Author's Pov:

'First, I need to check all the drawers, then his cupboard. Is anything else left? I need to search all thoroughly. I don't even want to chocolate left. Also-', Haeun's thoughts were interrupted because of the loud shouting of someone.

"Haeun!!!"

Haeun stood up, "Y-Yes sir". Mr. Lee shook his head, "Can you repeat what I said?". Haeun looked around trying to find some clue but it was of no use. "Like what you said just now?", she asked. Mr. Lee nodded adjusting his glasses.

Haeun looked at Joshua who was trying to tell her something. But he forgot she was bad in dumb charades. "Y-You said, 'Haeun!!!', I mean shouted", Haeun said shouting just like he did.

Everyone laughed. "Everyone shut up. What were you doing?", Mr. Lee asked. "I was think- meditating", Haeun said.

"You were meditating?", Mr. Lee asked. Haeun slowly nodded. "I am leaving you this time. Focus in the class. There was an important announcement", Mr. Lee scolded her.

"There will be a test conducted tomorrow, only history and day after tomorrow will be mathematics", he said emphasizing the subjects. Haeun frowned, "Why?". Mr. Lee glared at her, "We wanted to keep it as a surprise test but we are not that cruel". Haeun sat down.

She looked at Joshua for confirmation who nodded his head back in return. Haeun tightly closed her eyes. "So I hope you study well", Mr. Lee said.

Once the classes were over. Haeun rested her head on the desk. "Why were you meditating?", Joshua asked sitting beside her. "I am not in mood, Joshua. I am not getting up, let me sleep", Haeun murmured.

"Is your mood off", Joshua asked. Haeun nodded, "Do you expect me to get up and dance after knowing that Mr. Lee suddenly decided to keep a history test".

Joshua ruffled her hair, Haeun yawned, "Let me sleep. Bye. We will meet after the classes are over".

"But what were you thinking?", Joshua asked trying to annoy her. She groaned looking at him, "I was thinking nothing, okay? Now go and have your lunch".

Joshua sighed, resting his head on the desk looking at her. "This is not how normally you are. You are not fighting back with the same energy. Something feels missing if you don't fight back".

Haeun turned to the other side, facing the wall. "Just go. I am not talking to you".

"Haeun-ie, get up. Get up. Get up. Get up", Yerin said running into the class. Haeun got up looking at her, "What happened?".

"You know just now-", She stopped seeing Joshua. Haeun understood and said, "Umm, I think all must be waiting for you. Yerin is here. I'll come with her".

Joshua nodded. After he went Yerin jumped sitting beside her, "You know, Junhui and me again walked back home yesterday. We saw a cat on the way. Junhui picked it up and played with it. He was looking so cute". Haeun laughed, "Aww, you look so happy".

Yerin smiled, "What happened? You don't look like your usual self. Even Soonyoung was quiet today. He even slept in the class". Haeun sighed, "Yesterday Appa came back. He again created a problem. He pushed Soonyoung which caused some wounds. Luckily some neighbors came and helped us. We just ate five packets of chips last night. That's only what we found".

Yerin smiled sadly, "That's why Soonyoung slept in class today?". Haeun nodded, "We both slept for 4 hours I think? Even I slept in the class but no one noticed. Also, did they tell you about the test?".

Yerin nodded, "I just want to vanish tomorrow. I want to test to get cancelled at any cost". Haeun agreed with her, "Even I wish the same".

As Haeun talked with Yerin she forgot whatever happened last night. "Let's go now?", Yerin asked. Haeun nodded.

Time Skip:

As the time ticked, Haeun waited for Joshua. She looked at librarian and smiled. She stood infront of her, "Do you like your job?". She nodded.

"Why did you choose this job? You love reading books?", Haeun asked. She nodded. "You are an introvert?", she nodded again.

Before Haeun could ask next question, the librarian said, "He is here. Now go and ask him questions. Not me". Haeun smiled sheepishly going back to the place she was sitting on.

