Author's Pov:

Joshua stood infront of his mother, rubbing his hands on his shirt when his phone rang. "Who is it?", his mother asked. "Haeun", he answered, "I'll answer this".

But his mother stopped him, "Give me the phone". Joshua hesitated before giving it to her. Picking up the call, his mother kept it on speaker.

"You need to come here right now. Everyone's waiting here for you. Please don't make the new members wait for you", Haeun shouted across the call. His mother rolled his eyes, "Do you even say proper hello?".

"Umm, didn't I call Joshua? Is it some kind of connection problem?", Haeun whispered. "I'm his mother speaking, Joshua will be late. I think you are no one to tell him to be early", his mother harshly spoke.

"Oh, sorry. I'll let the others know about this. Enjoy your time with your son", Haeun said hanging up the call.

"Today, you will get your test results. I'll not be home today but your father will be. He still doesn't know about your previous test results but don't think that I'll be not telling him this. I'll tell him later", his mother sternly said sipping her coffee.

Joshua hummed, "This test has gone well, thanks to Haeun". His mother stopped, "I don't even want Haeun's name coming from your mouth ever again. The marks you will be getting is because of your hard work, not because of some girl who doesn't meet our standards. Her mother has started working under us".

"But Eomma-", Joshua stopped speaking seeing his mother's glare. He sighed, "Fine. But since when did you start behaving like Appa".

His mother ignored his words, "All the best for results. Don't let our hopes down".

"It's just a normal test, it won't affect my final results", Joshua said. His mother shrugged, "Those will still be important to us".

Joshua looked down, "I am late for my classes. I might be late today evening too". His mother hummed.

Joshua went out, he opened his phone to see still Haeun on the dail. A smile spread across his face as he called her, "Hello".

He heard her sigh, "What were you planning? Like no offense but I was scared hearing your mother's voice". Joshua chuckled, "Sorry for that, I'll explain everything later". Haeun hummed, "But come fast, everyone's waiting for you".

"On my way", Joshua said hanging up the call. He grinned hearing her voice. "She has beautiful voice", he whispered starting his bike.

Time Skip:

"Finally he is here", Haeun said running towards Joshua, "Did your mother say something?". Joshua shook his head, "She didn't, don't think about her now. Let's practice".

He wrapped his hand around her shoulder, "Let's start the practice, shall we?". Haeun looked down, "What's with this sudden behavior? You look happy".

"You don't want me to be happy?", Joshua asked. Haeun immediately shook her head, "Why would I want that? Well, always be happy just like you are now".

He smiled pulling her closer, "Fine, I'll always smile if you like to see me smiling".

"You are scaring me with this sudden behavior", Haeun whispered. Before Joshua could say anything, Seungcheol interrupted, "Can we start the practice?".

"Why???? They looked so cute now", Jeonghan whined. Seungcheol cleared his throat, "Let's practice, you will get to see a lot of these from now".

Jeonghan pouted until Soonyoung came by side, "Don't worry, I'll send this video to you. I have recorded it". Jeonghan smiled, "Woah, Send it to me later. They looked so cute together".

"What are you doing?", Jihoon peaked in. Soonyoung quickly hid his phone. "What are you hiding? Tell me otherwise I'll reveal it to everyone", Jihoon threatened.

Soonyoung slowly showed his phone, "Don't tell this to Haeun, she will tear me apart". Jihoon smirked, "Send it to me too".

"Everyone, gather here", Seungcheol shouted. The pratice started soon, at first the others were awkward but soon they were comfortable.

"Should we all meet in canteen? Like it will help us to get close if we sit together", Seungcheol suggest, "You both will come too". Haeun and Yerin grinned, "Of course, we will be there".

Time Skip:

As usual, Haeun and Joshua sat beside each other, waiting for Mr. Lee to come with their history results. "What if I fail?", Haeun whispered. "You won't", Joshua answered. Everyone went quiet as Mr. Lee entered.

"Ohh, so here are your results", he said glaring at Haeun. "Look at the way he is looking, I'm sure I got less marks", Haeun said tapping her legs.

"Stop doing that and he has a habit of glaring at you", Joshua said. "But why he has that habit", Haeun sounded annoyed. Joshua chuckled, "Do you think he will smile at you after all the things you did?". Haeun hummed, "Then his glares are totally justified".

"I am surprised to see someone's sudden improvement in this test", Mr. Lee said going through the papers. "Eveyone, come according to you roll numbers and collect the papers".

One by one, everyone started to collect their result. "Haeun, it's yours", Joshua whispered. Haeun got up walking towards Mr. Lee. As Haeun took her answer sheet, Mr. Lee smiled, "You did well".

Haeun grinned but stopped, "You are being sarcastic right?". Mr. Lee shrugged. Haeun sat beside Joshua who was looking at her with curiosity, "I didn't see the marks".

Haeun closed her eyes before opening it to see her marks. She jumped hugging him, "Oh my gosh, do you see my marks?".

Joshua smiled, "It's good, 90/100". Haeun nodded, "Yeah, this is the highest I have ever scored, normally it used to be between 60-70".

"Now I'm excited to see your maths marks", Haeun said. Soon it was maths period and Joshua as usual fidgeted his fingers in nervousness.

Haeun tightly held his hands, "I'm sure you did well". Joshua hummed, loving the warmth her hands gave.

"Joshua and Haeun come here", Miss. Hwang called. She gave them their results, "Check it". Haeun without hesitation checked and smiled, 99/100. While Joshua's hands trembled, he couldn't forget the prise he gave to hus parents before the test.

"If you don't do well in this test then you are never going to touch that guitar again. You will no more be that part of your band".

"Joshua, check it! I am excited to know how my student did", she grinned. Joshua hummed, he gasped as he saw his result, "90/100".

Miss. Hwang smiled, "Just some silly mistakes. I knew you are capable of getting such marks". Joshua smiled glancing at Haeun, who had a proud smile on her face.

"He is my student after all", Haeun boasted after knowing that Joshua is the second highest in the class. Miss. Hwang patted her head, "I trusted you and you proved it. Now go".

It was break time now. Joshua came and sat beside Haeun passing her the food, "A small treat from me". Everyone awed.

"Please tell me you both are secretly dating", Junhui said. Haeun and Joshua glanced at each other, "Should we?", Haeun asked. "I think we should", Joshua smiled back.

All gasped, "Are you lying?". Soonyoung clapped his hands, "Are you two really dating?". Haeun grinned, "No, we are just joking".

"I was so excited", Soonyoung whined. "Awwie, why don't you date someone?", she pinched his cheeks. Soonyoung removed her head.

"But what is this for?", Haeun asked. "For helping me, for bringing me from 50 to 90", Joshua said warmly. Haeun stared at him, her lips slowly curving up.

"You look so whipped for him", Soonyoung whispered in her ear causing Haeun to glare at him. "Are you talking about your recent tests?", Seungcheol asked.

Haeun hummed, "Guess how much I got in history?". Soonyoung looked at her, "64?". Haeun shook her head, "Let me tell you this the highest I have scored".

"Your recent highest was 75 so basically 76 or maybe 75.5?", Soonyoung said. Haeun rolled her eyes and shook her head.

"Everyone guess how much I got. One more hint, Joshua's maths marks are same marks as mine", Haeun said.

"90?", Mingyu answered. Haeun smiled, giving him a high five, "Yes, you won in your first attempt".

Haeun kept talking with the others, as Joshua couldn't help but look at her with pure adoration.

"You can actually see they both like eachother", Wonwoo whispered as Yerin and Junhui agreed with him.
