Story 4: Encounter the Past 4

Part 4. 2023

As soon as she realized Yoko wasn't there, Faye immediately turned around and told Wanwan to postpone the casting and give her a few days, she would find A Nueng for Blank the Series. Then Faye ran off and headed straight to S University.

In 2023, Yoko Apasra is in her third year of studying communications at S University. She took a year off so she was behind her friends, otherwise she would have been in her final year and about to graduate. This is the information so that Faye could use it to find her.

8 years, a lot has definitely happened in the past 8 years.

Just arrived at university, Faye attracted a lot of attention because of her appearance. Luckily this year is 2023, Blank has not happened yet and Faye is not as famous as 2024. Otherwise, it would be really difficult for her to move around freely like that.

Going straight to the school's communications department, Faye quickly grabbed a group of students and asked

"Hello, may I ask if Yoko Apasra, a third-year student in the Faculty of Communications, is here?"

The students were also very polite and chatted with Faye.

"There is no Yoko Apasra in the Faculty of Communication..."

The answer from her friends stunned Faye. But the next sentence shocked her even more.

"...But in my final year of Law, there is a girl named Yoko Apasra. Are you sure you are in the right department?"

Faculty of Law, final year?!

Faye thanked her and quickly left.

So the past was changed by her. Yoko didn't have to take a year off from school, nor did she choose the Media major she wanted. Law? Law was the career her father wanted her to pursue.

Do you want to become a lawyer and give up acting?

Faye felt cold all over. Her sixth sense told her that this time it wouldn't be so easy to handle. Yoko studied Law, so she didn't come to Blank's casting. Faye was extremely worried about Blank's future and theirs.

Furthermore, if Yoko's memories of 2024 still haven't returned, it's even worse. Yoko Apasra is the girl who met Faye Peraya at the age of 14, liked Faye, was rejected, misunderstood, and had to part in a very terrible and haunting situation. It all seemed like it had just happened to Faye. But for Yoko, 8 years had already passed.

Faye was thinking about the worst possible scenarios, a feeling of helplessness invaded her body, she was really afraid that this time she would lose Yoko.

Running to the Faculty of Law, Faye entered the Faculty's main hall. There were many tables and chairs arranged in clusters, where students often gathered to meet in groups or chat. It was almost 5 o'clock and the afternoon class was about to end, so there were many students gathered. Faye had to ask around many people to get here.

Looking at the long table at the end of the hall, Yoko Apasra was sitting and chatting with her friends. Faye Peraya let out a sigh of relief, then her eyes stung, her heart ached. She had grown up, Yoko's appearance had not changed at all compared to the first time she saw her when casting for the TV Series Blank. Even her clothes were the same, still a short skirt, a white shirt and a thin red jacket on the outside, her hair was loose and pulled to one side, her bright face was happily chatting with her friends.

As if history were repeating itself, in the middle of the crowded hall of students, Faye slowly walked towards Yoko.

If in 2015, no one saw Faye, now Faye is very famous and extremely beautiful, even though she only dresses simply with black clothes, denim jacket, loose hair and sunglasses, but with her appearance and height, Faye always attracts all eyes every time she appears.

"Who is that beauty?"

"Oh, who is that? So beautiful." A friend suddenly looked into the distance and exclaimed, making Yoko also confusedly raise her head to look.

Faye Peraya is smiling her most beautiful smile and looking straight at Yoko Apasra

Faye walked closer and closer.

"Hello, Yoko," Faye held back her emotions, trying not to hug her but just stood still and greeted her.

All the students around Yoko and her friends were eavesdropping and looking at Yoko. It was no wonder that the students, the extremely beautiful woman suddenly appeared and talked to the goddess of their law school, how could they not look?

"Who...are you?" Yoko's eyes darkened.

Who are you? Doesn't she recognize me?

Faye felt like she was dropped into a cold pond.

Even so, Faye still tried to stay calm. She politely turned to look at Yoko's friends and said with a slight smile, "Can I borrow Yoko for a bit?"

