Three months into ViewMim relationship, the hill has become their secret hiding spot.

Mim is sitting in View's lap with her back pressed against the older girl's front, studying.
"Baby~"
One word from View can immediately score her Mim's attention. She puts down the book and cranks her neck up at View.
"What is it P'? You only use that voice when you want something from me." With her eyes squinted, Mim reached up to poke her cheek.

View grinned, her girlfriend truly understood her best.
"There's a party taking place this Friday night. Can I go?"
This is a cute habit of View ever since they dated, and Mim loves every bit of it. The older girl always asks Mim first whenever she's invited to parties. One because she doesn't want her baby to worry, and two because she never wants to go behind Mim's back.

"Hmm, who's gonna be there P'?"
Mim asks jokingly since she already knows half the people there. Most of all, she trusts View. There's never been a problem or incident at any of the parties before. View knows when to stop, always comes home sober before midnight, and is only ever drunk once in a while.

"You know, just my friends and people in my club." View rubbed her nose along the column of Mim's neck, feeling her girlfriend shiver View held her tighter around the waist.
"Will the cheerleading team captain be there?"
View locked eyes with Mim, a guilty expression shown on her face.
"Yes, but I will stay at least ten feet away from her."
She probably wouldn't try to approach View anymore, after receiving a public rejection from her anyway.

Mim heard the story from Bonnie first, then again with a three hour breakdown from her girlfriend.

Sounds a bit extreme, but that was how they were and how they maintain a healthy relationship. Whenever something happened, or one of them felt off, upset. They'd sit down and talk it through, comforting the other or just being there, no running away. But that didn't mean they were all up in each other's space either. They knew how to give each other room.

Perks of dating someone you basically grew up with, maybe.

The younger girl shakes her head, chuckling.
"It's okay P'View, I trust you."
"You should go to the party and have fun, but remember not too much fun without me." Mim pecks her lips.
That's not enough for View as she claims Mim's lips again into a real kiss.
"I love you, so, so much." View says between kisses. She could kiss these lips forever.

Mim is surprised when their lips separate, but then she sends View the brightest smile that only reserved for her girlfriend.
"I love you more P'View, no argument."
View nods, swiftly changing Mim's position, so now they're fully facing each other.
"I guess Bonnie will keep me company on Friday then."
"Bonnie again?" View scowled. She knows she is number one in Mim's heart, but Bonnie is probably in second place, View wants her to be at third or even fourth place in Mim's chart.
"Come on now, I thought you liked Bonnie? And do you really want me to find someone else to keep me company?" Mim pouted knowingly.
Her girlfriend's jealousy is simply the cutest, and Mim absolutely loves it whenever View is super protective of her but Bonnie should be an exception long ago.

"Nooo, I do like Bonnie. It's just that she's an annoying kid who laughs at my suffering and likes to rile me up for fun." This was the truth. Bonnie sometimes would kiss Mim's cheek or rub her arms to get View's reaction.

Mim's laughter tumbled out and echoed across the hill.
"I'm sorry babe, she's my bestie. You can't get rid of her."
"Let me make it up to you." Mim starts her kisses from View's jawline, down to her neck, leaving wet, open-mouth kisses until she finds her pulse point and sucks hard on the skin, marking what's hers and hers only.
"There, a gift for that cheerleading team captain." Mim wiggled her eyebrows, proud of her handiwork on View's neck. The hickeys were unmistakable. Only a blind person wouldn't know View was already taken.

"You're the worst and so damn sexy, you little minx." View laughed, then tugged her close into one of their heated make-out sessions.

After a year of dating, View finally introduced Mim to Love. Without thinking too much, the older girl immediately gave Mim her approval. Love like everyone else on earth thinks they're a perfect couple, and she also gets why View wants to keep Mim all to herself.

And quite some time experiencing the "Bonnie" treatment from ViewMim, Love comes up with a conclusion: If possessiveness were a sport, View and Mim would be undefeated champions.

---End of flashbacks.

