Hey :)
The first sign appeared when I was about ten years old. A stray message out of the blue. I nearly fainted from it, to say the least, and caused a huge ruckus during class because I yelled at the top of my lungs. Little me didn't know what was going on, and thought some ghost had appeared and written on my arm, trying to communicate with me.
The teacher eventually had to bring me outside and tell me that was my soulmate, not some imaginary ghost.
Then I proceeded to scream again, louder that time, with a blush.
Thinking back on it, I could laugh at how flustered I was, finally realizing that I had a soulmate -- a person who was destined to love me no matter what. It felt exhilarating to know that someday we would meet in person. The more I wrote to my destined lover, the more I got to know them. They were the sweetest person, with kind words and the best penmanship I'd ever seen. Their writing was smooth, almost like liquid, and the words would etch themselves onto my skin until I washed them away at night.
In the present day, I was walking towards the crow-room with a great big grin on my face. Reminiscing about last night, when my soulmate told me that I was the most precious human on the face of the Earth. It sounded cheesy, but when the words appeared on my forearm I couldn't help but laugh. My cheeks warmed up just thinking about it.
As I turned a corner, I arrived in the corridor where the mail was to be deposited. Knocking on the big wooden door, it opened and inside was Crow Master, sitting there with a bunch of scrolls laid out on his desk.
"Hey, knock knock!" The blackette raised his head, glancing at me. As soon as he set eyes on me, his face lit up and he ran towards me, arms spread wide open, preparing for a hug. Shouting in protest, I struggled in his hold as he squeezed me tight, happy to see me again.
"(Y/N)!" he exclaimed, voice a higher pitch because of the sheer happiness he felt, "You're here!" I giggled back, gently pushing myself off of him, a pink hue spread across my nose bridge. Somehow I felt like I was cheating on my soulmate by doing this, but Crow Master was just too irresistibly bubbly. Besides, my soulmate hasn't really written to me in a couple of days, and I was craving affection.
"I've been so busy with work that I haven't been able to do anything else but sort scrolls," Crow Master whined, pointing to his table, "Crow Lord has also been gone, so I don't have any extra help with the mail." He exaggeratedly put a hand to his forehead, feigning sadness.
"Woe is me," he sniffed, dramatic glossy eyes shifting over to gaze at me, "Forever alone in this dungeon, with no assistance." I sighed, flicking his bicep.
"Are you just doing this to get me down here with you?" The figure in front of me looked surprised, like he wasn't expecting me to get it right.
"Was it really that obvious?" A smile tugged at my lips as I crossed my arms.
"Dummy."

"You know, a lot of people these days have been finding their soulmates. I see a lot of sappy love letters in the mail, and would usually write some of the cheesiest messages I could find to my soulmate. They seem to enjoy it a lot." I nodded, trying to find the correct envelope to package a shorter piece of paper, my fingers wiggling as my hand was raised above the cabinets, eyes scouring to find the perfect size.
"Do you know who your soulmate is?" Crow Master questioned, curiosity taking over those cerulean blue eyes of his. Shaking my head, I let out a heavy sigh, my bottom lip sticking out.
"No, but I really do want to know. They seem like such a sweetheart. Plus, they have some seriously neat handwriting." The ravenette chuckled, his hands working through the thick pile of paper.
"That's nice. My soulmate is also really sweet. Makes me wonder if I could ever meet them." He paused for a moment, hands stopping his scroll sorting, eyes gazing blankly at the ground. A small, delicate smile appeared on his face, something that screamed for longing.
"You will, don't worry," I reassured, resuming my message sorting. "Your soulmate is really lucky if they have someone like you." Crow Master's eyes brightened up again as he looked at him, the faintest of creases appearing underneath his eyes.
"I'm gonna go write to them now, is that alright?" I nodded, affirming the action. He scrambled up to his feet and went to his mess of a desk to find a pen. I looked on as he flicked his wrist, weaving words of wonder onto his tan skin. His eyes narrowed, focusing on the scripture he was painting onto his body.
As the tip of his pen flowed, I felt a tingle on my left arm. I looked down, stopping my previous actions, and rolled up my sleeve to reveal words being written on my forearm. With my eyes widening, I slowly realized what this meant.
I'm really lucky to have you. Sorry for not messaging in a while, I was busy with work!
Everything seemed to click together. The absence of Crow Lord, the strangely beautiful calligraphy he called writing, and the wonderful personality behind the narratives he'd give me almost daily. I felt small blossoms in my chest as I stood up, interrupting the small writing session Crow Master was in the middle of.
"(Y/N)? What's up? Why are you-" The pen clattered to the ground as I flew into his arms, embracing him like he was the last thing precious to me. The confused blackette hesitantly squeezed me back, his hands gently resting on my waist as we parted.
With a coy smile, I showed him my forearm. His face of confusion melted into surprise, then overwhelming joy as Crow Master gasped, both hands now covering his open mouth.
"Wait- no, you're not serious. (Y/N)-" I laughed, the melody ringing throughout the crow room, brightening the atmosphere. Crow Master suddenly swooped me up in his arms, his face completely red, even to the tips of his ears.
"It's you," he whispered, his glimmering blue eyes bearing into mine, "It's you."