As expected of good friends, as soon as they heard the beauty say that, all of them stood up at the same time. Some of them even smiled and patted Yoko on the shoulder, then they all left to sit at another table nearby to watch. Yoko's eyes drooped, she picked up her pen and focused on the book in front of her, the smile she had just given her friends had long since disappeared. In a corner where no one could see, her other hand under the table was clutching her thigh.

Faye sat down across from her, her heart pounding and aching.

"You recognize me, right?"

Yoko raised her eyebrows and looked at Faye, her eyes emotionless. This was completely the cold reaction that should not have come from two people meeting for the first time. Yoko must have recognized Faye.

"You are dead."

Her voice was cold, emotionless. Yoko glanced at Faye, then stood up and gathered her things into her bag.

"I said I would come back for you, I'm back." Faye held Yoko's hand with red eyes, not letting her leave.

"Faye Peraya Malisorn, a famous beauty queen and actress. What is someone like you looking for me for?" Yoko said in a low voice, struggling out of Faye's hand and taking her bag, she left.

She knows, she already knows my real name?

"Yoko, Yoko! Can you calm down and listen to my explanation? .... Yoo.." Faye immediately followed behind her. It was already 2023, much closer to the present, 2024. Yoko was no longer a 14-year-old girl, Faye had to follow her and explain everything clearly.

Yoko's friends, watching Yoko leave and the beautiful woman holding her hand, these two people were no different from a couple in love and anger, not two strangers. The whole group of friends opened their mouths in surprise.

Yoko Apasra has never had a lover, has never agreed to date anyone, neither boys nor girls. And with anyone, Yoko is very cheerful and easygoing, not cold like that. This beautiful older sister seems to be an actress and model. But how did she know Yoko? Even though she is Yoko's best friend, it is the first time she sees anyone beside Yoko.

Faye chased Yoko and went into a deserted hallway.

"Yoo." Faye felt heartbroken, looking at her wearing the same outfit she had worn the first time Faye met her, still the same eyes, the same person, but she didn't smile happily or hesitate to hug Faye like she used to.

Yoko stopped, took a deep breath, and turned to look at Faye.

"Okay, you want to talk? Then say it."

Yoko still hasn't regained her memories of 2024. The person standing in front of Faye right now is the 14-year-old Yoko from that year, haunted by a future spirit for several months, and then parted in a heartbreakingly haunting situation.

Her eyes are so sad

"All this time... have you been okay?" Faye asked a question that even she herself felt was meaningless. But it expressed all her thoughts at the moment.

Are you okay? How did you get back to the dormitory that night after I disappeared? How did you live the days after that without me? Have you gradually forgotten me over the past eight years?

Yoko looked at the person standing in front of her, her beauty was so unreal. Suddenly appearing again on a beautiful day, as if what happened was just a blink of her eye. For the past eight years, Yoko had been the only one to endure, the only one to bear the burden of growing up and getting through each day.

"Do you know, I had to see a psychiatrist, spend a lot of time convincing myself that you were just a hallucination, an imaginary friend that 14-year-old Yoko came up with because she was so lonely in New Zealand."

Faye shook her head, her eyes filled with pain: "Yo, I just returned to this space-time. If I had come back earlier, I would have come looking for you."

"Looking for me? Looking for me for what, why don't you continue living your glamorous life? Beauty queen Faye Peraya Malisorn" Yoko said harshly. She was no longer the 14 year old child who listened to everything this person said.

"You... came to find me?"

Yoko laughed: "I thought I was crazy when I imagined you. Until the day I saw you on TV..."

"..." Why did you come to see her at that time?

At that time, Faye certainly did not know who Yoko was. Faye at that time, was a very cold and indifferent person.

"I stupidly came back to find you... and you walked right past me."

"Yo, it wasn't me then, it's me now. It's your Mali."

Yoko smiled sadly, she looked straight into Faye's eyes, her eyes were red but she still firmly held back her tears from falling.

