i'm so nervous right now writing an omegaverse. please correct me if i'm wrong because i totally am not experienced in omegaverse—

in a world where everyone are deemed to be under in three categories; alpha, beta, and omega.

chenle hated the fact that alphas ruled the world. with their dominant aura, demanding tones, and not to mention their built figures. chenle didn't despise the alphas, he just hated how it had to be like that, he hated the idea of how alphas should be like that. plus, how can he hate alphas when his ex boyfriend is one? back to where this was going, alphas are the strongest in among these three categories. unless, there's a beta who can beat that which is most likely not possible.

to make a pure blooded alpha, two alphas had to mate. a pure blooded alpha was rare to be seen considering that not all alphas were given the gift to bear a child. and unluckily (or fortunately in some aspects) for chenle, he just had a pure blooded alpha as his ex boyfriend. to make a short description about his boyfriend; he's quite sweet, caring, and sometimes would go to the point of breaking a vacuum cleaner if he gets jealous. nonetheless, chenle loved him.

it was the alpha's family he did not.

as where this was going, beta is next in line. they are often called as the 'norms' and chenle honestly thought donghyuck's boyfriend would belong here. to his surprise, the tanned male's boyfriend is actually an alpha. that will forever be a secret kept for himself because he knew he'd have his grave teaser pics released once donghyuck finds out about chenle thinking that mark is a beta.

betas are pretty much like humans. chenle would actually rather be a beta than an omega, they'd do better in the society. they get to live normal lives without having to suffer a heat cycle, nor a rut cycle. they can also impregnate omegas, but not alphas. it was better than nothing though and like what chenle just said, he'd prefer to be a beta rather than an omega.

lastly, an omega. it would be determined the moment you were born, or for some they'd know it during their late adolescence. that's what chenle is and his two other panicked friends are. an omega is at the very bottom of the food chain, where betas and alphas go after them. that may sound like a vip privilege but to chenle, it's not. they are treated like they were disabled (not generalizing it since some omegas are treated much normally depending on the situation), spoiling them with things, treating them as if they were the weakest. what chenle hated the most in being an omega is their heat cycle. it's like a girl's menstrual period every month but worse.

speaking of heat cycle, that was how chenle got caught by his ex boyfriend that he was an omega. his boyfriend was expected to be in a relationship with another alpha, thus making chenle cover up his scent. surprisingly, he got to do it for a full year. until his alpha decided to visit him during his heat period.

remembering it made chenle's head hurt, how can he just leave him there while he was in the middle of his heat? damn, the alpha could have at least be with his side to comfort him and calm him down. but no, he just had to break up with him while he was in his heat and leave him there to suffer.

❝as i was saying,❞ donghyuck started, getting chenle off from his pile of thoughts. ❝you're broke yet you're buying a lot of suppressants to cover up your scent?❞

renjun scrunched his nose as he took one from the basket that chenle was holding. ❝seriously, this would come to no use once your heat visits you.❞

❝if that happens..❞ chenle stood there for a second to think before giving the two omegas a bright smile, ❝i'll find my way out of the campus and run to you guys.❞

staring at chenle, both donghyuck and renjun had facepalmed at the younger's stupid plan. running out from the campus might be possible but chenle wouldn't be able to do that during his heat. heck, he can't even walk out of his room whenever it's his time to suffer. he just get to call either donghyuck and renjun over to take care of him.

chenle rolled his eyes at how the two were looking like he lost hope for him. ❝come on, aren't you guys happy that i actually got in? it's either their standards were too low or i'm just worthy to be there.❞ the chinese said as he shrugged. ❝it's a prestigious school so it's probably the latter.❞

he lied being an alpha but chenle didn't lie about his achievements when he submitted the application form for that school. it was the main reason why he got the scholarship in the first place.

