I tap my fingers on my table. I'm just here, staring blankly on my laptop waiting for mom to call. I've been waiting all day for this time to come.

This afternoon Ali, once again called. And our call lasted for 36 minutes. It's her telling me stuffs about modeling. At mga bilin na rin such as 'wag ko daw sila kakalimutan kapag sikat na ako.

I would just laugh and chuckled when she said that. As if I'm gonna forget them. Hindi pa nga kami nagpapasa or nag a-apply. Pero sabi sakin ni Ali ay ready naman na daw. Nakapili na sila ni Lory ng mga pictures na gagamitin for different agencies.

To be honest, Ali and Lory are the ones into this kinds of things. Lory have the body and beauty and she also told us once that she's supposed to do modeling back then. But I guess something came up and that didn't happen.

While in Ali, it's the body size. Ali isn't that fat, she's thick and healthy. She's a plus size, yes. But she's really good when it comes to fashion and bringing of the clothes. It just happens that even she's some sort of confident. There's still stopping her from applying in agencies. But once I heard she tried, but sadly she didn't passed.

My head snap on my laptop's direction. My eyes widened and I immediately answered mom's call.

[Hey Kass, how's your day?] Mom ask.. I smiled and just nodded my head slowly.

"Great mom.. I'm good." I said smiling, mom smiled back.

[So, how's your stay at your friends house?] Mom ask.. I smiled and nod.

"It's great mom.. we had a lot of fun. It's great!" I said and mom nod.

[So.. anong balak mo this summer? You know you can go here and stay here for summer.] Mom said and I scrunched up my nose.

Eh, Australia? I don't really have friends there. I don't even know anyone. I'll probably just stay at mom's house. So no.

"No thanks mom.. I actually.. have something to ask to you." I hesitantly said. Mom lean closer on the screen..

[Sorry Laura, what? Ang hina ng signal, repeat sweetie.] Mom said, I took a deep breath.

"I want to ask you something. For permission." I said..

Mom nodded. [Go on..] she replied..

I took another deep breath. "So when we're at Ali's house, we took some photos, like photoshoot. But their is like a kind of just a game. But my pictures.. turn out pretty nice. So.. now I'm asking if I can.. apply to agencies as model?" I said, I look at mom's expression. I'm trying to read her face but I can't. It's hard to read mom's expression, just like me.

Mom's eyes slowly widened. [Oh my! Really Kass? Yes! Of course Kass! Saan bang agency 'yan? Do you need help? You need clothes? I'll buy you a lot! What do you need? Tell me Kass. You know I really want you joining that kind of stuffs. I'll always support you.] Mom excitedly said. I laugh at mom's reaction.

"Not yet sure mom.. magpapasa palang sila Ali at Lory. They will be the one helping me. Can we.. hangout here tomorrow and the following days. We need to talk about the application." I said and mom nodded.

[Of course sweetie, tell your lola to tell the maids na ipaghanda kayo bukas. Okay?] Mom said and I nodded.

Just like the time I ask my mom about the school pageant, she started talking about modeling. She told me that she wants to see me in the stage, modeling for Victoria Secret or Chanel. She told me she wants to see me in billboards. She wants me to be a supermodel just like what she see in Australia.

She already imagine seeing me in the newspapers and news. Even paparazzi, she told me I should be careful when I become famous since paparazzi that are invading my privacy is everywhere.

When we finished talking, it's almost 10pm. So I shut down my phone and hop on my bed. I grab my phone. I go to my Messenger and open our group chat. The last message was still back in our graduation.

I call for a group call. And waited for them to join. It's Ali who first join.

[Hoy! Ano na?! Naka-usap mo na si tita? Gaga may mga nahanap pa akong agency! Huyyy!] Ali said, I just watch her shake her camera and just laugh at her.

Then Lory joined.

[Hmm? So anong sabi ni tita? May nahanap akong modeling school sa Lucena. I have the contacts na.] Lory said..

