There's been 1 month since Peter turned down Mr.Stark's offer of being an Avenger and he didn't regret it. Well, maybe living in the Avenger's Compound and spending time with the Avengers sound sooo much more interesting than going to a school filled with nerds and weirdos, but Peter still enjoys it, being a kid with his age ( except that part where he can stop a bus with his bare hand and be able to stop Winter Soldier's metal punch ) After all, he gets to see Mr.Stark quite often, mostly when he bugged into fights happened to be in his area or Mr.Stark called and handed him a "little retreat". Last time they met, Peter just helped to web up those Wakanda's weapon smugglers that SHIELD had eyed on for months. Mr.Stark sometimes invites him to the Stark Tower for training, learning new functions of his suit, upgrading and stuffs, oh of course also having dinners with the Starks. Peter has grown pretty close to the man, which sometime leads to some meaningless phone calls.

_ Whaddup kid, I hope it's important 'cause I gonna be toasted right now.

Tony hurriedly said while trying to stop the fire from burning down his lab. He told Friday to shut down the fire alarm for ages 'cause if that thing goes off, all of his works will go straight in the garbage exposure.

_ Hi Mr.Stark. So I was wondering, It's about surviving propositions, I would normally ask May but she didn't pick up so I just thought of you.

Tony left out a smile hearing the young one's whinning voice.

_ Woah, cool. Well, um.. have you check the installed power level ? I mean, it exploded because the power level didn't match right ? Run a diagnostic and I would reprogram the power core.

Peter haven't heard a sound from the other side so he's a bit scared. Did he say something wrong ?

_ Kid, Happy will pick you up after school this evening. I'll see you at the Tower.

And end call, leave Peter speechless. Guess the patrol has been rescheduled.

The ride was great, Happy asked Peter about his day and that decision made him regret. The kid had been talking nonstop but still had no idea why he needs to go to the Tower. He goes with Happy to the intern floor then sees Tony there waiting for them.

_ There you are, took you ages.

Tony looks up to see the boy runs to his side with the biggest concerned face.

_ Hi, Mr.Stark, um.. am I in trouble ?

_ No? Why would you think that ? Anyway, about the 'internship' that you and me came up to cover this superhero thing, but since your aunty found out, I think we should take this serious. This can also make a great score for your college stuff.

The billionaire pulls the kid sit next to him and explains his idea. Couldn't waste this brain in a boring highschool, right ? Though Tony forgot that Peter is actually in the best science highschool and being the best student.

Though your school's report will be enough but following the SI's policy, you have to take the entrance test and score at least 80% . We avoid bullying, back back doors relative stuffs and keep things equally for everyone.

The little boy answers with the most confused face ever and raises his voice a bit. He didn't prepare for this, for any of this.

Peter exhales exhaustedly then puts the tablet on the table. He's done with the test and had extra 7 minutes to grab himself a cup of water. Never did he think he will have to take a test that was designed by Tony Stark himself and he didn't even prepare. The boy still can not believe that Tony Stark has just offered him a internship in the Avengers Compound, well Stark Industries to be exact, since they decided to move everything and built a whole new Stark Tower next to the Compound. It's true that he got to work with Stark's technology before but only a few time for Spiderman's suit upgrowths. He's excited knowing he can be in the lab all the times but soon enough get nervous about the test.

When Peter comes back, he sees a familiar figure looking through his work. Tension rises.

_ ..Um.. Mr.Stark, I'm sorry. I didn't prepare anything, if only you can give me a bit more time to prepare I promise I'll do better.

_ You kidding me kiddo ??

The older man somehow gets angry and takes off his red sunglass. That makes our poor boy slightly jump.

_ Wha-What? Did I fail ??

_ You nail everything freaking question and have time to drink ?

Tony said in disbelief. For a hundred time, he knows the kid is intelligent but he - Tony freaking Stark designed this shieet and no one had gotten over 91%, but that brownish curl over here perfected it and had enough time to grab a cup of water !?

_ Serious kid. What have you done with that brain of yours ?

Tony stands face to face with the younger, observing how confused and awkward the little one has become.

_ W-well.. I stuck to the ceiling a-and Ned - my bestfriend throw Maltesers to see how much I could catch. We called that 'Maltesers trickshot' .

Said Peter with an awkward smile.

Tony is so so done.

_ I think that's enough for today. Your internship will start tomorrow, there's a few paper need to be signed but I'll send it to May later. Feel free to explore the lower level, that blonde over there will help and Happy will take you home. Gotta go, see you tomorrow kid.
