At this moment, Somchai was still searching for Annette. He had looked all over the thieves' hidden base, trying to find her—but no matter how hard he searched, she was nowhere to be found.

Meanwhile, Annette was being held in a large room. She was tightly tied to a pillar, and around her stood several guards. They kept interrogating her with question after question, trying to force information out of her. But no matter what they did, she refused to say a word.

Seeing how stubborn she was, they grew increasingly angry and decided to switch to more violent tactics. They were about to use force to break her.

Sensing the danger, Annette quickly activated her love magic through her voice to charm them:

> "Hey~ You guys are tall and handsome, and you're really gonna use force on a weak little girl like me?"
"Please~ Don't hit me! I'm begging you~"

Hearing her say that, the guards began to waver. But her magic hadn't fully taken effect yet, so she added a few more sweet lines and even acted cute to melt their hearts completely:

> "Pretty please? I'm begging you!"
"Untie me, will you?"
"It's so tight, I can barely breathe here!"
"Hurry up~!"

Unable to resist her charm any longer, the guards followed her words and untied her. Annette had successfully fooled them and escaped from the dangerous room.

Before she left, she looked back at them with a mocking smile and said:

> "Thanks, you bunch of idiots."

The guards even waved goodbye to her and watched her figure disappear into the distance. But as soon as her magic wore off, they snapped out of it and realized they'd been tricked.

> "Hey! She tricked us!"
"Get her! Catch her now!"

Back on Somchai's side, he was still running around, looking for Annette. Suddenly, he heard shouting—and the sound of a chase coming his way.

> "Stop right there!"
"You damn brat!"

Recognizing the situation from the voices, Somchai turned around and saw Annette running toward him. When she saw him, her face lit up with relief. But she didn't see the others anywhere, so she asked:

> "Somchai! Where's Cẩm Đan, Katharina, and Riccardo?"

Just as Somchai was about to answer, one of the enemies flew overhead and swung a sword down at them. Somchai quickly pulled out his sword, ready to strike back, but—

Annette turned around and cast her spell, crossing her arms just like always. She launched a series of heart-shaped arrows, striking down the enemies. After finishing them off, Somchai immediately asked her:

> "Are you okay? Did they do anything to you?"
Annette: "No, I'm fine. Thank you."
Somchai: "I'm glad. Let's go find Katharina, Cẩm Đan, and Riccardo!"
Annette: "Okay!"

On the other side, Cẩm Đan, Katharina, and Riccardo had just finished off the guards they were fighting. After that, they headed to the rendezvous point Somchai had mentioned earlier.

Finally, the whole group reunited—and together, they continued their mission:
to search for the stolen ancient manuscript.
