Chapter 3: She is Gone
Previously on The Alpha's Hunter Mate...
Lydia and Allison stared at each other in udder horror as Elly began to grind on the guy, her back to him, giving him a clear invitation to put his hands on her hips, his face in her neck.
Stiles tried to stop Scott as he moved to the girl, but his human strength was no use. Scott was angry, jealous, and no longer Scott anymore. His wolf had taken control as he now stalked over to his mate, a determined look on his face.
Allison and Lydia stared helplessly as neared Elly and the poor human boy on the lacrosse team.
"Well, he's dead," Stiles told them as he stood next to them and watched as well. Allison shook her head.
"What the hell do we do?"
~~~~~~~~
Elliot was enjoying herself immensely. She knew she couldn't take the guy home but that didn't mean that she couldn't have her fun with him anyway. She was simply dancing with him, not having a care in the world about anything else. Until the guy was pushed away from her. She turned, about to yell at the person who had just interrupted her dance.
"Hey! What's the big deal?!" she shouted over the music, not expecting to see Scott standing in front of her, glaring at the lacrosse player.
"What the hell, man?!" the boy yelled at Scott. The alpha just glared at him.
"Beat it," he growled. The boy simply raised his hands in defense, walking off into the sea of teens. Scott turned to face Elly, who was looking at him confused.
"What was that ab-" Scott cut her off by grabbed her by her waist and pulling her closer to him, so their bodies were touching.
"Dance with me," he demanded, leaning his head down to look in her eyes. Elly froze, her eyes seemingly to flash a dull red before returning to her brown. She only nodded, her cocky demeanor back as she began to dance with the boy.
Allison, Lydia, and Stiles' jaws were all dropped in shock as they watched the two dance together, not seeming to care how intimate it was. Stiles blinked, making sure what he was seeing was actually happening.
"Um," he muttered. "He didn't kill him? I thought you said he was gonna die?" he asked Allison. The brunette shrugged.
"I'm just as confused as you. Normal mates would have killed anyone posing as a threat. Maybe it's his True Alpha status?" Allison guessed. Lydia rolled her eyes.
"Well, crisis averted, but we have another problem," she stated, looking to their left. "Girlfriend, nine o-clock."
The other two teens looked to see an angry Kira walk over to them. "What is she doing? What is he doing? Why are they-"
"-Dancing together as if they want to bang each other right then and there?" Stiles cut her off. Kira glared at him, causing him to squirm. "Sorry, not helping."
Allison sighed, walking over to Kira. "There's something that you should know."
After explaining everything to the kitsune, Kira slowly nodded. "So, there's nothing I can do?" she asked sadly. Allison shook her head.
"They most likely won't remember what happened tonight. It'll be a blur. I saw Elly's eyes flash red, which means she is under the same influence of the bond as Scott was. They can't help it either. It's inevitable."
Kira sighed, looking at her hands. She then shook her head.
"I'm not giving up without a fight."
"Kira-"
"-No! I'm not gonna let this girl just take him from under my nose! If she wants him, she's gonna have to go through me!"
"It's not like she's doing it on purpose. It's not his or her fault," Lydia tried to reason.
"I don't care. I'm not letting him go any time soon," Kira snapped before she stalked off into the house. Allison sighed as she looked back to the two teens dancing. Suddenly, the song changed.
You spin my head right round, right round, when you go down, when you go down, down
You spin my head right round, right round, when you go down, when you go down, down
Elly couldn't help but smirk as she turned and faced away from Scott, locking her hands behind his neck. Scott wrapped his arms around her waist, leaning his face to her exposed neck. They swayed to the bet along with the other teens around them.
"What's with the sudden bravery?" Elly teased, grinding her butt on his crotch. Scott smirked, pulling her closer.
"Just part of the effect you have on me."
"Good," Elly bit her lip, turning to face him once more, wrapping her arms around his neck and pulling him closer. "Because I'm not don't with you yet."
She then bit his bottom lip, pulling on it before letting it go. Scott groaned, his hands holding her tighter, not that she minded.
And that night, they had no worries.