"Sounds like a beautiful fairytale love story." Bonnie speaks up after being deep in thoughts along with Mim. Her gaze is still distant as she looks at the wall behind Bonnie.
"It does, unfortunately fairytales aren't real and only exist in books."
Mim sighs, her heart feels heavy. She could laugh or feel a flicker of happiness when recalling the memories of View, their teenage love story. But those memories also leave an open wound in her heart, one that never truly healed.

Bonnie didn't know what to say. The adult world was complicated, and people didn't express their emotions as freely as they used to. She didn't want to admit it because it hurt, but there was a distance now, almost like a barrier between her and Mim ever since she came back.

It wasn't just about what happened with View or how Mim had tried to pull herself together through the breakup alone without Bonnie. And it shows what changed most in Mim was her light, her joy, and the quiet maturity she carried now.

There was so much Bonnie never got to know, but she respected that if Mim ever wanted to tell her, she would. If not, Bonnie wasn't going anywhere, especially now that Mim was here and would do the same for her.

Bonnie held out her arms, and Mim immediately ran into them, crashing against her body as tears pricked at the corners of her eyes. There was always a different kind of warmth in Bonnie's embrace, one that Mim had missed more than she realized.

Being in Bonnie's arms, arms that had held her through the years reminded Mim of who she used to be. The girl who won over every mom's heart, the neighborhood heartbreaker in her dad's words, a high school sweetheart before everything fell apart.

"Your girlfriend is very lucky." Bonnie chuckled at Mim's sudden compliment.
"Ooh, are you regretting not dating me back then?" She felt Mim's giggles.
"Nope! Can you imagine what a disaster it would be if we dated?"
"I mean your parents love me so I don't think it can be that bad." Bonnie rubbed her back, easing Mim's tense muscles.
"You know the feeling of meeting someone and knowing exactly that we're destined to be best friends?" Mim is unintentionally funny with her awkward and subtle sentences.
"Ouch, no need to reject me now little Mim. But I totally get it." The nickname slips out naturally and is influenced by View. Mim noticed right away but after all, it was just a silly nickname.

"Like I can't even imagine kissing you." Mim uses her hand to imply how weird and uncomfortable it would be.
"You didn't seem to care about that when you're drunk, and well, don't knock it until you try it." Bonnie cheekily winked down at Mim, who forcefully smiled up at her.
"Yep only when I was wasted and didn't know what personal space was."
"Plus I'm not knocking it. It would definitely never happen, sorry for putting an end to your fantasy Bon." Mim smirked while Bonnie huffed at her teasing.
"You think you're a hotshot hm?" She landed a small kiss on top of Mim's head.
"There! I kissed you, what are you going to do?" Bonnie provoked.

This is very normal to them, hence why Mim doesn't react much but if Bonnie's girlfriend sees this or someone with a name that starts with 'V' sees them like this, that could be the plot of a real horror movie.

"Your girlfriend will kill both of us if she's here, and after all these years you still take advantage of me Bon Bon." Mim appreciated Bonnie's comforting gesture before leaving her embrace to sit in the chair.
"Pfft, she probably doesn't have a chance if P'View is also here." Bonnie knows not to mention View too much but damn it she's a friend and used to date Mim and somehow all of them were connected.

Mim acts like she didn't hear what Bonnie said and drops the topic, moving on with another conversation.

"Will you stay for dinner later? Call your girlfriend over too."
"I wanted to but I can't, I already planned a special surprise for my girlfriend tonight." Bonnie grinned.
"Sounds nice, more Mom's cooking for me." Mim feels better now, her heart lighter at seeing how happy and excited Bonnie is.
"I need to go home now as my first surprise."
"Off you go then, enjoy your night Bon." Mim almost kicked Bonnie out of her house upon glancing at the clock.
"You too, little Mim." They give each other a goodbye hug before Mim sends her off.

____
At 8 pm, Mim got a mission from her mom to go grocery shopping.

As she's standing at one of the aisles, Mim caught a figure that looked strangely like Love. There's no way it's her right? To avoid any unwanted encounters Mim quickly left the aisle to where the milk is, even if that person is Love then it's not the end of the world, she's here to buy groceries just like Mim.