[Mag mo-modeling class pa si Laura? Pwede naman na hindi na. Well.. maybe? Her walk?] Ali said.. I look at Lory.. she shrug.

[Its up to her.. kung modeling na sa mga brochure and posters. Maybe she doesn't need to learn her walk. But if runway model. She needs it.] Lory said and I nodded.

I couldn't agree more. I really need to learn my walk. I may have that straight body posture. But I know my walk is still in its nutshell.

[HOY MGA TAO! ANO NA?!] My eyes widened when Gwen suddenly joined the call and scream.

"Gwen, sigaw nang sigaw." I scolded.. Lory and Ali laughed.

Gwen looked at her camera. [Sorry po.. tao lang-

[Ay weh? Tao ka?] Ali immediately cut Gwen off. Gwen's eyes widened.

[Tumahik ka! Ikaw nga mukhang galon ng tubig!] Gwen backfired, we started laughing through the call. Then Tobi suddenly joined.

[Bakit kayo tumawag? May pinapanood ako eh.] Tobi said scratching his eyes.

[Ano pinapanood mo?] Lory asked with a teasing smirk.

Tobi's eyes widened. [Parang tanga 'to! BL kasi! BL Series! Hindi ano..] Tobi said before rolling his eyes.

Gwen smiled, creepily. [Ano? Hindi Ano?] she teasingly asked.

Tobi's mouth gapped a little . [Porn! Hindi kasi ako nanonood  nun!] Tobi exclaimed and we started laughing.

[Ay weh? Hindi halata. Mukhang nanonood ka eh.] Ali teased, Tobi once again rolled his eyes.

[So bakit nga? Sino ba ang tumawag?] Tobi ask..

"Me.. may sasabihin lang ako." I said and Tobi nodded.

[Si Jax hindi natin hihintayin?] Ali asked..

[Naku! Tulog na 'yung babaeng 'yon for sure.] Gwen said and we started laughing. When the laugh lie low I, I lick my lower lips and take a deep breath.

"I talked with mom about sa modeling.." I started..

I flinched as I hear a loud gasped.

[Uuuuy! Ga! Apilibalalkada! Ano sabi?! Uyy! Gaga! Anong sabiii?!?!] Ali blabbered, we all looked at her confused and shock.

[Putragis Alejandra, alas diyes ng gabi tumahimik ka! Patapusin mo si Kassandra!] Gwen said and I chuckle..

Ali fixes her hair. [Sige.. go on mahar!] Ali said and I nodded..

I lick my lower lip. "Mom gave me the permission to join. She's so happy about it that she ask me if I need something." I announced.. then in a second Ali is out of the screen and we heard thuds over and over again.

[Putragis nabaliw na si Alejandra!] Gwen said and we burst into laughter.

Then Ali came back to the screen..

[Katakot ka Ali!] Tobi exclaimed.. Ali's hair is messed up and she's sweating so bad.

[Na excite ako bigla! Kailan ba natin ipapasa 'yung mga picture? Maganda na this summer may kumuha na agency kay Laura.] Ali said panting.

Lory nodded. [Oo nga.. so kailan mo ba gusto Laura?] Lory ask.. I adjusted my phone in my hand.

"I already ask mom kung pwede kayo dito pumunta bukas. And pwede daw.. after lunch, pumunta tayo dito para makapag apply na tayo." I said and they nodded..

[Paano si Jax?] Ali ask..

Gwen scoffed. [Sabihan nalang natin bukas ng umaga. I'm sure online na 'yun bukas.] Gwen said and Ali nodded.

[Kakayanin kaya ng hapon lang?] Lory ask.. I look on my wall and started thinking.

I shrug. [Hanggang ilang araw naman ang paalam ko. So kahit hindi natin matapos bukas.] I said and Lory nodded..

[Kinabahan ka Laura?] Tobi ask.. I look at him.

I pout a little. "Not really.. I don't know. Yes?" I said and Ali snorts.

[Not Really, tapos I don't know, Pero sa huli yes? Galeng!] She sarcastically said and we laughed at it.

