Chapter 2: Plan in Action
Elliot was at her locker a few days later, getting ready to leave for the day. She had science next then after that she was able to go home and rest. Well, that was her plans before she found out there was a hunt near town. It was Friday and she wasn't about to let that creature make it's way here. So she was going to do research before she left for the weekend.
The bell rang, bringing her out of her thoughts. She closed her locker then made it to her last class of the day.
~~~~~~~~
Elliot sat next to Scott at their lab table. Their teacher was currently explaining a project they will be working on for the next two weeks. Elly was taking notes as well as Scott as their teacher handed out the project rubric.
"You will all choose an animal from California. Study their environment, habits, adaptions, just their behavior in general. Then I want you to come up with a theory for their behavior in this particular environment. Then, prove it. Boards are required for all parts of project and it's due in two weeks time. The exact date is on this sheet," the teacher explained as he handed a two pages in front of Elly and Scott. "This is a partner project, so you will be working with your lab partners." Then the bell rang.
Students started to pack up their stuff and exited the classroom, on their way home. Elly turned to Scott with a smile.
"Well, Scotty, looks like we're partners," she stated as she walked out with him by her side. They stopped at her locker, Scott leaning next to it.
"When do you want to start working on it?" he asked her. Elly grabbed her journal for homework and her bag, before closing her locker.
"How about today after school? I'm busy this weekend," she told him. He nodded, following her outside to the parking lot.
"I'm cool with that. My place or yours?" he asked as he mounted his bike, which was parked next to Elly's mustang.
"Mine, if that's okay," she told him, putting her things in the back. He smiled, pulling on his helmet.
"I'll follow you then," he spoke as he started up his bike. She smirked at him, putting on her sunglasses before starting her car as well, and driving out of the parking lot, Scott hot on her tail.
Allison and Stiles watched after them suspicious. "Is he going home with her?" Allison asked.
Stiles nodded. "I think he is. Come on," he told her, walking to his jeep. Allison followed him and got into the passenger's seat.
"Where are we going?"
"We're visiting the new kid on the block."
They finally arrived into Elly's driveway where she parked her car in the garage. Scott took off his helmet and stared at the big house in front of him in shock.
"This is where you live?" he asked her as he dismounted his bike, grabbing his backpack and walking with her to the front door. Elliot looked at him amused.
"What'd you expect? A crummy trailer and Rottweiler guard dogs?" she asked him sarcastically. She opened the door and they walked in, Elliot closing the door after him as she locked it again.
"Maybe the guard dogs," he muttered as he stared at the inside fascinated. Elly heard him and chuckled, walking to the kitchen with Scott trailing behind her. She tosses her bag to the couch in the living room and heads to the fridge.
"Where are your parents?" Scott asked as he rested his backpack next to hers sitting on a bench in the bar.
"Um, it's just me and my Dad and Uncle. And they're away on business right now," she half lied, turning to face him. "Want anything to drink?"
"Waters fine," he told her, smiling at her. She closed the fridge and tossed him a water bottle and drank from hers.
"So, what animal do you want to study?" she asked him as she walked to the living room to grab her bag.
"I don't know. I'm up for anything, really," he told her honestly as he grabbed his bag and followed her upstairs. Elliot led him to her bedroom.
"How about the wolf? It's my favorite animal. They may not be in California but I'm a rebel like that," she joked, sitting at her computer desk and typed in the password. Scott visibly froze, before he regained his cool.
"That's great, actually. I'm uh, kind of an expert," he told her. Elliot smiled at him before typing in wolf to Google. They worked on the project for about three hours before Scott looked at his page confused.
"Interesting factoid connected to immigration? Where the hell are we gonna find that?" he asked himself. Elliot giggled as she set next to him Indian style, putting her pen behind her ear to hold it in place.
"I think I got something," she mumbled as she typed in some things then showing her the screen of her laptop. Scott raised a brow at her.
"Mates?" he asked confused. Elly nodded.
"Alpha males are known to do anything their mate insists while they are pregnant with their pups. They form the mate bond during heat and rut. There's an old myth that states that the alpha male will sense his mate straight away, sort of like a call he can't resist. The female will feel it too, but she could resist it some. But he'd follow her to the ends of the earth to be with her," Elliot explained, but then stopped when she noticed Scott staring at her. She laughed nervously. "Sorry, I'm rambling."
"No, it's okay. That's very interesting, actually," he told her honestly, not taking his eyes off of her.
Elliot looked to him, just realizing how close they were. She cleared her throat nervously, backing away slightly.
"How about a break? I could use some food," she asked as she stood and walked out of the room, leaving Scott in there confused.
He followed her to see she brought out some burgers and was currently eating one. She passed him one across the table which he caught.
