Chapter 29: Injured
"Cut Cut....!!! Well done, well done everyone!!"
Director Wanwan shouted happily. The most important action scenes of this field trip had been filmed.
The sharp pain on her shoulder made Faye sweat and feel dizzy. She had been feeling unwell since the scene where she was pushed against the bookshelf, but she did not want to affect the filming progress so she still tried to finish the remaining scenes. When Wanwan said cut, ending this take, Faye staggered and collapsed to the ground.
"Faye... Faye!!" Everyone around saw her suddenly fall and rushed over.
Yoko was sitting nearby, wiping the fake blood off herself, when she heard people shouting Faye's name. She also ran over worriedly, and saw Faye frowning in pain. Yoko immediately squeezed in and sat next to Faye, holding her hand.
What's wrong?
"My shoulder hurts." Faye whispered, sweat pouring down her face.
Yoko carefully looked at Faye's shoulder, and saw that behind the layers of clothing, there was a large bruise.
"Sister Wan, Sister Faye's shoulder is injured." Yoko was extremely worried, supporting Faye while saying to Wanwan.
Wanwan also ran over, seeing this, she knew something was wrong, asked everyone to move aside and sent someone to take Faye to the hospital. The scene just now had Faye being slapped and pushed against the bookshelf, even though it was all carefully prepared with props, but perhaps in order to act as realistically as possible, Faye acted more violently and injured her shoulder. Right now, Faye couldn't flex her arms freely, she had to maintain the same position.
The actor who played White and Paul also worriedly came to ask her, she just smiled and said everything was fine to reassure everyone.
Minhan took the responsibility of taking Faye to the hospital. Yoko was usually obedient, but this time she insisted on following Faye and refused to stay to film her other scenes. Even though Faye was in a lot of pain, she still had to coax her stubborn little girl to let her finish filming and come to Faye when she was done.
"Yoo, be good. I'm fine, stay with Wanwan."
Yoko's eyes were filled with tears, but she looked at Faye who was sweating from pain and was still patiently comforting her. Yoko nodded sadly.
"I'll come to you as soon as I'm done."
Faye patted Yoko on the head and left.
The scenes in the forest that the crew had been filming for the past few days were almost the last outdoor scenes. The entire massive forest camp scene had been built and prepared by Galaxy a month ago. Originally, they had only planned to go on a 6-day trip to the south, but after finishing the scenes in the southern cities, the construction was also completed ahead of schedule, so the crew decided to stay longer and continue filming to finish the outdoor scenes before returning to the big city. Therefore, from the time they started going south until now, the whole crew had been gone for more than half a month.
The forest where the film crew is filming is actually part of a large resort owned by the Galaxy Group. The resort has not yet fully exploited its land, so there is still space for a studio, and the actors are staying right in the resort. After filming is completed, the studio will be converted into a tourist area of the resort.
During the whole time, Faye and Yoko were always together like two peas in a pod. The scenes filmed in this camp really challenged the acting ability of both of them, especially Faye. Faye's acting and demeanor made everyone in the crew admire her. Because of the time Dana was imprisoned in this base, Faye had to act out the image of a gangster, arrogant and reckless. It was not easy, but it was not difficult for Faye.
Not to mention Faye, even Yoko's acting has made great progress, her dedication in her performances has been greatly encouraged by a demanding director like Wanwan. The little girl's acting is getting better and better.
Min took Faye to the hospital and was ordered an MRI. After the results came back, fortunately, the doctor said Faye only had a mild shoulder dislocation and soft tissue injury. The orthopedic doctor adjusted it and asked her to limit movement or difficult movements involving her arms and shoulders.
Before Yoko could go to the hospital with Faye, Faye had already returned to her own room at the resort. The rest of the day's schedule was postponed to let Faye rest. After lying comfortably on the bed, ignoring the pain in her shoulder, Faye breathed a sigh of relief and relaxed for a while. Although she was injured, it was nothing compared to the rushed filming schedule of the past time. Not to mention that the movie was reaching its climax, the scenes were all difficult and required high concentration, all this time Faye was so absorbed in her role that she couldn't think of anything else.
Lost in thought, Faye Peraya fell asleep without realizing it. In her dream, she seemed to have entered the world of The Journey, wearing a tight leather outfit, sitting in the center like a queen, imprisoned in that camp and unable to escape.
"Sis.." Yoko touched Faye's forehead. She came a long time ago and saw that Faye was not sleeping well so Yoko decided to wake her up.
"Yoko... you are here." Faye wanted to rub against her partner, but her shoulder hurt a bit so she could only lie still.
As if understanding her, Yoko walked over to her uninjured shoulder and lay down beside her, gently leaning on Faye's shoulder. Unlike her usual cheerful and talkative self, she just quietly lay next to her, holding Faye's hand and fondling it.
Faye laughed at her silence: "Why aren't you saying anything? You usually talk a lot."
