Chapter 23

This is the chapter everyone's been waiting for! I was going to do it a little later in the book but this ended up working out perfectly. I hope you enjoy it! Up top is a video I came across that just reminded me of Brooke and Dean that I thought you might like. Also, at the bottom is the picture of Brooke's dress, which you'll see what that's for. Enjoy!

Chapter 23

Brooklyn

"Are you sure you're ready for this?" I asked Dean who sat across from me.

"Are you sure you're ready for this?"

I smiled and tilted my head up a little, "Oh, Dean Winchester, I was born ready." I laid my cards down in front of me, "Full house baby!"

Dean threw his cards down on the table and sighed loudly as he leaned back in his chair in defeat. I laughed and slid the six pack over to my side of the table, ripping one off, and opening one.

"Winner, winner, six pack dinner," I said, taking a swig.

Sam walked in, looking exhausted which surprised me considering he had been in his room most of the day.

"Hey," Dean said, looking at his brother as he grabbed a cup of coffee.

"Hi," Sam said, sounding stuffy and groggy.

"You feeling okay?" I asked, eyeing Sam as he took a sip of his coffee.

Sam closed his eyes and sighed, "Yeah, I'm fine, just a bad headache."

Dean eyed his brother, "Well, you've been stuck in your room for about two days now. I'd get a headache too. Why don't we head out, I think I found a case anyways."

I eyed Dean, "When did you look for a case?"

"When you were complaining that we never do anything fun," Dena said, making me recall that conversation that lead us to right here.

"What kind of case?" Sam asked?

Dean grabbed the notebook that sat on the table and flipped through it for a minute. "Harold Miller, 65. A resident of Oak Park, an old folks' home, was found yesterday in his room with his head bashed in. But get this, the doors were locked and there was no sign of break-in."

"Could be a ghost or Demonic possession," I said, shrugging.

"Yeah, if we were lucky," Dean said and turned to his brother who stood in silence. "I figure it's worth a look. What do you think? Oh, and best part is, Oak Park is 15 minutes from here. It's in our backyard."

Sam sighed, "And what about the Darkness? What about Cas? We haven't heard from them."

Dean put his hand up, stopping his brother, "Okay, first of all, we've got zero on Amara. And Cas... Cas will be fine. He always is. So what do you say?"

Sam shifted slightly, "I don't know. Maybe we should take some time off, get situated and back on track again."

Raising a brow at his brother, Dean asked, "Isn't that what we've been doing these past few days? I just thought with everything going on we'd like to get back on a case. You know, saving people and hunting things like the good old days."

"I just don't know," Sam said, still seeming questionable about the whole thing.

I eyed Sam, worried about him. "Maybe Sam's right. Maybe we need to regroup and get things situated again."

Dean looked at me surprised, "And what about the case?"

"We could pass it on, or if you want to go with someone else."

"No, not really. I was thinking of a family thing, you know?"

Sam smiled slightly as he looked down at his cup of coffee, "You two could always get married."

"Oh yeah, that thing," Dean said, thinking.

I made the same face, "Yeah, we still haven't done that, have we?"

"I guess not. Who do we even invite?"

"What do we wear?"

"Who would do the whole marriage thing?"

"I really don't want to wear a dress."

"So we have to do it in a church?"

Sam spoke up, grabbing our attention, "Guys! You can do whatever you want to do, it's you wedding. You can invite whoever, go wherever, and wear whatever."

Dean and I looked at each other, "Do we want to do this?"

"I mean, why not?" I smiled and shrugged getting excited.

Sucking in a large breath, Dean ran a hand through his hair, "Alrighty then. We're having a wedding!"

The thought of just getting married was something I always wanted, but now that it was here, it terrified me just as much as it excited me. There really wasn't too many people we wanted to invite, since most of them are dead anyways. It was sad to think like that, but that's the life we live.

Sam was going to be one of our witnesses and Dean's Best Man. We called up Cas to see if he would like to be the one marrying us, to which he agreed excitedly. As for me, I didn't know what to do. I didn't have any family alive and I wasn't that close with anyone.

I sat on my bed, going through the contacts of my phone with a grown in frustration.

"So much for a maid of honor," I mumbled to myself.