"Hope you like cheese burgers," she told him as she took another bite. He smiled before sitting next to her and eating as well. It was silent, but a comfortable one.
"Elly?" he tested, not sure if she would answer to the nickname. She seemed fine with it.
"What's up?" she asked.
"I was wondering..." he trailed off. "Lydia is having this party tomorrow and everyone is going to be there. So, would you like to, maybe, go with me?"
Elliot smirked at him as she put her burger down. "Is this a date I hear, McCall?" she teased.
He laughed, shaking his head. "Maybe. Would you say yes if it was?" he asked, completely forgetting about his girlfriend. But luckily, Elliot saved him without knowing it.
"Can't. I have a family thing going on this weekend. And I'm sure Kira wouldn't like that so much," she said sadly. Scott tried to hide his disappointment with a smile.
"But, if I get home early, maybe you could meet me there?" she told him hopefully. Scott gave a big, genuine smile this time.
"I'd like that," he told her, before they fell into another silence and continued to eat.
Outside, watching from the window, Stiles and Allison watched shocked at what just happened.
"Did he just ask her out?" Stiles asked. He was shocked. Scott wasn't one to play with two girls. He's just too sweet. Allison nodded.
"Yes. And I know exactly why," she said astonished. Stiles looked for her to continue.
"He found his wolf mate."
~~~~~~~~~~
"A wolf mate?"
It was the next morning and Stiles, Lydia and Liam were all at Allison's house as she explained what was happening. The brunette nodded as she sighed.
"Yes. It's a werewolf's soul mate. They and the mate both form an instant connection that can never be broken. As soon as a wolf find's it's mate, it's done. Their fate is sealed," she explained. Stiles began to think.
"But don't wolves mate for life?" he asked. Allison nodded. Stiles began to think it over.
How can he mate with someone he just met? Well, I guess he has no control over it. He wouldn't do that unless he got to know her more. Especially since he's-
"Oh my god!" he suddenly yelled. Everyone looked at him panicked.
"What are you yelling about?" Lydia asked irritated, being sat right next to him.
"Shouldn't we tell a certain someone about this? A possible girlfriend, perhaps?" he tried to hint. Allison and Lydia's eyes both widened as they realized as well. Liam, on the other hand, was confused.
"No, who's girlfriend?" he asked clueless. Stiles sighed.
"Kira, you idiot."
"Oh."
"No, we can't tell her. Not yet. Elliot and Scott don't even know. They don't think anything of it. It would just make the matter worse," Allison told them. Stiles gave her a look.
"Then what are we supposed to do then? Just let them go on and hurt Kira and themselves?" Lydia asked. Allison shook her head.
"No, of course not. We have to make them realize what's wrong that way no one get's hurt. Well, not severely. If Scott knows, he'll either pursue it with Elliot or break up with Kira. It's up to him."
Liam sighed, rubbing his eyes. "Scott would be too nice to do anything. He wouldn't want to hurt either of them, knowing how he is."
Allison nodded. "Yeah. But we'll just have to trust him."
"So, how are we doing this?" Lydia asked. Stiles pulled out his phone.
"At your party tonight. Elliot said she had some family business to attend to, so she couldn't make it. But I'm sure I can convince her," Stiles stated smugly as he typed a text on his phone to the girl. Liam gave him a look.
"How do you have her number?" he asked. Stiles froze, before looking at his friend's sheepishly.
"I may have stolen it from Scott's phone."
Liam's eyes widened. "He has her number? He's just digging a bigger grave for himself when Kira finds out."
"If she finds out," Lydia muttered.
"Done. Now, we just have to make sure Scott's there," Stiles tells them. Lydia smirks.
"Leave that to me."

It was now night fall and Derek Hale was following an omega's scent. It had ran into Beacon Hills for some reason and was murdering innocent victims in the area. He had to stop it before it got to town. He jumped over a river before stopping, trying to pick up the scent again. When he finally got it, it was too late, and the omega had tackled him to the ground.
Derek struggled with the omega, throwing it into a tree as he stood up. The omega with blue eyes growled at him, charging at him at full speed. Derek made his eyes glow blue as he growled back, bracing himself for the attack. But it didn't come, as a gunshot in the air was hurt.
Derek's eyes widened as the omega fell to the ground, dead. Behind him was Elliot, a pistol in her hand pointed to the now dead wolf. She lowered it as she walked over to the dead wolf, taking her machete and cutting off the arms, legs, and head. Derek growled at her threateningly, realizing she was a hunter.
"Relax, wolf. I won't kill you. Unless you're like him and kill innocent people," she told him emotionless, standing up. She looked at him with a smirk as she walked over the chopped up body. Derek gave her a look as if to say, "You think I'll believe you after you chopped him up?"
