Scott ran a hand through his hair as he sat on his bed, letting out a big sigh. The events that had occurred just moments before had his wolf on the edge, and he was worried that the wrong move would make him snap.
It's been a few days since Elliot has first shifted and everyone was doing their best to try and bring her memories back. But it didn't seem they would be back anytime soon. Elliot has been spending most of her time with her parents, Lydia and Allison seem to be the only ones they allowed inside.
Stiles was home filling in their friend Malia, who has just returned from searching for her mother. But she was a bit on edge on what she had found, so Scott was pretty sure they wouldn't be seeing her anytime soon.
Derek and Peter left to go find the Salvatore brothers in Virginia. They may not be back for another week or so. Dean suggested contacting the Mikaelsons but was then reminded that Elliot's 'aunt' Midnight Gilbert was the mate of Elijah Mikaelson. Willow didn't particularly feel like dying a second time.
A knock interrupted Scott's thoughts, the brunet looking up to see his mother at the door with a sad smile. Scott gave her an irritated look, before looking away, his hands clasped on his lap. Melissa sighed as she leaned on the doorway.
"You know I'm only looking out for you," she told him, crossing her arms over her chest. Scott let out a breath before relaxing a bit.
"I know, Mom. It's just... my instincts are telling me that you're wrong-- so very wrong. I will try, Mom. For you. But I'm afraid that... I might lose control," Scott trailed off to a whisper, not taking his eyes off of the floor.
Melissa walked over and sat beside him. She wrapped an arm around him and pulled her into her chest, Scott leaning his head against her shoulder.
"I'm sure she's an amazing girl, Honey," Melissa told him, "I just don't want to see you get hurt. You had things going so well for you. Imagine how I feel when this girl comes to town and things start getting worse for you."
Scott nodded, understanding her point of view. But he also knew that despite both of their best efforts, he will not be able to stay away from Elliot.
~~~A few minutes ago~~~
Scott has just arrived home, closing the door behind him. He had gone to visit Elliot, but Lydia and Allison refused to let her downstairs to see him. Something about how Elliot must experience the comfort of friends before boyfriends.
"Scott."
Scott looked up to see his mother standing in the doorway of the kitchen in her scrubs. She must have just gotten home from work. Next to her was someone he was the most awkward to see. Kira.
Scott looked at them both as he placed his helmet down. "What's going on?"
Kira and Melissa gave each other a glance, before Melissa walked forward, ringing her hands. She only did so when she was nervous.
"I thought you and Kira could talk. Try to get past this obstacle between you two," Melissa explained. Scott looked at her confused.
"Mom, Kira and I haven't been together for a few weeks now. What's this about?"
Melissa seemed reluctant to answer, so Kira got up and placed a comforting hand on her shoulder.
"Your mom is just worried about you. She's heard things about Elliot and her family, and she thinks it's safest for you to stay away from her."
Scott's eyes widened. "What? Are you crazy?"
Melissa sighed. "Look, Honey, I know you care for her. And I know you two share some supernatural bond that I will never understand, but since she came to town, you've had more problems to deal with. I just think that it'd be best--"
"--Mom, I'm sorry, but this isn't up for debate. Even Argent thinks that it would be best to not separate us. Not just for us, but for everyone around us," Scott couldn't help but argue. Just the suggestion made him want to howl at the next full moon.
Scott then looked over to Kira. "Did your mom put these thoughts in her head? Is this just a scheme to get me back?"
Kira sighed. "Scott, I care about you no matter what you choose. But that doesn't mean I won't go down without a fight. When have we ever believed in fate? Why should we start now?"
Scott couldn't help but growl, his eyes flashing red as he tugged off his jacket and threw it onto the couch. Melissa sighed as he ran upstairs.
"Scott--" she called but was cut off by the slam of a door. She turned to Kira who was looking at her sadly.
"Maybe it's time you head home," Melissa suggested. Kira nodded, giving one last sad smile before walking toward the door.
Melissa watched her leave before walking upstairs to Scott's room.
~~~~~~
Later that night, Scott decided to watch over Elliot as she said home alone. Her parents went to discuss some information with Argent, leaving Scott to grow worried for her well-being. He sat on the tree diagonal from her bedroom window, trying very hard to not fall asleep. Elliot's lights were off, letting Scott know she was most likely in bed.