I heard a small knock on my door and looked up to watch the door open and revealing Sam.

"Sam, hey, how's Dean doing?"

"Freaking out on what to wear," Sam said with a smile as he walked in and sat on the edge of my bed.

"Yeah, sounds about right," I said and looked down at my phone.

Sam paused for a moment before asking, "Find anyone yet?"

"Nope. Everyone I'd want in my wedding is either dead or... nope mostly dead."

We both lightly chuckle but Sam still looked at me with sympathy. "Well, Dean wanted to give you your wedding present early so... why don't you follow me?"

I looked at Sam confused before I climbed off the bed and followed him to the Library. "Dean wanted to bring your brother back but sadly we couldn't get a connection through. So, he had another idea."

Sam moved to the side when we walked in, revealing Rose standing there in a beautiful purple dress. She smiled when she saw me and shrugged, "I hope I dressed appropriately for the occasion."

My mouth parted in shock before I ran up to her, my arms wrapping themselves around her in a hug that she returned.

"Rose, I'm.... I'm so sorry-" I started but Rose pulled away and made me look at her.

"Hey, it wasn't your fault. It's okay now. Sam was able to connect to me and I was able to visit. Just for the day though."

I turned and looked at Sam, "Thank you."

"Thank Dean, it was his idea."

That raised a question in my head though, what do I give Dean? We can't bring someone back in time for the wedding and he has everyone he would need, here already.

"Can't decide what to give him?" Rose asked me, making me look at her.

"That obvious?"

"A little," She smiled. She seemed so much happier, normal even. It made me wonder if she was an angel again or if this was Rose as Rose. Either way, I enjoyed it. Her talking again, made my mind turn to her. "Well, knowing Dean Winchester, he's favorite things in life he already has."

"Which are?"

"Family, and you."

That gave me an idea and I quickly headed to my room with Rose following while Sam returned to Dean's room. I wrote a few things down before having Rose give the note to Sam.

I swung my closet doors open to decide what to wear and immediately felt my nerves start to take over me again. My hands gripped the doors and I couldn't help but feel slightly dizzy as my mind raced.

"Would you like some help?" Rose asked me, tilting her head to the side.

A small groan left my lips, "I don't know what to wear. I mean, I'm not a "women in white" type of person. Hell, I hate white and dresses. But with something like this, I feel like I need to wear something better than torn jeans and a leather jacket. Though I wouldn't mind keeping the leather jacket."

Rose walked over to my closet, studying it before closing the doors. She paused, sucking in a large breath, before mumbling something. When she turned back to face me she had a beautiful, knee length dress. It was purple with a black lace draped over it. It had spaghetti straps and it was defiantly sucked in a bit to show my figure a bit.

"And you can wear your leather jacket with it," Rose smiled, hanging me the dress.

"Wow, how did you-?"

"I still have a few tricks up my sleeve," She smiled and shrugged.

Rose helped me get ready, applying little make-up and pulling my hair up to a nice bun. She let a few strains hang around my face before taking a step back to see me. "It's missing something," She mumbled, trying to think.

I scuffed, "Don't think for a second you're putting heels on me."

Understanding, she nodded. Before another word could be said, the door opened and Sam stepped in wearing a nice suit.

"Wow, Brooke you look beautiful."

"Thanks Sam, did you get what I asked" I smiled.

"Yup, I got it all situated. Rose, I need your help actually with a few things."

Rose nodded, "Okay, I'm coming." She put her hand on my shoulder and gave me a reassuring smile before leaving with Sam.

I sucked in a deep breath as I starred at myself in the mirror. I slipped on and shortened Dean's necklace that he gave to me before and held it in my hands.

"You look beautiful."

Jumping at the voice, I turned around and stood when I saw the women standing in my room. "Amara," I whispered in shock.

"I always wondered why weddings were so important, so beautiful. Now I know why, their made from love. It's the closest thing that people created that stands greater then what God has created."

I was unsure what to say, how to respond, so I just stood there. "You should go, if someone see's you-"

"I'm not staying, I just came to give you a gift." She walked up to me and held out her closed hand. She opened it, revealing a beautiful silver bracelet. It was a piece of silver bent to fit on my wrist. In the middle of it sat a heart with a stone. The stone seemed to move with colors, captivating me.