Infront of her sat Soonyoung and beside him sat Joshua. "I thought you guys forgot about this. But I am happy Soonyoung is joining too", Haeun said.

"She was meditating in the class today. Mr. Lee caught her", Joshua said. Haeun said, "I was planning on a raid". Soonyoung chuckled, "Whom were you planning on?".

Haeun smiled pointing at him, "I am going to check your room just to see if you have hidden in snacks in there. Not everytime but whenever I need snacks".

Soonyoung laughed, "You know me too well, Haeun. But I promise, I won't hide any snacks in my room anymore".

As they continued their conversation, the trio delved into their studies, reviewing their notes and discussing important concepts.

The library was filled with the sound of flipping pages and whispered discussions. After a while, Haeun's stomach growled loudly, causing her face to turn red with embarrassment.

Soonyoung and Joshua couldn't help but burst into laughter. "I guess it's time for a snack break", Joshua suggested, pulling out a bag of chips from his backpack. Soonyoung and Haeun eagerly reached for the chips, munching on them while still studying.

They  managed to make even the most boring tasks enjoyable. Their laughter made studying feel less like a chore and more like a fun adventure. Librarian tried to interfere but later let them be. After their snack break, they resumed their studying with renewed focus. They helped each other understand difficult concepts, quizzed each other on important facts, and encouraged one another to keep going.

Harun needed the most help among the three because of her weak history. "What if I fail in tomorrow's test?", Haeun broke the silence. Both of them looked at her. "You might be weak but fail? Nah, never. You might get less marks but you can never fail", Soonyoung said.

Haeun sighed, "I am scared right now. Like the way today Mr. Lee looked at me was dangerous".

"Even I am scared for maths exam. It feels like they have intentionally kept this test just for two of us", Joshua said. Haeun looked down, "Maths is still fine though. According to me, if you know formulas you can easily substitute the values and boom, the answer in right in front of you but history? You need to remember each and everything. Maths is all about practical while history is all about theory".

"Study", librarian said in a stern voice. All three shouted a 'yes' diving into the books.

Haeun stretched her body feeling tired, "Finally it is over". Soonyoung smiled, "Yeah. Now I think tomorrow's paper will be easy".

Joshua got up, "Let's go now". Soonyoung gave an awkward smile, "You guys go ahead. I need to go to wash room. It's urgent". Saying this he took his bag and ran to washroom. Haeun laughed, "For how long was he holding it?". Joshua shrugged.

Haeun and Joshua made their way through the gate. Joshua looked at her, "Don't be tensed, tomorrow's test will be easy. I got to know why your mood was bad during the break. Soonyoung told us what happened. I am proud of you. You are intelligent, no matter what marks you get, I know you have worked hard for it and that matters the most".

Haeun smiled, "Thank you for your kind words, but if you saying it out of sympathy then don't. If you are feeling sorry for what kind of father I have got then don't. I-"

"I am not saying it out of sympathy. I think you need to hear it. You have once motivated me without even knowing. You need to hear it, you are unstoppable, never let anyone's words break you down or hurt you. You are an angel".

As Haeun heard it, her eyes filled with tears. "How many times should I tell you not to say such things? I'll end up crying so bad now", she sniffed, "I can cry easily that's why I avoid listening to it".

Joshua chuckled, patting her head, "But you deserved to listen it", closing the distance he hugged her, "You are annoying, but you are that person anyone would like to be".

During break time:

"What happened to your face and hand?", Seungcheol asked. Soonyoung sighed, "Again that man came, he came back for money". Soonyoung told them what happened.

"You both are strong. If you our help, come and tell us", Jeonghan said patting his shoulder. Soonyoung shook his head, "I am worried about Haeun. She keeps all those things in the mind and blames it on her. Also the reason our father left is because my mother gave birth to a girl and not to boy. She knows that and still blames it for herself. She will never tell anything about this but somewhere she might be feeling this. I am worried about her".

Joshua sat there feeling sad about her, 'She is definitely not what she shows us'.