❝this can't be happening.❞ donghyuck took hold of the younger's basket to stop him from moving forward and paying for those suppressants. ❝i won't allow you to take a step foot there.❞

sighing, chenle faced them as he crossed his arms. ❝well, any great ideas?❞

renjun nodded his head, ❝go back home and apologize to your parents.❞ but his suggestion wasn't accepted by chenle.

chenle had a valid reason as to why he ran away from home. he honestly missed getting spoiled by his parents' money, living in a mansion, being served by maids, and letting everyone else do the job for you. but he couldn't take the lifestyle of being controlled by his own parents, which is why he ran away. seeing that he hasn't been found makes him conclude that neither of his parents ever cared for him. they didn't even probably bother searching for him.

❝i won't do that.❞ hearing the two being silent, he took that as an answer. ❝okay then, going to that prestigious school it is.❞

suddenly, an idea came in to donghyuck's head that can possibly stop chenle from going. ❝what if he will be there, chenle? he'll find out and tell them that you're an omega?❞

❝he won't.❞ chenle knew that the tanned male was referring to his ex boyfriend. ❝and if he will be there then i can just hide or ignore him.❞ easier said than done.

that made renjun snort, not really believing that the younger could do it. ❝please, i bet my ass that you still love him.❞

❝first, that's just a cheap bet.❞ that comment made renjun raise a fist but donghyuck was there to stop him from throwing it at chenle. ❝second, there's this thing called moving on.❞

donghyuck shook his head, still in disbelief that this really is the chenle they knew. ❝you're digging your own grave.❞

❝or, building my own empire.❞ chenle wiggled his brows at the older as he started to walk first towards the counter with the two following behind him. four years might be pretty long but chenle was excited to finish his years there and start a business of his own, showing to his parents that he can stand alone without them and without needing their help.

renjun caught up with the younger, walking right next to him. ❝how about our school? you can go there and—❞

❝is any of you willing to pay the expenses for me?❞ with his tracks halted, he turned around to face them. the two looked at each other before having their heads lowered and mumbling a no. ❝see? i'm finding a solution to my own problem.❞

❝chenle, at least find someone who can protect you there.❞ both renjun and donghyuck were just worried for their friend's state.

the younger had nodded his head as he placed the basket down the counter to be scanned by the cashier who, chenle guessed, was a beta. ❝i'll try to make a friend.❞

it may not seem like it but chenle is actually grateful to have them as friends. they might scold him most of the time but he knew it was only for his own good. also, they weren't that much of pusher where they'd force chenle into something. although, chenle guessed that he almost pressed their buttons this time.

with a reassuring smile, he looked at the two. ❝come on, be happy for me.❞

❝we are.❞

donghyuck nodded at renjun's answer. ❝but it's an all-alpha—❞

❝i'll find a way to it.❞ chenle paid for his expenses before taking the plastic bag and carrying it. ❝for now, follow me.❞

❝where are we going?❞

❝i was scheduled to get my uniform for that school today.❞

the three stood there with their jaws dropped. it was just a branch of store from the school chenle applied for yet this looked twice— no, five times larger than his own apartment. then again, his apartment is not that big. but the fact that this boutique looked like a whole damn mall still surprised them.

it actually made chenle excited to go to their campus.

❝is there a slot available for that school?❞ donghyuck mumbled, eyes still on the boutique right in front of them. ❝i'm considering in coming with you.❞

sure, they were astonished to see such boutique looking like a mall but renjun couldn't help but nudge the tanned male beside him because of what he said. ❝you won't be facing not just my wrath but also mark's.❞

with the shorter mentioning his boyfriend, donghyuck shivered at the thought of how mark would do more than scold him if he does something stupid like go to an all-alpha institution. seeing how the tanned male freeze from his place made chenle snort loudly, catching their attention.

❝sucks to have a boyfriend, huh hyung?❞ he said, making donghyuck roll his eyes.