"Wow, it's beautiful. Thank you," I said, looking up to find Amara gone. My eyes glanced around just as reassurance before I slipped the bracelet on. As if on cue, Rose opened my door and poked her head in.

"It's time."

Nodding, I slipped on some black vans before following Rose out. She handed me a small bouquet of flowers before leading the way. My nerves made my hands shake, but my heart and mind were filled with excitement, seeming to overpower the nerves.

When we turned the corner into the Library, the first thing I noticed was the tables had been pushed to the side. Cas stood in the middle of the room, dressed as he usually is with a smile on his face. Dean stood beside him, dressed in a suit and talking to Sam who stood beside his brother.

Dean looked at me and it was as if music began to play in the background the second we met eyes. He looked handsome in a suit.

I smiled and held back a nervous chuckle as Rose walked up there and stood across from Sam. I followed next, my eyes never leaving Dean's until I was standing right in front of him.

"Damn," He breathed out, looking me up and down.

"You don't look to bad yourself," I chuckled, seeming to snap Dean back to reality and look at himself.

"Yeah, I guess I have you to thank for that. Sam said you asked him to get this suit out, but didn't tell me why."

I fixed his tie and smiled, "Well, since I'm the only one who does laundry around here, I saw this is Sam's closet. After talking to Sam I realized that it was your dad's suit when he married your mom. I thought you might want to wear something of your dad's."

Dean's mouth parted in shock and he looked back down at his suit, rubbing his hand across it. "Wow, thank you," He said, looking at me. He looked like he was going to cry.

Leaning in, I gave his cheek a kiss before handing Rose my flowers. Sucking in a breath, I turning to Cas, "Okay, we're ready."

It was like my ears had switched off, silencing any of Cas' words as I got lost in Dean's eyes. It seemed he had done the same because when Cas asked Dean to say his vows, it took him a minute to hear him.

"Huh, oh yeah." Dean quickly pulled out a sheet of paper from his pocket and fumbled with it nervously. He starred at the paper for a moment before he folded it back up and slipped it back into his pocket. "Okay, I'm gonna be honest, I wrote like two lines that sound really crappy and cheesy so I'm just gonna wing it."

Chuckling softly, I took Dean's hand and he sucked in a confident breath. "Alright, here it goes. I've never been good at talking about my feelings, and everyone in this room can agree to that. But, with you, it's the easiest thing I've ever done. When I left you, in Hell, there was this emptiness that I could never shake. But when I saw you in Purgatory, that emptiness was filled with something else that I could never understand until now. It was love. You're my rock, my best friend, and now my wife, and I wouldn't want anyone else to be that for me but you. Hell, I thought my brother would be the one up here before me, but, but when I saw you, I just knew that someday I'd be standing up here, confessing my thoughts and love to you. And I'm gonna be honest with you, I'm gonna mess up at times. But no matter how many times I mess up, no matter what the world throws at us, I'll never leave you. I'll never walk away from you, and that's a promise I attend to keep until the day I die, and then after. Because without you, there is no world for me. I love you Brooklyn Myers."

I felt tears rush to my eyes as he spoke, Dean himself even getting choked up. It took every ounce of me not to lean up and kiss him right there. But I still had to get through mine.

"Dang, I don't know how I'm gonna top that," I said and we both laughed softly.

Sucking in a breath I looked down at our hands before looking at Dean as I spoke. "Unlike you, I completely forgot about vows, so I'm just gonna wing mine too. I don't know where to begin, but I know that I don't want it to end. You're the best thing that's ever happen to me. And I thank God and Cas, and Hell even Crowley every day that I found my way to you. When I first heard about this whole "Meant To Be connection" thing, I thought it was ridiculous. Now the only thing that's ridiculous is how much I love you. Our hearts are one, our souls are one, and our lives are one. And I wouldn't want to spend mine with anyone else but you. The crazy, funny, handsome Dean Winchester. I love you, and I promise to you that I will never leave your side. That I will never turn my back on you. And that I will forever fight by your side, saving people and hunting things. And I'll know how those people feel, because you saved me. I love you, Dean Winchester."

Cas looked ahead, "Can I have the rings?"

Sam handed us the rings and we slipped it on each other's fingers, both of us on the brink of tears.