['Wag kang kabahan. Si Gwen nga model din.] Lory said. I look at Gwen.

[Hoy hindi ah! Echos lang 'yon ng nanay ko! 'Yung mga pa design niyang damit sa tito ko tapos ipapatahi niya. Tapos ipasusuot sa akin tapos pi-picturan ako. 'Yun lang.. iba naman 'yung kay Laura.] Gwen explained and we nodded.

[We can help you with your walk naman, Lau. We can be your trainers.] Ali said and I smiled.

"Thanks.. I'm actually a little excited about it. Dahil sa mga sinabi ni mom. Now I'm like Ali." I said and Ali furrowed her brows.

[Bakit naman?] she confusedly ask..

I chuckled. "Remember 'Yung mga sinasabi mo sa amin? 'Yung sa imaginary world mo? Na gusto mong mag doctor then you have your own office. Then may bedroom sa office mo. Then magkikita kita tayo and party kapag hindikayo busy." I explained.. Ali gasped..

[Oy gaga 'wag kang ganiyan! Nag i-imagine na tuloy ako! Ano ba 'yan! 'Yan tuloy! Nasa isip ko ngayon nasa bedroom ko ako sa office ko- ah ah! Kassandra! Kainis ka!] Ali whined and we started laughing.

[Matulog ka nalang Alejandra! Mabuti pa.] Gwen said.. Ali pout on the screen.

[Wala na bang ibang sasabihin si Laura?] Ali ask and I shake my head.

[Ah okiee goodnight! Bye!] Ali said before leaving the call. We bid goodbye to each other and ended the call.

I sigh and put down my phone on my night stand table. I switch the light off and drift to sleep.

I woke up around 8am. I pick up my phone and I check my socials first.Socials, yes those apps are useless to me except messenger. I have Facebook and Instagram but I don't have any post. I also have twitter that doesn't have any single tweet. But I still have followers, and the majority of them are male.

I took a bath and slip on some comfy shorts and shirt. I went down and ate breakfast alone since lola and the maids already ate. I finished eating around 9:45am. I went out to our yard and sat down on a bench under a tree.

Gladly the internet connection is still good out here. I want to breath some fresh air instead of air conditioned one.

I search some famous runway models here in the Philippines. And also brochure models and any other kind of models. It's always the body that first caught my attention. They have sexy, and slim bodies. Which made me a bit insecure.

Around 11am Lola called me for lunch. We ate together this time. I also informed lola about my friends coming. She told me she'll be making some snacks which I'm thankful.

We finished eating by 12pm. I went upstairs to my room and took a body wash. I slip on some black leggings and printed white shirt. I'm scrolling to my YouTube account when lola knock from my door saying someone's already here.

I bet it's Ali.

And I'm not wrong, when I open my door Ali is behind lola. I let her in and close the door. She walk directly to my bed and sat on the edge of it.

"Magkasabay si Lory at Gwen. On the way an si Jax at paalis na si Tobi sa bahay nila." She said and I nodded.

We are just silent for 5 minutes. She's using her phone and I have nothing to say. The atmosphere isn't awkward but it is silent.

Few minutes later and someone knock on my door.

I stand up. "Si  Jax 'yan." Ali said and I shrug.

And she's right, when I open the door, Jax stood there. Smiling while waving her hands to me. She looks like a lost kid which made me chuckle.

She enter and walk directly towards Ali. She sat beside her and watch what is Ali doing on her phone.

"Malapit na si Tobi. Nadaan ko kanina, naka tricycle ako naka bike siya." Jax said and I just nodded.

Us three just silently sat there. Using our phones and minding our own business.

When suddenly someone banged the door that made us all flinched. I stand up from my bed.

"Si Gwen 'yon." Jax said and I nodded while I hear Ali laughed. When I open the door Gwen immediately went inside which surprised me.

"Kanina pa sila?" Lory ask and I nodded.

"Oh? Kasabay niyo si Tobi?" Jax ask..

