There is this cool thing, that I have found while studying film and it is film critics review. I know it might sound shocking to some but it is absolutely awesome. I mean, it shows you what others thought of the film and can teach you different perspective. It can also tell you things that you have not considered while watching the film. I find it absolutely fascinating. 

Film critics vary. I read everyone of I can possibly read after watching a film. I am curious to see what the other people picked up upon while watching the film. Once I was doing a research for a film project and I read an article from a film I was analyzing. It was released decades ago, and it was different from the more recent articles. I was able to picked up a different perspective, one which was in the past which contrasted with the more modern one. It is fascinating how society can change so quickly in a blink of eye and how time could affect society's perspective on a film. 

You know, sometimes I might agree with some of the critics, and sometimes I will disagree. But that's the beauty about film critics. You have such a variety of it that you can learn so many perspective from it. Take for example Suicide Squad. I loved it and therefore disagreed with Rotten Tomatoes review. This is because I perceived the film differently from Rotten Tomatoes and that's okay. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. This different perspective allowed to to see why they gave Suicide Squad such a low score and taught me a lot. So, to any film student out there - or to anyone in general - when you see somebody with a different perspective sit down with them and ask them why do they think that? This counts with other people as well. You can learn so much with people who don't agree with you on something. Sit down and hear them out. Keep a open mind, and learn their perspective. 

The beauty about film is that it could be interpreted in many different ways. The same goes with film critics. Since film could be interpreted in many different ways, there is a range of perspective out there in film critics. That's beauty of film critics is the different views and range of opinions and analyzing of a film that is based upon somebody's own perspective of a film. 

Conclusion, I will recommend you to read film critics review. It does not matter if you are a film student or not, it is quite cool. This also could be used in other things such as reading different newspapers. I think that reading about different perspectives teaches you about the different opinions all around the world and it makes you more aware of the world you live in. So I will highly recommend it.