"My Mali died that Christmas night. The person you need is Yoko from 2024, go find her. I don't act anymore, nor do any artistic activities anymore. Don't look for me.."

"No, it's always you, it's always me, it's just a different time. When I went back in time, my actions were wrong, it affected your past and changed the present. But now that I'm back, it's 2023, we're really on the right track..." Faye tried to explain with what she understood.

But Yoko didn't want to listen anymore, she interrupted in frustration:

"Have you ever thought about it, you didn't go back to the past or change anything. You were just bored with your world so you jumped into mine and messed it up. And your world... Your...Yoko, is in another world..." Yoko said bluntly: "You and I, never had a future together."

Faye, stunned to the point of not knowing what to say or how to respond.

Yoko was too tired, she softened her voice and didn't want to argue anymore: "Do you remember what you made me promise you before leaving?"

Faye took her hand: "Everything I told you is true. Everything I want you to remember is for your own good."

"Want the best for me?" Yoko heard that and laughed again, struggling out of Faye's hand.

"You made me promise you that if I love someone, if they hurt me, I have to let go immediately. You made me promise not to give them a chance, not to give them time or regret. That I have to protect myself well, not to let anyone hurt me."

"But you probably didn't expect it, right? The only person who hurt me the most was you. There was no one else, it was always you. I gave you chances, time, and everything, but you never showed up. Where have you been for the past eight years?"

"You said you would go back in time so I could live a happier life. Mali, I'm not happy, I'm not happy either... Do you know that?"

Yoko clenched her fists, looked at Faye sadly again, then walked past her.

Yoko's every word was like a knife stabbing into Faye's heart.

You and I have no future together.

I'm not happy, you know that?

....

"Yoko, is that pretty girl just now a celebrity?"

Yoko returned to her friends to say goodbye and leave. Immediately, her friends gathered around and asked her

Can't blame them, Yoko has never dated anyone before, even though she had many suitors since her first year, they couldn't sway her. Sometimes her friends even thought she was asexual.

Another close friend of Yoko's chimed in: "She looks familiar. I think I've seen her picture in your wallet before, right?"

The rest of the friends heard and immediately exclaimed, but Yoko just shook her head, said goodbye to everyone and left.

That year after Faye disappeared, Yoko was truly broken for a long time, both literally and figuratively. A girl who had never experienced anything sad, suddenly faced such a terrible ordeal. Yoko had sleepless nights, afraid that if she slept, Mali would appear and disappear in the night. She even had a fear of blood for a long time because of the haunting image of Faye's accident.

Yoko once cut her long hair short because of depression. Her parents were so worried that they took her back to Thailand when she was in 11th grade. Here Yoko had to see a psychologist for a while, convincing herself that the girl was just a figment of her imagination. At least the feeling that she was just a figment of her imagination was easier to bear and less painful than the thought that she was dead.

Yoko is afraid Faye's really gone.

She was so scared that She didn't dare believe in her promise that she would appear again. But even so, all that time Yoko kept a fragile hope and waited, one year, then two years, then three years. It wasn't until Yoko Apasra was about to go to university, when She was wondering what major to choose, that she saw Faye Peraya on TV.

So that's her name, Faye Peraya Malisorn, what a beautiful name.

It turns out, she is real, she has always been beautiful and famous, and is also a beauty queen. All of which is very suitable for her complete talent.

But if you were there, broadcasting live on the TV screen and letting me see it, why didn't you show up?

Why don't you come find me?

With her young and wounded heart, Yoko Apasra carried the faintest hope to find Faye Peraya, she just hoped to say hello. She just hoped to ask her if she was her Mali? If not, then who knows when her Mali will return?

But facing a Yoko who had stood in front of the MGI building waiting for Faye Peraya for five hours, was a Faye of youth, of wildness and recklessness.

Faye walked out of the MGI building with a bunch of beauties, holding hands, one arm around the other girls' waists, laughing and talking. No one paid any attention to little Yoko Apasra standing there.

