Chapter 14: Not So Bad After All

"Oh, my gosh! You look so cute!"

"Scott's not gonna know what hit him."

"I feel like a freaking barbie doll. I look ridiculous."

Lydia rolled her eyes at Elliot's comment as the three girls looked in the mirror at her outfit for tonight's date.

Elliot squirmed uncomfortably as she tugged at her jean jacket, twisting to see how she looked from the back, her brown curls cascading down her back.

"Guys, I don't even like pink!" she whined, turning to face the other girls, "Why can't I just wear some jeans and boots? I swear I'll kill myself with these heels!"

Allison laughed while Lydia gave the hunter an unimpressed look.

"No, this is what you're wearing because I decided it is so," Lydia told the girl, almost as if scolding a child. Elliot raised a brow.

"Isn't it my date?"

Lydia laughed, shaking her hand, "Oh, no, honey. Of course it it, but it's my day so we're doing what I say."

Elliot rolled her eyes as she turned and looked at herself in the mirror again. She sighed.

"Fine, I guess I'll let it slide this once," she gave in, making the other two girls squeal.

"You look great anyway, honey," she heard her aunt say, turning to see her at the doorway also dressed up nicely in a red gown and some black heels.

"Where are you going?" Elliot asked, giving her aunt a smile. Will went to answer, but Sam came up from behind her in a suit, fixing a watch to his wrist.

"Your uncle is taking me out to dinner, then we might go dancing," Will answered, squealing in surprise as Sam grabbed her arm and twirled her, before pulling her into his chest.

Elliot couldn't help but smile at the two as Will giggled, Sam kissing the top of her head before looking to his niece.

"Now, remember, if he does anything, and I mean anything-" Elliot cut him off with an eye roll.

"Yeah, yeah. Call you or Dad, you'll de-ball him. I've been through this Uncle Sam," Elliot chuckled. Will patted Sam's chest to get his attention.

"Well, we better be off. Have fun, kiddo!" she shouted as they walked down the hall and descended down the stairs.

As soon as they left, the doorbell rang and both Lydia and Allison jumped up, pushing Elliot away from the door.

"He's here!" Allison smiled. Lydia gave Elliot a stern look.

"We'll get the door, You wait for us to call you."

Elliot rolled her eyes as she waved them off, letting them do their own thing as she got her bag ready to leave.

"Stiles, I don't think I can do this, man," Scott said into the phone as he tugged at his maroon dress shirt, his black pants and black converse, "Will this even work?"

"Yes! Now, shut the hell up! You've got this! You're Scott McCall, the teenage alpha werewolf."

"Yeah, but she's Elliot Winchester, the daughter of the greatest supernatural hunters known to... Everyone! How am I even gonna survive?!"

Stiles sighed on the other side of the line, "Look, just give her your usual McCall charm, all right? Now, better go. You got a woman to charm."

"Wait, Stiles-" But Scott was cut off as Stiles hung up, sighing as he put away his phone and rung the doorbell.

He took a deep breath as he waited. Then, the door opened and he was faced with two serious looking teenage girls.

"What is your intentions with Elliot this evening?" Lydia asked as she crossed her arms over her chest. Scott raised a nervous brow.

"Huh?"

"Will you take care of her? Give her the treatment she deserves?" Allison added, "Because if you don't, I swear to god I will cut off your little werewolf ass and mount it as a trophy on my wall."

Scott gulped thickly, "Yes, ma'am. I will treat her... well."

The two girls gave each other a look, before smiling and losing their seriousness.

"Good," Allison stated, before turning back to the stairs, "Elliot! Scott's here!"

Scott looked towards the stairs, hearing footsteps descend down the steps. His eyes widened as he saw Elliot, almost tempted to drool.

She was gorgeous. More so than usual. She looked perfect, her scent intoxicating, luring him like a moth to a flame. Tempting him to a drug he's been addicted to his whole life. Scott felt something howl inside of him as she smiled shyly, standing beside Lydia and Allison, holding her bag tightly in front of her.

"Hey," she greeted, "You look great."