Yoko rubbed Faye's shoulder and said sadly, "What did the doctor say?"
"My shoulder was slightly dislocated but it has been fixed, and it will probably be bruised for a long time. I can only do light exercise..." Faye looked down at Yoko, seeing her red eyes: "... I am a patient, I don't have enough hands to wipe your tears."
Her sentimental little girl.
It was very common for acting to get so involved that it led to problems on set, so both Faye and Yoko understood that this was not anyone's fault. Yoko just felt sorry for Faye because she was injured. Just like the time Faye felt sorry for Yoko on that game show.
"Can I see your wound?" Yoko sat up and looked at Faye.
The little girl was really worried, if she didn't show it, she would definitely cry even more. Faye laughed and shook her head: "Silly girl."
Faye still sat up, then turned her back to Yoko. Since she was wearing a shirt, Faye began to unbutton it. The white shirt fell down and was held by Faye around her waist. Her normally white and flawless shoulders now had a purple-red mark extending from her shoulder blades down to the middle of her back. Yoko looked at Faye's wound and felt her heart ache, her eyes welling up with tears. Faye had hit her back so hard on the ground that even though she was wearing a bra at the time, her shoulders were still swollen and purple.
Faye pulled her shirt to cover her chest, turned around and saw that the girl's eyes were red again. Faye raised her hand and tapped her forehead lightly.
"Why sulking?"
"I'm not sulking." Yoko shook her head.
Faye smiled, pinching her pouting cheeks: "Why is your face so upset?"
"You are hurt so I am uncomfortable."
Yoko is very obedient, but sometimes she is stubborn and difficult to please.
To distract Yoko, Faye pointed to the medicine bag on the table: "There's ointment in there to reduce swelling, apply it on me."
Go over and get the medicine bag then come back, Yoko asked carefully what kind of medicine to apply then washed her hands clean before starting.
Faye also smiled at her thoroughness, she gently lay face down on the bed so Yoko could apply the medicine, her shirt also completely removed. Faye's bare back appeared before Yoko, afraid that she would be cold, she pulled the blanket up to cover Faye from the waist down. The bruise-reducing medicine was a cool ointment, Yoko applied the medicine to her hand and then gently touched Faye's shoulder.
'Have I ever touched her this close?' Yoko thought to herself .
Because Yoko was afraid Faye would be in pain, she applied the medicine so lightly that it made Faye laugh.
"Yoo..Tickles me."
Yoko tried not to tickle Faye, she applied the medicine faster. After finishing applying the medicine, Faye still lay on her stomach for a while to wait for the medicine to absorb before putting on her shirt. Yoko also lay on her stomach right next to her, looking at Faye.
"Can I sleep with you tonight?" Ever since they finished living together and started filming again, they were no longer able to share a room together. This made Yoko very disappointed, she just wanted to be with Faye all the time.
Faye kept her eyes closed and said casually, "Just sleep, don't kiss me. I'm in pain."
Yoko was stunned. She didn't expect Faye to bring it up now. She thought Faye would bury it deep in her heart.
'Don't kiss me'
Is this an affirmative answer?
Yoko suddenly didn't know what to do next. Looking at the beautiful girl she loved and admired lying with her eyes closed right in front of her, Yoko was in turmoil but didn't know what to do. She had always been a person who loved and hated things clearly and didn't hide anything in her heart. If she liked something, she would definitely pursue it. But right now, she was afraid that if she crossed the ambiguous line between her and Faye, what she would receive in return would be an obvious rejection from Faye.
Would Yoko still be able to stay close to Faye like this by then? Or would Faye build a higher wall around herself?
Yoko had to work hard to gradually climb over the wall surrounding Faye. The wound in her heart was gradually healed because of Faye's appearance. Yoko was afraid that everything would fall apart if she crossed the line again.
Yoko was thinking too much and was swallowed up by those thoughts.
Suddenly seeing Yoko silent, Faye suddenly remembered that she had said something she shouldn't have. Faye heavily opened her eyes to look at her little sister, the little girl was lying right next to her, her eyes were blank. Faye pulled the blanket to cover her chest, reached out to stroke her head to comfort her.
"Don't think too much, okay? When I get better, I'm ready to listen if you have anything to say." Her little girl thought too much and kept it to herself.
Looking at Faye's tired eyes but still thinking about her mood, Yoko blamed herself in her heart. What was she thinking? Faye was so tired and injured. She should have gotten rid of all those random thoughts.
"The medicine is working, put on your shirt." Holding Faye's hand, Yoko obediently reminded Faye and then handed her the shirt. She still looked away while Faye put on her shirt. Yoko really wanted to help Faye put on her shirt, but she was afraid of seeing something that would make her blush, so she couldn't turn around to look.
When she turned around, she saw that Faye had fallen asleep again. She must have been very tired. Yoko covered Faye with a blanket, then quietly lay beside her and watched her sleep.