Faye Peraya walks past Yoko Apasra

Two people, just two strangers, nothing more, nothing less.

That was also the reason why Yoko gave up acting and studied law. Because of that, even though she knew the audition date for Blank, she didn't want to participate. She was afraid that if she experienced the feeling of being treated as a stranger by Mali again, she would go crazy.

Yoko tiredly returned to her apartment. That person had really appeared today, but Yoko didn't know how to handle it. Her heart was filled with bitter and heartbreaking words, and none of the words she said were calm or sincere.

As soon as she entered the apartment, Yoko absentmindedly dropped all her bags on the chair, grabbed her wallet and walked into a small bedroom. As soon as she entered the room, Yoko turned on the light. She opened her wallet, took out a small picture from the wallet, went to the wall and pinned it to the wall.

Her friend was right, Yoko had a small picture in her wallet, it was a picture of Faye Peraya. But that wasn't all, Yoko looked around the room, tears slowly falling like rain. She sat down on the floor and stared at it.

All over the walls, there are pictures of Faye Peraya Malisorn, from postcards, posters, magazine images, or even everyday pictures printed from the internet. All, covered all over the walls, are pictures of Faye.

Yoko was so haunted by Faye that it was a secret she could never tell anyone. Yoko wanted to forget her Mali, but she could never forget a single moment of her existence.

In the middle of the wall right in front of her, there was a photo that was smaller and fainter than all of them, but it was the most important one. It was a photo taken in a photo booth of Yoko when she was 14 years old and her Mali. But Mali's image had long since disappeared, leaving only Yoko Apasra alone in the photo.

There is always only you left in this life.

"I saw you just now, but I couldn't say it out loud."

"Hello Mali, welcome back."

"I have waited for you for the past eight years."

"I know you don't like it, so I won't get involved in any relationship."

"I miss you."

"I miss you, my Mali"

....

Yoko's words seriously affected Faye's thinking, causing her to immediately lose direction, not knowing what to do next, how to behave. The TV series Blank, the relationship between her and Yoko, the memories of the time they knew each other in 2024 were still in Faye's mind, everything was like a mess, not knowing how to handle it.

But most of all, it was Yoko's disappointed eyes, the smile that had disappeared from her lips, that was what hurt Faye the most. What had she done, she had changed the past and made it so messy. Faye said she wanted Yoko to be happy but she lied and couldn't do anything. She was the one who had disappeared the smile from Yoko's lips, chased away the smile in her eyes.

The past should not be changed, should not, should not return at all.

Sitting on a bench in the square, Faye sat silently for several hours.

"Why are you still sitting here?"

Suddenly, a girl came and sat next to Faye and said something like that.

Faye frowned and turned to look, but when she saw the girl's face and eyes, Faye was extremely scared.

That girl was the MC at the fansign that day in 2024. Her appearance was still the same, her outfit was still the same compared to that night, but her eyes were different, eyes like the starry night sky, black and without whites.

'She' looked at Faye and smiled.

Faye suddenly understood, this was 'God'

"You guessed right." The person didn't say anything, but Faye heard the sound clearly in her ears.

" Why did you do that?" Suppressing the panic in her heart, Faye stood up and looked straight at God.

"You want it. I have already given you everything, but you want it, right?"

Faye wants to go back to when Yoko was 14 years old, that was the question during the fansign that day.

"Can you take me back? Please, let me go back to when Yoko was 14 again, I need to fix everything." Faye sat back down on the chair, grabbed the 'Female MC's' sleeve, her eyes pleading.

In return, She just smiled, her eyes as black as the stars in the sky sparkling.

"Don't beg for nothing, your turn is up."

My turn?

Hearing this, Faye's hands and feet turned cold. She had returned to the past, so what was left was... Yoko?

"Yoko will go back to when I was 22?" This was what Yoko wished for that day: "No, you can't do that. She doesn't have the memories of 2024, she can't face 22-year-old Faye!!"