Scott snapped out of whatever trance he was in enough to answer, "Thanks, so do you. Well, not great, more than great. Beautiful, gorgeous- you- you look... gorgeous."

Elliot turned slightly pink as she looked down as Scott stuttered his words. He silently cursed himself for acting so foolish in front of her.

"Well, of you go you crazy kids!" Lydia smiled as she shoved Elliot forward, Scott catching her before she fell, "Now, we want to her by eleven, no later. Any problems, call us. Want all the details when you return home."

Allison rolled her eyes at Lydia as she chuckled, "And just have fun, guys. Enjoy yourselves."

Both Scott and Elliot smiled as they hesitantly joined hands, before walking towards Scott's mom's car.

As they drove off, the two girls sighed happily, before they looked at each other.

"Now what?" Allison asked, "She was our ride home."

Lydia was about to answer, before she shut her mouth confused.

"Hmm, I did not think that through."

***

You look great. You look great?! What was that, Winchester?! Stupid!

Elliot mentally slapped herself for the lame comment as Scott drove the two through the woods. He looked more than great, he looked mouthwatering. More gorgeous than anyone she has ever seen. And all she had to say was great?! She's losing her touch with this boy.

"So, where are we headed?" Elliot finally asked as they drove through the night. Scott looked at her, and smiled softly.

"Do you trust me?"

Elliot looked at him hesitantly, before nodding, "Yes."

"Then know you'll love it. I promise."

Elliot decided to take his word for it, and nodded, silently agreeing.

They finally made it to an overlook of the city, where a picnic dinner was set up at the edge, causing Elliot to gasp as they exited the car.

"This is beautiful!" she exclaimed, turning to look at Scott, "Did you do this?!"

Scott rubbed the back of his neck nervously as he chuckled, "I had a little help. Is this okay, for a first date?"

Elliot hesitated, before looking down at Scott's hand, taking it gently into hers.

"Are we really doing this?" she asked quietly. Scott looked down at their hands, before squeezing it confidently, giving her a large smile.

"I guess we are."

This caused Elliot to smile brightly, before they walked over and sat down. They talked for hours unending, tossing grapes into each other mouths, chased each other around and laughed more than they had in years. When they finally settled, all the food gone, they laid down next to each other, looking up at the stars, they're hands joined as they tried to name different constellations. Eventually, it grew quiet, and they just enjoyed the silence, Elliot leaning on Scott's shoulder. Scott looked down at her in surprise, but smile, leaning against her head.

"I like this, whatever this is," Scott whispered, watching Elliot play with his fingers.

"I do, too. It's not as scary as I thought it would be," Elliot admitted, looking up at him. Scott smiled down at her.

"I agree," he stated softly, unintentionally glancing down at her lips. Elliot did the same, unconsciously scooting closer.

Scott's smile fell as he leaned down, resting his hand on Elliot's cheek, and connecting their lips. And for that small second, both their eyes flashed red before they closed, showing that their mate spirits were content with their masters' progress.

***

Both Will and Sam sighed happily as they arrived at the house, closing the bedroom door and dropping their things on the bed. Sam came up behind Will and wrapped his arms around her waist, kissing her neck lightly.

"Now, will you tell me what's going on?" Sam asked, tired of the delaying his wife was putting. Will sighed, turning to face him and taking her hands in his.

She hesitated for a moment, before she stated, "I'm pregnant."

Sam smiled brightly, pulling her into a tight hug and he laughed happily, "That's wonderful."

Will sighed as she pulled away, "I don't know what to do, Sam. We've already lost our firstborn. I can't lose this one, too."

Sam looked at his wife sadly, kissing her cheek lovingly, "I know, but we both know she's better off now. This is our second chance. We'll love them just as much as the first."

Will smiled, but teared up slightly, "I'm scared, Sammy."

Sam pulled her into a hug and kissed the top of her head, "We'll get through this, little one. I promise this time it will be different."

But Sam couldn't help but feel her pain, knowing how close their daughter was, but how far she is. And while they were here crying over their first born, she was away, dealing with her own problems.

Solving it on her first date.