Everybody does that, but... please go alone.

Mim being clumsy and all in her head, bumped her cart into someone else and when the person turned around, her heart almost leaped out of her chest.

"Mim? What a surprise we met here."
"It is... P'Tu." Mim's about to dash to the cashier but she's not fast enough.
"Mim?" Love is now standing in front of her.
"P'Love... I can't believe we met here." 'okay, calm down.' 'there's no sight of Prim, which is good. Those two might stay home.' Mim tries her best to stay positive, running into your neighbors or someone you know when shopping happens all the time.

'please stay home P'View.' 'please stay home P'View.' Mim chanting it like a spell in her head.
"Yeah, how are you?"
"I'm good P', how are you guys?" Mim cringes at how awkward she sounds, small talk is the worst.
"We're good um... we heard that you and View are friends?"

Mim wants to be taken out more than being interrogated at the milk section.
"Yes, we are. We both agree on the friendship status." She stops for a second.
"Uh... together." Mim added since she didn't know them well or what View had told them about her.

She didn't want to risk being on their bad side or giving the impression of a terrible ex. Someone they'd think was a horrible person and who might have treated View badly, both during and after their relationship.

Love laughed lightly.
"I know, View told us." The older girl smiled, noticing how Mim tapped her feet. She shouldn't joke like this, the younger girl is clearly uncomfortable.
"Then..."
"Oh, it's nothing Mim, we just wanted to hear it from you. It's been a while since we talked."

"... You guys aren't the only ones asking about this, Bonnie asked me the same this morning. Was us being friends really that strange P'?"
LoveTu give Mim a twin reaction, shaking their heads.
"No, we're all glad you guys talked and settled on that."
"Yes, it's better to be direct and honest with each other to work together." Tu can sense the nervousness in Mim. Behind that cold, sharp CEO facade, Mim is still a sweet, brilliant girl. Tu almost feel bad for pressing her... almost. But it's too late, they've already agreed to help View win her back.

Mim let out an awkward laugh in agreement.
"View has been... happier lately." Love talk, hinting at anything possible.
...
"I think it must be because of her new achievement with her team, P'Love."
"I would also be delighted with my team's performance as their leader."
Mim answers easily. She's smart, and she understands what Love is doing, but the older girl will end up disappointed.

Nothing is going on between them anyway.

"Ah, right, I remember she bragged about it for three days straight." Love and Tu are killing it, effortlessly juggling the conversation back and forth.

Mim laughs, cause even without wanting to, the image of View rambling nonstop about one topic pops up in her head.

"But I feel like she's mostly excited about receiving compliments from you, Mim." That's a strong attack from Tu, technically she's just stating facts. Also, she's curious to see how Mim handles this one.

The younger girl's laugh quickly quiets down as she stares at them, choosing her words carefully.
"I'm her boss and the one paying her, so I think it's a natural reaction, P'." Her words drip with control and authority.

Mim doesn't want to bring up the power dynamics between them, but it is what it is.

Tu nods, genuinely impressed with how quickly Mim comes up with such a polished response. She likes Mim more every time they meet.
"Very well." She praises.

Love's not surprised to hear it coming from Tu. Mim always keeps herself composed, calm, and collected. It's going to take a lot more than a few pointed questions to shake her. Love lets out a small sigh. Their job isn't going to be easy.

"I should go before my Mom blows up my phone." Mim says with an apologetic smile. She's been wanting to teleport home for the past few minutes.

She'd rather face her mom than stand here chatting any longer. Don't get her wrong, she likes them, they were very nice and friendly to her the night they first met. Her impression of them? Trustworthy, older sister vibes, for sure.

Still, no one likes to be ambushed or pressured, especially when it's not about work and more about personal matters.

Another set of footsteps approaches them.
'please be Prim.' 'please be Prim.'

"Do you guys think we need this?"

That voice is far too familiar and definitely not Prim's.
