Chapter 8: Daddy Dearest

Elliot felt a sharp pain in her head and her side as she started to regain consciousness. Everything was hazy in her memory, all she remembers is the Hell Hounds attacking her, then... it was blank after that.

"Morning, Short-stack," she heard a deep, rough voice greet beside her.

Her eyes widened slightly. That voice. It was so familiar. So unforgettable.

She slowly turned to see the face she hasn't seen in four years. The comforting green eyes that would slowly lull her to sleep while listening to the deep, soothing voice that would sing "Hey Jude" to her as a lullaby.

Elliot's eyes welled up with tears as she faced the man that had driven her away at a young age, yet she deathly missed to be by his side again.

"D-Dad," she stuttered, not knowing what else to stay.

She could see the tears in her father's eyes as he gave her a comforting smile, taking her hand in his and rubbing his thumb over the back of it as he looked her over.

"You've grown," he chuckled sadly, "Still the little rebel I remember?"

Elliot could see that her father was trying to lessen the tension by joking around, trying to hide how sad he was. But she could see right through him.

"Dad, I-I don't know what to say..." she trailed off painfully. Dean shook his head, pulling her into his arms and hugging her tightly.

"It's okay. You don't need to say anything," he choked out, tears streaming down his cheeks, "Just let me hold my baby girl."

Elly let out a sob as she buried her face in his chest, tears flowing down her face like a waterfall, "I-I'm sorry, Dad! I- I didn't m-mean to--"

"Shh, shh, it's okay," Dean cooed as he rubbed her back comfortingly, smiling in content, "I'm here now, Elly. I'm here."

And they stayed like that, just enjoying the moment of home once again.

Scott groaned as he rubbed his head, sitting up in the chair he was now laying in. He opened his eyes and looked around confused, seeing Elliot's uncles, Allison, Stiles and Chris all staring at him.

"What's going on?" he asked, looking at them weirdly, before his eyes widened in realization, "Where's Elliot?"

"She's fine. She's with her father," Chris answered. Scott looked at him confused.

"Her father's in town?" he asked. Sam nodded.

"They're just catching up. In the mean time, we need to talk with you," Sam stated seriously, sitting on the coffee table in front of Scott.

"What is it?" Scott eyed him cautious and nervously.

Sam sighed, "Well, first, we need to get Elliot out here, because this involves both of you."

"What involves both of us?" Elliot asked as she walked down the hall, Dean following her. A dangerous glare was evident on his face, and it was directed to the young alpha.

"Please, Elliot, take a seat," Cas gestured next to Scott. Elly nodded, going to sit beside Scott, but Dean stopped her, grabbing her wrist.

"She's staying with me," he glared, pointing to the chair beside himself. Elly rolled her eyes and did as she was told, looking towards everyone.

"So, what's going on?"

Sam and Dean glanced at each other, before Sam sighed.

"Elliot..."

***

"WHAT?!"

Everyone winced as Elliot screeched, Scott staring at the floor in shock.

"You've got to be joking," Elliot growled. Sam shook his head.

"No, we're not."

Elliot shook her head in disbelief, "I won't allow it to happen."

"Elliot--"

"Don't 'Elliot' me, Dad! Crowley can't do that! We have to stop him!"

"So what if he kills every supernatural entity in this town?!" Dean shouted, "Less monsters in the world!"

"These creatures aren't monsters! They have humanity! They'd kill Lydia, Liam, Kira, Scott! I won't let him hurt the people I care about!"

Okay, so maybe they hadn't told them about the mate bond yet, but Sam just couldn't tell him niece until he got more Intel. So, he just told her what Crowley was planning to do. Seemed easier than the total truth.

"We're not leaving them here to die!" Elliot refused.

"You can't argue with me, young lady! I am your father!" Dean yelled at her. Elly glared at him, reminding him much of her mother's glare when she was angry at him.

"Sam's been more of a father to me than you have ever been! You can't control the way I think or do! God, you're acting exactly like Grandpa John!"

Dean was silent, paralyzed by her words as she pushed past him and out the door. Scott looked at after her worriedly and stood up.

"I'll go make sure she's okay," he stated, following after Elly.

Dean was too shocked he didn't even protest. Sam looked at his brother in dismay as she walked over to him.

"She didn't mean it, Dean," he tried to assure his brother, but Dean only shook his head, walking towards the kitchen to be alone.

***

Elliot sat on the curb of the apartment building, picking at the grass as the moonlight shined down on her face. She heard the entrance door open, and Scott's sneakers squeaking as she walked towards her, sitting beside her.

They were silent for a moment, until Scott decided to speak.

"You know, he just wants to keep you safe," Scott told her. Elly scoffed.

"He could do that without being so suffocating. Did you know he didn't take me to my fifth grade Father/Daughter dance because he thought my teacher was a siren?"

Scott shook his head, "Was it right?"

Elly blushed slightly, "That's besides the point. The point is, ever since my mother died, he's kept me guarded and ready like a solider."

Scott looked at her sadly, "You never mentioned your mom."

Elliot shrugged, "Not much to say, she died when I was four, a few years after my Aunt Willow. She was apparently a kick ass hunter, and a great mother. She kept my father sane. But after she died, he... changed."

Scott looked at her sympathetically, and wrapped and arm around her waist, pulling her closer. Elly let her head fall to his shoulder, enjoying the warmth.

"He just doesn't want to lose you, too. He's afraid, you can't blame him for that," Scott whispered. Elliot sighed.

"I guess you're right. I didn't mean what I said, I was just angry."

Scott kissed the top of her head, "I'm sure he understands that. But right now, maybe it's best if you leave."

Elliot sat up straight and looked at him irritated.

"No, I'm not leaving you guys here alone. I'm not gonna let Crowley hurt you. I care about you too much," Elliot told him, not looking away from his brown eyes.

Scott never broke the eye contact either. He shook his head.

"I just don't want you to get hurt. I care about you, too."

"I won't get hurt. I promise."

After Elliot whispered this, her eyes shifted down to his lips, Scott's eyes doing the same.

They made eye contact again, before both starting to lean in slowly. Elly was a bit hesitant, but she finally brushed her lips against his.

There was a spark that made both of their breaths catch in their throats, before Scott put a hand on her cheek, and kissed her deeply.

Elliot didn't protest, wrapping her arms around his neck as she pulled him closer, kissing him deeper, and slower.

They stayed for what seemed like years, Scott placing his hands on her hips, holding her in place. Elliot ran her fingers through his hair, nipping at his bottom lip. It seemed so natural, real.

And then, Scott's phone rang.

That seemed to pull the two out of their trances, and they quickly pulled away from each other. As Elliot tried to catch her breath, Scott fished out his phone from his pocket, and looked at the caller I.D.

Kira.

Elliot and Scott looked at the name, realization of what they had just done coming across their faces.

"Oh, no," Elliot murmered, before she quickly stood and walked towards her car.

"Wait, Elliot!" Scott called after her, getting up anf following her.

"We shouldn't have done that," Elly shook her head as she reached her mustang.

"Please, let's talk about this," Scott begged.

Elly shook her head, not realizing the tears clouding her vision as she fished out her keys and unlocked her car.

"There's nothing to talk about. You have a girlfriend. That's all there is to it."

"Elly--"

"--Goodnight, Scott," Elliot quickly bid goodbye and got into her car, starting it up, and driving down the road.

Scott stared after her in defeat, not understanding why he felt such a sadness for her leaving him.

Little did they know, a certain uncle had been watching the entire thing from the Argent's window.