"Well, I guess there is only one thing to ask. Do you, Brooklyn Myers, take Dean Winchester, to be your husband?"

"I do."

"And do you, Dean Winchester, take Brooklyn Myer's, to be your wife?"

"Damn right I do."

We all laughed at Dean's words before Cas said, "I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may now kiss the bride."

I wrapped my arms around Dean's neck as he wrapped his around my waste and we both leaned in and kissed each other. I heard the cheers around us, making me pull away and smile as I looked into Dean's eyes.

Sam came up to his brother, hugging him as Rose came up to me. They both switched, hugging the other, before Rose hugged Cas. She suddenly pulled away, mouth parted in shock.

"That's not Cas," She said, making Sam, Dean, and I turn and look at her questionable.

"What?" I asked?

"That's not Cas! It's Lucifer!" She yelled, taking a step back as she starred at Cas.

We all turned to Cas who smiled widely and shrugged, "Well, I guess the cat's out." Cas or should I say Lucifer uses his powers, throwing Sam, Dean, and I across the room and into tables and bookcases before landing hard onto the floor. He then turns to Rose, "You're not needed anymore." With a snap of his fingers, Rose is gone and Lucifer turns his attention to us.

"You know, this was a beautiful wedding. It feels so full circle watching the two of you getting married. I mean, I was there when you two met after all."

Sam pulls out a blade and cuts his hand as Dean tries to stand, but instead Cas/Lucifer uses his powers and pins him to the wall where he struggles.

"Why the faces? You should be cheering, it's a great day. And we have a common enemy. With me, she's be no problem. I mean, I will have killed you all by then, but still. Come on."

"How are you here?" I yelled at him.

"Well, I guess someone saw that I was more help than an enemy," He said, patting Cas' chest.

"You won't get away with this," I said, pulling out an angel blade and charging. Before I could reach him though, Lucifer/Cas used his powers to freeze me in my place before I slid to his open hand, which wrapped itself around my throat.

Lucifer smiled, "You know, I really do hate to do this to you. I mean, we're friends after all."

"I'll never be your friend," I said and spat at him, causing him to wipe his face and glare at me. Before he could do anything, Sam slammed his bloody hand on a ruin he painted on the wall, causing Lucifer/Cas to vanish and Dean and I to drop to the ground.

Dean ran over to me, checking on me as we stood. We looked around at the mess before looking at each other.

We all went into the kitchen and grabbed some beers before sitting down in silence.

"Well, that was some wedding," Dean said against his beer.

"I guess it wouldn't be our lives if something didn't happen," I said, leaning back in my chair with a sigh.

Dean out a hand on mine that sat on the table. He gave it a squeeze and looked at me, "It was still a wedding."

I smiled, "Yeah."

There was a small pause before Sam spoke up, "So, Cas."

"Yeah, what do we do?" I asked?

"What else? We hunt Lucifer, trap the bastard, and save Cas," Dean said.

Sam starred at his brother, "Dean, what if it's not that easy? I mean, Cas may not come back willingly. He chose this."

Dean sighed and leaned back, "Damn it Cas, what were you thinking?"

"Dean, he made a bad decision. We've all been there."

I spoke up, looking at the two boys, "We'll get him back though. We just go to..."

"Keep grinding. No matter how much it hurts, no matter how hard it gets, we got to keep grinding," Dean said.

Sam nodded, "Right."

"And that's how we're gonna win. And we're gonna win. We're gonna save Cas, we're gonna ice the Devil and we're gonna shank the Darkness. And anyone that gets in our way, well, God help them," Dean held up his beer.

"Damn right," Sam said and held up his beer too.

"Can we change first?" I asked, making us all laugh before Dean leaned in and gave me a kiss.

Mrs. Winchester.

THERY'ER MARRIED!!! Writing this chapter made me so happy and excited! I'm literally screaming with excitement at how this has all worked out. And their vows! God I love these two so much I wish Brooke was in the show!

I hope you don't mind the action and rush back into hunting, but let's be honest this is probable how it'd go. So excited for what I have planned for this series. I'll do this book until the end of the season and then I'll do another book for the next book. Unless you want me to make this an extra long book and do it here, up to you.

Hope your enjoy!
