lot happened in this Part but I'm so excited to right Fate of The Furious 8!!! The minute I watched the movie I was already planing stuff lol I'll be taking a little break to hopefully get a good start on the next Part in case I have to work.

Please comment what you thought!

Note For Next Part: I'll be switching point of views between Dom and Emily. Why Dom is doing what he's doing will be different then the movie which means some things will change. Brian may pop up now and then on the next Part, I haven't decided yet. Hope you like!