Scott's eyes fluttered closed, the boy no longer able to keep them open. A flash of light caused Scott to rouse awake, the boy jumping in his seat.
The light in Elliot's bedroom was on, and he could now see the outline of a shadow walking towards the window. He panicked and backed away quickly out of sight. As the curtains opened, Scott could see Elliot standing in nothing but a white tank-top and shorts, opening her window and looking out.
He watched as she leaned onto the railing with her arms crossed, her eyes closed as she felt the breeze of the air on her face. Her scent rolled into Scott's senses, and his eyes began to glow a bright red. He let out a low growl.
Elliot's eyes shot open at the sound, her eyes changing from brown to a dull red, giving the signal that neither her or Scott were in control. Elliot began to look around frantically before she spotted a shadow hiding far up the tree. She smiled softly, before motioning for him to come forward.
The alpha was reluctant, but slowly moved closer to her window, now mere inches from her. The girl giggled as she kissed his nose, before throwing her arms around his neck. The alpha growled in content as he took her in his arms and leaped through her window, and into the room.
When he sat them upon the bed, their eyes returned to their warm glow, Elliot staring up at the boy in wonder.
"You're Scott, right?" she asked timidly. Scott gave a warm smile and nodded. She grew excited.
"I'm so happy to finally see you. I tried to get away from Lydia and Allison, but they always found me trying to sneak out. You are my mate, correct?"
Still unable to speak, he numbly nodded while committing her every feature to memory. He had missed her so much it was unexplainable, even if it had only been a few days.
"Mama said you would come, no matter how much they kept you away. I looked out the window every night hoping to see you. I'm glad you came tonight," Elliot finished, taking his hand in hers and hugging it close. She smiled in content as she closed her eyes, soaking in the warmth as he held her cheek.
Scott pulled her into his chest and held her close, kissing her forehead affectionately before leaning them back onto the bed to lay down.
"You should rest, little one," he spoke softly, brushing her hair from her face, "We have school tomorrow. It's gonna be a big day."
Elliot climbed into the covers as Scott laid on top of them. She cuddled into his chest, before staring at him with big, brown eyes.
"You'll be there with me the whole time, right?"
Scott couldn't help but chuckle. "You hardly even know me, Elly."
Elliot blushed slightly. "I know, but... I trust you. You have a soft voice."
Scott turned red as he buried his head in her neck, slightly nibbling. Elliot giggled as he tickled her. He pulled away and kissed both of her eyelids as they closed tiredly.
"I'll be with you every step of the way," he promised, "Sleep, little one."

Willow sighed agitatedly as she tried to drown out Derek and Peter's constant bickering in the car. She was currently sitting in the driver's seat-- Peter next to her and Derek in the back.
"All I'm saying is that push comes to shove, we just chain him up."
"Are you crazy? That will make her call out to him. Then, we're screwed."
"Well, my dear nephew, if you have a better idea, please enligh--"
"Will you two shut up?!" Willow snapped, her eyes glowing a bright blue. "We'll cross that bridge when we come to it. We still have a year."
Both Hales sighed as they quieted down, knowing a pregnant werewolf was a deadly werewolf.
"Now, we're almost there so if you two can keep your mouths shut for three minutes, I will calm down," Will hissed, glaring at the dark road in front of her.
Peter gave her a confused look. "What are you talking about? We're still a few hours away from Mystic Falls."
Willow gave him a look. "We're meeting someone along the way. Someone who will get the Mikaelsons on our side."
As she pulled off to the side of the road, Derek and Peter could faintly make out the outline of a black Mustang, someone leaning up against it, them being blinded by the headlights.
"Who is that?" Derek rose a brow. Willow didn't answer as she got out of the car. Derek and his uncle shared a look, before following the goddess.
As they got out, they watched as Willow jogged over and gave the person a tight hug. Now you could see the outline was female.
"What is it that you needed my absolute attention? I was almost finished re-establishing the Lycan pack in Illinois."
Willow gave the woman a smile. "My daughter is in danger. And we need your help, along with the Mikaelsons."
The woman rolled her eyes. "Why am I not surprised? The boys must have been lost without us."
Willow laughed. "I'll tell you one thing, Dean was never the same when his best friend left."
The woman smiled, before turning to the men behind Willow.
"The name's Melina Mikaelson. But you can call me Midnight."