❝let's just go inside and get that uniform of yours.❞ just as he was about to take a step forward, he turned to the younger and gave him a smirk. ❝chenle, i also swallow.❞

both the chinese gagged at the tanned male's comment. it was like that for a minute before they finally decided to get inside the boutique with renjun complaining about how the two were getting dirtier thoughts and comebacks after they had been in a relationship. well, he can't relate with them since he really had no plans no be in a relationship soon.

not like no one had caught his attention but just the thought of being committed to that person for the rest of your life scared him. what if he loses feelings? what if he falls out of love? what then? questions like that would always haunt him down whenever he tends to like someone.

❝excuse me?❞ chenle called out from the counter, catching a female's attention. with subtle sniffing, the chinese guessed that the woman handling by the desk was an alpha.

despite for her being curious as to why there were omegas inside the boutique, she still managed to put up a polite smile. ❝may i help you?❞

❝i came here to get my—❞ chenle trailed off when he realized that he forgot to cover up his scent. if she would find out about an omega like him going to their school, he's fucked. mustering up with a smile, chenle continued. ❝brother's uniform.❞

it was another stupid excuse of chenle that both donghyuck and renjun held back the urge to bury their faces down to their palms.

the woman then nodded her head, ❝may i get the name?❞

❝zhong chenle.❞ the omega answered, hoping that she was convinced that he was really there to get his brother's uniform even though he really doesn't have any.

the three then watched the woman go out from the counter and walk to a specific room for authorized personnels. while waiting, renjun caught chenle's and donghyuck's attention as he was squirming from his place. the omegas raised their brows at the chinese and renjun could only let out a whine.

❝i really need to pee.❞ he told them, face turning red as he knew they weren't in a proper place to say that.

donghyuck groaned, ❝you could have said that a while ago when we were still at the mall.❞

chenle wanted to tease the older but he could see that he badly wanted to let it out. scanning the boutique, the youngest of the three saw a door that had an obvious sight placed right beside the door. ❝there's a restroom over there.❞

the shorter followed his eyes as to where chenle was pointing at and then went back to looking at them, giving them his threatening look he could pull off. ❝don't leave me, alright?❞

as they watched renjun walk carefully towards the restroom, the two waited for the shorter to get inside before looking at each other and letting out a mischievous laugh. they had knowing looks on as they already had knew what they were planning and they didn't need to say it to each other.

with the woman coming back bring one pair of their uniform, she walked back to the counter and gently placed the uniform down the top. she didn't mind the two that were still giggling at each other. ❝tell your brother that the other pair is already placed inside the school's dormitory. for now, he is provided with one he can use for the first day of classes.❞

donghyuck gasped silently as he stared at chenle who looked calm but he knew that deep inside he was freaking out. ❝you'll be living in a dorm?❞ he whispered on the omega's ears.

the chinese shrugged, filling up the form with ease as he replied back with a whisper. ❝the perks, i told you.❞

perks? donghyuck scoffed. how is an omega living in an alpha's dormitory one of the perks? the only perk living in the dormitory is probably how modern and expensive looking the dorm is. other than that, there's nothing that chenle should be happy of.

getting the form that chenle passed her, she wrote something and raised her head to face the omega. ❝may i ask your name?❞

chenle widened his eyes and turned to donghyuck who's also pausing from his place. he gulped down and nudged the tanned male for help. seeing that donghyuck had no plans to speak, that leaves chenle no choice but to make up a name. ❝zhong..❞

he wanted to use renjun's name but he was too early to die.

he couldn't think of a name with all the pressure on him. the alpha's gaze on him wasn't even helping and donghyuck isn't speaking.

would jason be a good name?

chenle sighed, he had no choice anyways. it's not like they'll check his information sheet to see if he really had a brother, would they? chenle hoped they won't. he then opened his mouth to say the name he made up inside his head but was cut off by the tanned male who got ahead of him.

❝jisung!❞ donghyuck suddenly raised his voice, making both the woman and chenle flinch. he then let out a nervous chuckle, ❝his name is zhong jisung.❞