And true to Allison's theory, the two didn't remember the next morning. Elly woke up with a massive headache, in her bed and in pajamas. The last thing she remembers is dancing with that guy, then everything is a blur after that.
She got up and walked to the kitchen, going into her fridge and pulling out a beer that was hidden in the back. She popped off the top and took a sip, her headache already subsiding. She sighed, rubbing her eyes as she tried to wake herself up. She knew it was Saturday too, that meant that she had to go for a run or her uncle would kill her.
She walked to her room and quickly dressed in a blue tank top, grey joggers, and a black jacket. She tied her hair in a pony tail, before grabbing her iPod and rushing out the doo with her keys.
***
Allison and Lydia were on their way to the mall. Lydia claimed that she didn't have anything to where for the new year and Allison just wanted to get out of the house.
"I'm just saying, you could use a new wardrobe," Lydia stated. Allison rolled her eyes.
"I'm not taking your clothes, Lydia. I'm really okay," she insisted as she stopped at a stop sign.
Before Lydia could respond, she potted something. "Hey, is that Elliot?"
Allison looked to see it was in fact Elly, jogging down the sidewalk with earphones in. She then turned the corner and ran into the woods, not even taking the path, just going in the dirt. Allison watched her curiously.
"Huh. I wonder where she's going."
Elly sighed as she finally got to the clearing she was supposed to meet her Uncle Cas at. He was supposed to be checking up on her do to her displeasure. She hadn't been here three weeks and Sam was already trying to make sure she wasn't dead. She wasn't that bad of a hunter.
"Hello, Elliot," she heard a deep voice greet from behind her. She turned and smiled to see her trench coat wearing uncle. She jogged over and gave him a hug, which he returned with a smile. She pulled away and grinned at him.
"So, what did I miss?" she asked him, sitting herself on a log.
Once her uncle had filled her in on everything happened at the bunker, she finally brought up the topic that she had tried so hard to avoid.
"How's he doing?"
Cas's face fell suddenly. "He's cooperating with your uncle still. Not suspicious about your 'kidnapping.'"
Elly rolled her eyes. "I left a note, it's not kidnapping."
"I believe he's in a form of denial that you would actually leave him like your mother did."
"My mom did not leave him, she died! And don't ever bring her up again!" she suddenly snapped. Her mother's death was a touchy subject. She died trying to give Elly that taste of a normal life. Hence, why her father was so against it.
"My apologies, Elliot," he told her, before it was silent for a moment. Then he spoke again. "You know he prays."
Elly gave him an odd look. "What?"
Cas nodded. "To no one in particular, he prays that you are safe and not dead. He says he's sorry for that argument that drove you away. He says he regrets his last words to you weren't that he loves you."
Elly shook her head angrily, tears blurring her vision. "Uncle Cas, I'm not going back. So you can just stop with the lies now."
Cas looked at her confused. "But I'm not-"
"-I've gotta go. I have homework. Tell Uncle Sam I'm doing all right. See you," she rushed before jogging off, stuffing her ear buds into her ears. Cas sighed, before he was gone.
He appeared in the bunker library where Sam and Dean were doing research. Sam looked up at him, before walking out of the room, glancing at his brother before going to see how Elly was doing. Dean didn't question it, Sam had been doing the same thing for the past four years.
Dean sighed, rubbing his eyes tiredly, before deciding to call it a night. He walked to his room, took off his button down and shoes before collapsing onto the bed. His eyes were closed, but he was nowhere asleep. So, he pulled out a small picture frame that was under his pillow. It was of him and Elly on her fourteenth birthday.
She was sat in a chair, a baseball cap on her head as she smiled at the camera, her cheeks stuffed with cake. Dean was crouched down beside her, a cowboy hat on his head with his mouth stuffed with pie, also smiling at the camera, one arm wrapped around Elly's shoulders.
Tears came to his eyes as he looked at the old photo, not being able to stop them from falling. She would be eighteen in a couple of months, if she was even still alive. She would be a grown women, not the little girl that he still remembered in his mind. She wasn't here to be his little girl anymore.
She was gone.