She looked back to the body, before giving Derek a smile. "It ain't dead until it's in five pieces," she told him with a chuckle, as if it was an inside joke.
"Who are you?" Derek asked, glaring at her.
"Elliot Winchester, at your service," she said mockingly, as she bowed slightly. Derek froze. She smiled. "I see you've heard of me?"
He growled as he backed away. "What's a Winchester doing here?"
She scoffed. "Relax. I'm here to get away from hunting. This mutt was just getting in the way. I swear, I'm not here to hunt anyone. Not even your family, Hale."
"You'll just bring your family here. They always follow."
"I know how to cover my tracks, dog. I come in peace."
Derek stared at her suspiciously, listening to her heart. She isn't lying, he thought.
"Why should I trust you?" he asked. She laughed.
"I don't ask you to trust me 'cause I don't trust you. All I ask is you keep my secret," she corrected him.
"Why would I do that?"
"'Cause I mean no harm. I just want a normal life," she told home sincerely. He heard the tone in her voice and nodded, understanding what she was saying.
"Does this mean you're my ally?" he asked. She scoffed, resting her machete on her shoulder.
"Now, don't get crazy, wolf. I'll still kill you if you give me a reason to," she said seriously before turning and walking back into the darkness. "You'll take care of the body, won't you?"
As she walked, her phone dinged, signally a text message. It was Stiles. He had texted her earlier that day, but she didn't see it, do to tracking down the omega.
She pulled out her phone and unlocked it, reading the text. It was telling her that the party was still on for a few hours and she should come if she could. She thought about it, before deciding she would go.
What could go wrong? I'll see Scott again, she thought happily, smiling as she skipped off to her mustang.

Lydia Martin's house was booming with loud music. She had made sure it was to Elliot's liking to make sure she stayed. It was classic rock, though Lydia minded, everyone else seemed to like the music. She was sure to put some modern tunes in there for her own sake. She had convinced Scott to come, saying that Elliot was sure to come soon. She was just hoping she took Stiles' invite and showed up.
Party Like A Rockstar by Shop Boyz was blaring on the speakers as a familiar face walked in through the backyard fence. Lydia and Allison, who were standing at the back door, jaws' dropped as they watched Elliot waltz in. Elly flipped her hair as she wore a smug face as she watched all eyes go to her. Even Scott, who was talking to Kira, seemed to stop and stare at her. Elly couldn't help but smirk as she walked over to the punch bowl, which was already spiked to her pleasure. She took a drink from her red solo cup and turned, looking around at all the people dancing and hanging out.
Lydia and Allison walked over to her.
"Elly, good to see you could make it," Allison greeted, seeing if Scott's nickname would be of use. Elly smiled.
"Well, family business was done early so I thought to stop by," she told them, finishing her drink. Lydia gave her a disgusted look.
"That's spiked with Jack Daniel's," she informed the hunter. Elly looked to her cup curiously.
"I thought it tasted familiar. My favorite," she stated, surprising the two girls in front of her. Elly smiled at them. "So, are we gonna dance or what?"
She walked past them and into the see of teens looking for a boy to play with. Both girls stared at Elly with wide eyes as she dirty danced with some jock from lacrosse she barely knew. Elly was doing every move possible to lure him into her trap. Her father had taught her well.
Allison looked to Scott who was talking to Kira. Well, Kira was talking to him, Scott was staring at Elly. His glare on the boy with her never wavered, his eyes even began to glow red without him knowing in jealously.
Stiles walked by the two girls laughing. Allison took the chance to grab him and face him towards Scott.
"Hey, what's the big id- oh no," he muttered as he saw what was about to happen. "What do we do?"
"Distract him," Lydia ordered. Stiles looked at them like they were crazy.
"What?! I don't want to die!" he exclaimed. Allison rolled her eyes, pushing him in Scott's direction.
"Just do it so we have enough time to get that guy away from Elly. We don't want someone dying tonight."
Stiles sighed. "You two are the worst," he muttered to himself as he stalked off to his best friend.
Allison felt a rush of relief, until the song changed.
Give it to me, I'm worth it
Baby, I'm worth it
Uh-hu, I'm worth it
Gimme, gimme, I'm worth it
Lydia and Allison stared at each other in udder horror as Elly began to grind on the guy, her back to him, giving him a clear invitation to put his hands on her hips, his face in her neck.
Stiles tried to stop Scott as he moved to the girl, but his human strength was no use. Scott was angry, jealous, and no longer Scott anymore. His wolf had taken control as he now stalked over to his mate, a determined look on his face.
Allison and Lydia stared helplessly as neared Elly and the poor human boy on the lacrosse team.
"Well, he's dead," Stiles told them as he stood next to them and watched as well. Allison shook her head.
"What the hell do we do?"