"Haha, so what are you still doing here?" The god smiled jokingly, with such a level, in her eyes everything was just a game, a thought of the day: "At 12 o'clock tonight, that pretty girl will get her wish."

"No... no..." Faye was horrified, looking at her watch, it was already 11:15, only 45 minutes left to find Yoko before she 'left'

"What if she's like me and mixes everything up?" Faye frowned.

The other person did not reply, but just snapped her fingers, indicating that everything had disappeared.

"No... that can't be." Faye stood up in fear, nodded, and immediately ran away.

Faye has to tell Yoko everything she needs to know first. Otherwise Yoko won't be able to control 22-year-old Faye.

Faye that year was a cold, arrogant, wild person who had experienced many injuries. The dark feelings that Faye brought were much more difficult than 14-year-old Yoko. She wouldn't be able to bear it.

....

Yoko was lying tiredly on the bed when she heard the doorbell. It was almost midnight so she was surprised and didn't know who was knocking on the door at this hour. She slowly walked out to the living room and looked through the peephole to see that the person knocking on the door was Faye. Yoko frowned.

"I know you're in there. Yoko, it's very important, open the door for me." Faye shouted, still banging on the door. It was only a few minutes before midnight, she couldn't help but feel anxious.

Seeing Yoko still hesitating to open the door, Faye resolutely tried to press the lock to open the door.

Seeing the door open, Yoko was shocked: "How did you know my house password?"

"Your password is base on your and my birthday together, it has never changed, don't you recognize it?" Faye said then quickly grabbed Yoko's hand and wanted to pull her into the living room.

But Yoko struggled out of her hand, she was very upset: "I don't want to talk to you right now, you go home."

"Yoko!" Faye shouted.

Just one harsh word from Faye immediately made Yoko feel wronged to the point of tears.

"You yelled at me... you actually yelled at me... You came here in the middle of the night just to yell at me like that, right? You're too much..." Yoko was also angry.

But before Yoko could finish her sentence, someone pushed her against the wall, one hand grabbed her hand tightly, the other grabbed her face. Before Yoko could react, Faye kissed her, Faye kissed very violently, very possessively and did not give Yoko any time or other thoughts. Yoko suddenly made a sound, Faye also took the opportunity to wrap her tongue around, sucking and trampling. Faye kissed so deeply that Yoko almost couldn't breathe.

"Faye..." Yoko sang out at the first chance she got, but Faye kissed her and wouldn't let go.

Faye stopped her forced kiss by sucking on her lips again, but she still refused to leave and held her tightly in her arms.

"You have no idea how much I wanted to hold you." Faye whispered, looking into her eyes.

"Why..." Yoko whispered, her eyes filled with tears, about to fall.

Then Faye gently kissed Yoko again. This time, not possessive and forceful like before, but gently, tenderly kissing her, nibbling her lips, entwining with her tongue, so precious, so sweet. Holding her with both arms, hugging her tightly. Yoko also reached out to hug Faye's neck, the two of them kissed deeply and for a long time.

After a while, Faye left, looking at Yoko with loving eyes.

"Calm down and listen to me, okay?"

"..Um." Yoko, despite her blushing face, still nodded slightly.

"In 2024, you and I participated in a fansign program. The MC asked us both which moment of each other we wanted to see again the most.."

"You said you wanted to meet me when I was 14," Yoko continued.

"That's right, I said I wanted to meet you when you was 14..." Faye caressed Yoko's face: "And I met you, fell in love with you the way we were meant to be. As for you, you wanted to meet me when I was 22..."

Yoko opened her eyes wide, this part she didn't know before because Faye was blocked when talking about the future, she wanted to meet Faye at 22 years old?

"Yoko, the one who brought me here, told me that I can't go back to the past again. Everyone only gets one chance, this time it's you. You will have to go back to the past and meet Faye at 22..." Faye tried to speak quickly for her to understand, she was afraid that she would have to leave at any moment.

