On Monday, both Mim and Bonnie were running around taking care of businesses. While Mim stuck at high tension meetings, Bonnie ran all over the place to complete her tasks.

When they finally get to see each other's faces.
"Wanna go grab a drink?" Bonnie's out of breath. Mim doesn't seem any better as she gives back a weak nod.

"I'm sorry, but we're out of private rooms."
Bonnie sighs tiredly.
"It's okay, Bon, let's find another place."
Mim shrugs, and when she turns around, someone gets pushed into her, making Mim yelp, feeling annoyed since her body is exhausted.

"Oops, sorry, Prim." Prim glares at them and quickly says sorry.
"I'm sorry, my friends are being silly."
"It's fine." Mim only wants to have drinks with her best friend after a long working day, and then go home to her bed.

"Prim? What're you doing here?"
"Bonnie!" Prim smiles cheerfully.

Mim turns to Bonnie.
"You know her? Ahh, is she the one.."
"No!" Even Bonnie's ears are red.
"I wish." She mumbles.
Before any of them can continue the conversation, a voice cut through.

"Mim? What a surprise, you're back?" The voice belongs to Love.

Prim does a double take at Mim.
"You really are Mim, ugh, I'm terrible at remembering faces."

LoveTu walks towards them.
"P'Love! It's been a while." Mim gives the older girl a cute smile. She knows View's here too. The PPG gang always shows up together.

"M... Mim." Her name comes out like a whisper, and when their eyes lock, all the memories flood back to them.

View can't recall how many times she has called her name, probably ever since she knows how to speak.

Mim gets flashbacks from the past. Whenever she hears her name being called or spoken by View, it brings her joy and makes her heart do flips.

Now, hearing it again, somehow Mim can still feel a sense of calmness striking her heart.

"Are you guys here for drinks too?"
"Yes, P'Love, but they're out of private room, so we're about to leave." Bonnie sends them a sad smile.
"Oh, if you two don't mind, sit with us."

Bonnie can't answer this one, but Mim's busy having a staring contest with her ex.
"Mim." She calls, pulling on her shirt.
"Huh? Yes?"
Mim breaks eye contact.
"They're asking if you want to sit with them."
Mim looked from Love to Tu and stopped at Prim, she's the closest to Love but she heard View mention the other two a lot as well.
She didn't mind at all, they were not the ones she used to date but...

"Um, I don't want to intrude P'Love, thank you for inviting us."
The trio looks at View, who's still in her trance.
"E hem, you wouldn't have a problem drinking with Bonnie and Mim, right View?" Tu drags View to where they're all standing and elbows her in the side.

"... Of course not. Let's all sit together." View laugh awkwardly.
"See! Come on, let's get inside."
Bonnie's the happiest. She gets to drink with her celebrity crush.

Where they sit has a curved sofa so Bonnie and Mim sit in one half while the PPG squeezes into the other side.

The private room is a poor decision for this unexpected reunion.

"Well, we haven't introduced ourselves, yet."
"I'm Tu, same age as Love."
"And I'm Prim, same age as you and Bonnie."
TuPrim held out their hands for Mim to shake.

Mim cracked a genuine smile at them.
"I know, I'm Mim. Nice to meet you guys."
"I heard lots of great things."
After their handshake, they're once again quiet. The atmosphere could never be more awkward than this.

Mim shifted uneasily under the trio's gazes, most of all View's stares, which bored into her.

"How was your filming going, Prim?" Bonnie grinned like an idiot, sounding like she keeps tabs on Prim.

Mim is impressed by how Prim can reduce her best friend to a nervous wreck. Something Mim herself has never accomplished.

"It was going well. I was wondering why you haven't come to see me on set lately, Bonnie." Prim smirked.

Mim watched blood rush to Bonnie's face, she pressed her lips together to keep from laughing.
"I... I was busy these days." Bonnie stuttered, making Prim laugh out loud.

"The company must be busy, Mim. Have you settled in?"
Love diverts the conversation to Mim.
"Yes P'Love, I mean some of the people on the board got a lot to say, and they demand results."
Love nods understandingly.
"I know whatever it is, you will handle it flawlessly."
"Thank you for the encouragement, P'Love."

"How was it living over there, Mim?" It's Tu time to ask.
"It was hard at first, living in another country without your family, but slowly I got used to it."
"Life as a college student also did a great job distracting me from feeling homesick."
Mim laughs lightly at the memories.

"Ooh, I got a glimpse of one of your parties before, very wild. Makes me wonder if you're hiding any secret lovers under your sleeves. " Bonnie tries to tease but she gets a stomp on her foot.
"Very funny how you said that since you're not completely honest with me either, Bon."
Bonnie tried to ignore the throbbing pain in her feet.
"I've never lied or hidden anything from you, boss."
Mim lifts her heel off Bonnie's foot.
"Oh really? What about the fact that P'View is the director?"

Except for View who hasn't paid any attention to their conversation from the moment they sit down, everyone around the table gasp.

"I... " "It's not her fault, Mim. I made her lie to you." View finally says something, but she immediately casts her eyes away when Mim looks at her.
"So you guys go behind my back? How long do you think you could avoid your boss P'View?"
The trio, along with Bonnie waits for View's comeback, but she has nothing to say.

