Grace's POV

He took his phone and tapped something on it. After looking at it, he showed me the article about us.

"Shit!" I exclaimed as soon as I saw our photos.

The heir's guardian angel.

I read the article. There was written that if the mysterious woman hadn't warned Ethan, she would shoot him. Even thinking about it gave me goosebumps.

"Can they find out about Nathan, too?" I asked anxiously.

"Yeah." Ethan responded, running his hand through his hair. "Why are you worried? They will find out about him one day." He added.

"Yeah, I know. But...my parents....You know they don't know about Nathan. I have to tell them before they learn it from newspapers. They don't even know that we are together again." I explained.

"Then this weekend, we are visiting your parents." He said, giving me a bright smile and kissed my lips.

"Really?" I asked, smiling. He nodded. "I love you, Ethan." I confessed.

"I love you, too, sweetheart." He said and placed a chaste kiss on my lips.

I was staring through the window while waiting for Ethan. He went to the mansion to bring Nathan home. I missed my little boy.

As the elevator door opened, I rushed towards Ethan and Nathan, smiling. I took Nathan in my arms and kissed his chubby cheek, breathing in his milky scent.

"I am getting jealous." Ethan commented playfully, giving me a wide smile.

I smiled and kissed his lips. "My big boy."

He grinned and wrapped his arm around my shoulder, pulling me into his chest and tapped Nathan's nose playfully.

As Nathan fell asleep, I put him in his crib. I pulled the blanket over his body and stroked his hair.

When I went downstairs, my phone rang. I grabbed my phone. It was Ruby.

"Hey." I said cheerfully.

"Are you okay, dear? I saw the news." She asked, worried.

"Yeah. We are fine now." I responded.

"Umm, how about your parents?" She asked.

"I talked to my mother this morning. They got worried when they saw the news. But I told them that we were fine and fortunately, nothing bad happened to us."

"They must have been angry when they found out about Nathan." She commented.

"Nathan?" I asked, puzzled.

"Yeah, didn't you see the news on the Internet? Every magazine has an article about Nathan." She informed.

"What?! Ruby, I will call you later." I hung up without letting her say anything.

I found the article that Ruby had told me on the Internet.

The heir's secret son

The Golden boy and the heir of Carter Enterprises Holdings Inc., Ethan Carter has a son. The child's mother is the heir's assistant and girlfriend, Grace Davies. The couple met at university and started dating.

After his graduation, the couple broke up, but after awhile, the couple got together again. It seems their love is getting stronger now.

Fuck! I ruffled my hair nervously, reading the article.

I lifted my head up as I noticed Ethan coming towards me.

"Oh...I guess you saw the magazines." He commented with a serious expression. I nodded.

Suddenly, my phone rang. It was my mother.

Shit!

"I think it isn't just me." I sighed and picked up the phone.

I woke up from nausea. I got up quickly and rushed into the bathroom.

After throwing up, I washed my face. I felt better now. I placed my hand on my stomach and went to the bedroom.

Ethan wasn't in the penthouse. He went to the company early this morning.

We came back from my parent's house last night. I still felt exhausted. And my stomach was sick. It had gotten worse during the flight.

Fortunately, my parents weren't angry at me anymore. I was so worried that they wouldn't forgive me. When we talked on the phone, my parents were frustrated because I had hidden my pregnancy.

Fortunately, everything was getting better. Ethan and I were so happy. Our families were happy for us. Even Victor Carter softened. It was a big surprise for me. Even Ethan was surprised. After what Lina had done, he came to our house and apologized. He even wished happiness to Ethan and me.

After feeding Nathan, I went to the bedroom to get ready. This evening, Ethan and I were going out. Ethan said he had a surprise for me.

I put on a yellow long dress. I did my hair wavy and applied my makeup. I looked at myself in the mirror one more time. I grabbed my clutch and went to the living room.

As Ethan saw me, he whistled, roaming me from head to toe.

"I am a lucky man." He commented as he approached me without taking his eyes off me for a second.

I smiled and placed a chaste kiss on his lips. Then we left.

He parked the car next to the beach. We got out of the car. He held my hand and led us towards the beach.

"Ethan..." I murmured in awe as I saw glowing lanterns leading us to a beautiful table set for two.

He pulled the chair for me, giving me a bright smile. I thanked him and sat down.

"Ethan, it is so beautiful." I confessed in awe, giving him a radiant smile.

"You are more beautiful, sweetheart." He said and held my hand on the table.

As we finished our dinner, he pulled a blue box out of his pocket and extended it towards me.

"What is it?" I asked, intrigued as I took the box.

"Open and see." He winked at me.

I slowly untied the white ribbon. Then I opened the box. There was a white seashell inside the box. I smiled and took it.

Ethan stood up and approached me. "Open it." He stated.

I nodded and opened it. My eyes widened in surprise as I saw a diamond ring, my mouth agape.

When I turned towards Ethan, I saw him bending down on one knee beside me.

"Will you be mine forever?" He asked, looking into my eyes as he held my free hand.

"I..." I was speechless. I felt so happy.

I stood up and bent down in front of him. He was looking at me nervously while waiting for my answer. I wrapped my arms around his neck and captured his lips in a passionate kiss. He wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me closer to him as he deepened the kiss.

"Is that a yes? "He asked, amused as we pulled back.

"Yes. Yes. Yes." I screamed happily.

He grinned ear-to-ear and kissed me. Then he took the ring and slid it on my finger.