"Meeting you at 22? But I don't know what you were like back then, I don't have any memories of 2024, I don't know why I want to go back to when you were 22." Yoko started to worry, she wasn't Faye, Faye understood 14 year old Yoko, but she didn't understand anything about Faye's past.

"Don't care about how I was back then. Yoko, I messed up your childhood, changed the past, and almost caused us to lose each other. So You don't need to care about Faye at 22, okay?" Faye had thought very carefully before coming here.

Yoko immediately shook her head, how could she not care about Faye?

"Yoko, Faye is 22 years old, just broke up with her girlfriend of five years, her family just passed away and Faye herself is about to be crowned Miss. I was a reckless, wild person, my emotions were hard to grasp and I was even cruel if I wanted to..." Faye looked deep into her eyes: "Yoko, you have to leave me alone. Just stay somewhere until you return to the present. Don't change the past. I will be fine, I will slowly get better, no matter how difficult it is, I will overcome it. Just leave me alone, okay?"

Yoko's tears fell, how could Yoko ignore her: "I..."

But before the two could say anything more, the surrounding scenery began to change, from afar, the lights were gradually fading away.

Faye knew that the time was coming, she was about to disappear and Yoko had to return to her past.

"In this world, only I still have the memories of 2024. If you change the past, 2024 will not come. Yoko, that was the time when we were together, please, just leave Faye alone at 22 years old, okay? No matter how difficult it is, Faye will be fine, then Faye will live well and join Blank, then Faye will meet you again. We will be together.."

Yoko held Faye's hand tightly, the lights from afar gradually turned off, where the lights turned off, the scene also began to fade away.

Faye hugged Yoko: "There is a party, you will know when it comes. It is a special party, you have to ignore it and let Faye go to that party."

"What kind of party is that?" Yoko was confused, she felt like this was something unusual.

"You don't need to care about that. Just know that when Faye is wondering whether to go to that party or not, you can't stop her..." The lights were gradually dimming in Yoko's apartment, with the naked eye Yoko could see Faye fading away.

"Mali...!!" She screamed, clutching Faye tightly, but everything gradually blurred and disappeared.

"If Faye doesn't come to that party, the future will be completely changed. Yoko, don't change the past... leave me alone..." Faye struggled to form words, her body was slowly fading away even though Yoko was still holding her tightly "...Yoko, leave me alone."

"No.. No, don't say it anymore.." That nightmare came again, Faye disappeared in my arms again.

"I'm sorry... I disappeared before your eyes again...." Faye's face was blurred with tears, her tears fell all over Yoko's hands.

"I love you... we will definitely meet again..."

The light around Yoko all disappeared, leaving only a dark space, and Yoko was standing in the middle of that space. Even though Faye had disappeared, Yoko's two hands were only grasping at air.

Fear, panic, disbelief, and heartbreaking pain filled her heart.

Suddenly there were footsteps, slowly approaching. The person who came was a pretty young girl, with black eyes that were sparkling and filled with stars.

"It's you."

This is definitely the God Faye talks about, the one who created this game.

The god smiled, not saying anything, but her powerful voice filled the space: "I didn't expect that girl to be so cruel to herself. Not telling you the whole truth."

The whole truth? What truth?

"I give you back your own memories." The god approached and touched Yoko's forehead.

Suddenly , all the memories that had been sealed all this time were now completely released. The memories of 2024, the reason why Faye didn't want to tell Yoko, the reason why Yoko of 2024 wanted to go back to when Faye was 22 years old.

And this memory also includes all the feelings of the two people, the things they experienced together, the process of falling in love while filming the movie Blank together, the challenges as well as the happy moments.

Her Faye, her Faye has had to endure all these heartbreaking feelings of longing all this time, Faye tried to do everything just to hope that they could return to the present and be together again.

Yoko knelt down, tears falling like rain, unable to be controlled.

God looked at Yoko like that, tilting her head slightly.

"Time to go. Remember, if you fail this time. All will be lost."

"If you fail this time, when you return, you two will be nothing but strangers. All of these memories will be sealed forever."

"Your feelings will be erased."