"As long as I can." View weakly respond later.

"So you agree that you make me lie P'View?" Bonnie intended to ease up the air, bad timing.
"I'm not done with you, Bon, lying to my face. I know something is off when you say that you guys fall out of contact." Mim sarcastically quotes.
"I'm purely just a victim Mim, you know how persuasive P'View is."

The trio quietly sipped their drinks, finding amusement in the scene before them.

"We've tried to warn her, but P' is taking the job for her future." Prim telling on View.
TuLove looks shocked at her words while View wishes she had the power to evaporate. Prim shrugs, she knew Mim wouldn't have a problem with it, and she was right.

"Ah, I've imagined your future would be taking over your parent's bakery rather than being an employee under your ex, P'." Mim chuckles slightly, feeling bewildered by the situation.

View doesn't know how to react, Mim has changed so much. It's not just that she's now the CEO, her boss.
It's the confidence, the dominance in her presence radiates so strongly that it steals the breath from View's lungs.

Mim's maturity hits differently. She has always been beautiful, but today she's captivating without trying. Her effortless charm works on TuPrim very well as they seem completely at ease, wrapping in conversations with her.

Needless to say, she's sexy yet still everything View had fallen in love with before, if not more. Being in the same proximity with Mim after five years is stirring up all kinds of emotions in View. She can't tell if it's old feelings resurfacing or something entirely new.

Including Mim, they all wait but there's no response afterwards.

View has frozen in place, which is understandable even Bonnie is taken aback by Mim's boldness.

Bonnie received looks from Prim first, then Love, with Tu also sending her a message through their eyes.

Clearing her throat Bonnie smiled.
"Our new drinks haven't arrived, let me go see what's taking so long." She quickly stands up.

This little plan of hers couldn't fool anyone, especially her best friend. Mim is close to rolling her eyes.
"I will go with you." Prim comes to Bonnie's side.
"We need to make a trip to the restroom." Love linked arms with Tu. On a count of three, they walked out of the room.

The four horsemen have successfully sent signals to each other and execute the plan perfectly to leave ViewMim alone.

-------

When they're the only two left in the room, View blood pressure spikes, while Mim remains relaxed, casual, as if she's at home.
....
....
....

"I think we shouldn't waste their efforts P'View." Mim says, her eyes fixed with interest on the liquid in her glass.

View didn't dare to look at her for too long.
"I... um, how... how are you?" That's the only thing she can think of.

Mim chuckles.
"We've already gone through all those questions P'View."
Each "P'View." From Mim drive View crazy.
"Do you still talk to my parents P'?"
View shakes her head no.
"The last time I talked to them was when I asked for their permission to work in Mimetta." View gulped down her drink in one go.

"Permission?" Mim smiles adoringly at View.
"Yes, I don't want to give them the wrong idea."
"That's inevitable."
"I know, that's why I'm glad Bonnie is your assistant."
"Perhaps if you had asked me, the story would be a lot different." Mim sends a tiny smirk at the older girl.

View's hand is shaking, she almost drops the drink on herself.
"I don't know if that's good or bad." Her voice comes out timidly.

Mim shrugs.
"It depends on my mood back then P', I do hope that you haven't deleted my number?"
"Oh, no, I haven't." Only the contact name was changed.
"You can't bring yourself to do it hmm?"
View has no comment, she's trying her best to adapt to "CEO" Mim, but who knows she might as well crumble on the floor later.

"I know you send baked goods to my house already P'View." Mim calmly shifted the conversation.
"Yeah... I get the address from Bonnie."
....
"Why, P'? You've been consistently sending them for years."
"It's not for bribing my parents was it?"
"Gosh, absolutely not!" View is shocked and a bit offended by Mim's words.
"Your parents don't even like sweets."
"I send it because.... because you like eating it." View sounds like a sad puppy, cornered by Mim's direct questions.

"What if my taste changes? And you send them even when I'm not here."
"I could've paid for them whenever I want to eat it."
View silent at Mim's attack, before asking what seems to have nothing to do with their conversation.
"Was it?"
"?"
"Your taste."
".. No but you get the point." Mim flushed.

"I don't know why I keep sending them. Maybe it's a hard to drop off habit."
"It's not much anyway, only once a month, for.."
"Special occasions. Me coming home is special occasion, P'?" Mim smiles, catching View's eyes.
"You wish, it just happens to be the delivery day." She replied, keeping a straight face.

It was half the truth, View sent them early that day.

"Hmm, I must be lucky then. Thank you for the desserts P'View."
"They still taste exactly like old days."
They each let out quiet sighs at the mention of the past.

"Did you bring home a girlfriend?" View drinks slowly under Mim's burning gaze, and finally a clear question from View.

"Nope." Short answer.
"That's strange, there must be a line waiting to court you, no?"
Mim snort.
"Oh, trust me, there is a line P'View, but their desires are not important, mine was." She winked.

View is flabbergasted, even in her wildest dream. She never imagined she'd one day be discussing with her ex about her love life.

"Bonnie said earlier that the party is wild, so I thought." View's feeling the heat. She hopes her face is not red or it might be embarrassing.
"It is wild, but flings are just flings after all." Mim switches from her empty glass to drink from Bonnie's.

View only paid attention to the fact that Mim has flings, not one, not two but plural.

"What about you, P'View? Any women or men steal your heart, yet?" Mim asked curiously. She wondered if View still leaned more toward women or if she'd found some kind of balance between both.

It doesn't matter to Mim who View ends up with at the end of the day, as long as she's happy.

"Recently? No, there were some dates but nothing too serious." She didn't mention any gender because to her, the other person's gender was never the reason things didn't work.

Mim nods. She doesn't care whether it's a woman or a man. Whoever gets to go on dates with View is already the luckiest person.
"You're still young P'."
"Almost thirty is not very young, Mim." View chuckles.

"Well, I don't know about others, but I always have a thing for older women."
"Besides, you still have it P'View, still a heartthrob."
View feels her heart racing. She's sure her face must be insanely red by now.

"I heard you stayed there for one more year before coming back?"
"Ah, I didn't know Bonnie told you that as well."
Mim appears to be carefully considering her answer.

"It's okay, you don't have to tell me anything."
"It's nothing, P'View. There was someone there I wanted to bring home."
"But it didn't work out, last minute."
....

"Do you miss it?"
"Not really. There are lots of people I care about here, also... I kinda miss your desserts." Mim sucks in a breath, confessing gently.

View eyes pop wide open, she needs to check if Mim actually means it. Only to find the younger girl completely sincere, just maybe a little tipsy.

"I..." View swallowed in her words when they were interrupted by a loud bang on the door coming with muffled swears.
Mim smiled, leaning her head back to gaze at the ceiling.
"You guys can come in." She yelled out.

The door opens. There stands Bonnie with the trio behind her, they're clearly eavesdropping.

"Real smooth Bonnie."
Bonnie catches her best friend's sarcastic smile.
"I didn't hear anything, Mim. I was just passing by."
"Where's our drinks then?"
The four are all empty hands.
"There's a very long line at the bar P'View" Prim successfully answered.

"You guys want to explain?" View direct the question at the oldest girls.
"You know how the restroom at bars was, very long line too." Love answers nonchalantly like she's not just gotten caught red-handed.

Bonnie couldn't hold back her laughter anymore, she started coughing to hide it.

Once they've settled back in, the drinks came quicker than ever.

From then on, Mim did nothing but knock back shots, while View watches in growing worry. She wants to reach across the table and stop Mim from poisoning herself, but she wasn't in the position to do so, not anymore.

_____

Half past midnight, when everyone is in their hazy, alcohol infused minds. Love announced that it was time to call it a night and go home.

"Mim, are you okay?" Bonnie taps on Mim's shoulder but only hears her grunt.
"She had drank too much."
"You think?" View's voice is a bit harsher than intended.
"Why don't you stop her, Bonnie?"

"P'View." "She has had a rough day, okay? So I want her to relax and enjoy herself a bit." Bonnie isn't a fan of being told how to care for Mim.

"Okay, let's not raise our voices and get her home. She has work tomorrow, right?" Tu stepped in.
Bonnie nods as she pulls Mim up to her chest.
"How do we do this?"
"Well, I drove you guys here, so I'll drop you guys home."

Love asks the younger girl.
"I remember that you can't drive right, Bonnie?"
"And calling a taxi now is not safe." Prim looked worried.
"Yes, actually, I need a favor."
"What is it?"
"I want to entrust you guys with getting Mim home safely."
"That's no problem, what about you?"
"I already called my girlfriend. She's on her way." Bonnie scratched her head.
"Girlfriend? Since when?" View can't believe it she works from home for two weeks, and now Bonnie has a girlfriend?

"If you showed up at the company, you'd know P'."
View rolls eyes at Bonnie's cheeky answer.
"I thought you were pursuing Prim?"
Prim's laughter echoes through the parking lot.
"I'm honored to be your celebrity crush, Bonnie."
The girl still blushes at Prim.

"You can trust us, don't worry. We will take good care of her." Love took Mim from Bonnie's arms.
"Thank you so much P'. Goodnight and drive safe, P'View."
"Of course." View eyes are stuck on Mim.

They bid goodbyes to each other, then waited until Bonnie got in the car and out of sight before walking to View's car.

Sitting inside, with Love in the passenger seat, and TuPrim sit in the backseat holding Mim, who is lying across their laps.

"How is she?" View ask.
"Sleeping soundly like a princess."
Tu sends a reassuring smile at View, calming down her worries.
"She's very pretty, P'View." Prim pokes Mim's cheek.
"She is."
"How was your conversation earlier?"
"I'm still alive, so I guess it went well."
"Good, now you can finally sleep at night." Tu said in a half joking tone, making everyone crack up.

"She did change a lot, didn't she?" Love looks over her shoulder at Mim. View nods in agreement.
"Yeah, there's something more regal about her now."
"But she's still wholesome too, in a way that only Mim can do." View adds proudly, her eyes resting on Mim's sleeping face.