Lory nodded "Pag tigil nung tricycle sa tapat ng bahay ni Laura. Dumating na rin si Tobi. Kaya nagkasabay kami." Lory explained and i nodded.

"So.. start na tayo?" Ali ask and we nodded.

We start on the first agency Ali saw. Its located in Manila. Its an average company. Not too famous and not that well known. There's already artist here in the Philippines that have a contract in that agency. So we think its a good one. Ali is the one who message the agency and ask for an application paper.

Then next is the second company Ali searched. And by just the building of it we can tell its a big and famous company. There's already a lot of models here. The photos are really good and so are the models. I doubted at first but Lory told me I can do this. So for the second company. Lory is the one who work on it.

When we search the third we immediately didn't like it. So pass.. the fourth one is quite nice but the reviews and quality isn't really good. We also think its not good for me.

The fifth one is nice, Jax volunteers that she will work on. There's just total of 8 agency we can pick on. For the 6th and 7th we didn't really like it. But the 8th one seems nice. So we send an application to that one.

We finished around 3:30pm. We went downstairs and the maids serve our snacks. We happily ate, because Gwen and Ali would fool around each other.

They would laugh and joke about things. Jax and Tobi would join the bickering. While me and Lory just laugh with them.

After we ate we went on our rooftop. Ali ask me to bring a speaker and I did. It's so chilly up here. And it feels good. Ali and Lory were doing some random dances while me and the others are just here using our phones. But Tobi and Jax would join sometimes when they know the song.

When the sunsets Ali immediately went home. Then slowly, they started leaving.

The next day.. was pretty boring for me. Tho I'm an introvert and I like to stay at house. I'm getting tired of my phone.

But gladly Jiro called, he said that he took over time yesterday, and we can meet today. So I excitedly change into a good looking clothes and told lola that I'm going to Lory's.

Which I actually messaged Lory that if someone ask that if I'm with her tell her that I am.

Me and Jiro meet by the park. When we see each other I immediately hugged him.

"You miss me that much?" He teased and I chuckled.. I slowly nod my head.

He reached for my hand.. and our bracelet immediately stick together.

"These really looks cute." Jiro said while looking at or bracelet.

I chuckled. "Yeah it is. Do you want to eat? For dinner? What about your lola? May pagkain ba siya?" I ask.. he laughed and nodded.

"My job.. is really helpful to be honest. Last week I received my salary. And that's the first time I touch that much of money. I immediately bought food for us." He said and I nodded..

We went on a cafe. On the cafe where we first met. When I entered that memory flashback in my mind.

This actually feels nice. It sends shivers to me thinking that in this place is where we first met.

We call for a waitress and give our orders.

I ordered a carbonara and blue lemonade while Jiro ordered spaghetti and just a normal lemonade.

"So.. how's your application?" He ask I smiled awkwardly not sure what to answer.

What should I say? Good? But there's still no results or any replied.

I shrug. "Uh.. good I guess. But there's still no replies yet." I replied and he nodded.

"I know you will get it. You'll get accepted. I believe in you." He said and I smiled..

"Yes.. I wish too.." I said..

I sigh. "But I think no-

"Laura.. don't be like that. You're beautiful. You'll get accepted. Trust me.. you're the most beautiful girl for me." He said and I smiles.

"Stop joking." I said and his eyes widened.

"I'm not! Mukha ba akong nagbibiro?" He ask and I bursted into laughter.

Our foods came  and we started eating. We are not that silent. We are basically laughing and making some noises. Gladly we are the only customers here so it's not really embarrassing. The staffs don't really mind us. So it's fine.

He would tell me some joke, corny jokes to be honest. And me being me, if I don't like the joke I'm not really going to laugh which made Jiro laugh.

He laughs when I don't laugh at his jokes. Weird.

We finished eating and he sent me home. We stopped on a tree far away from the house. I still need to walk but I don't mind. I gave him a hug before I walk to our house.

I told lola I won't be eating anymore so I took another shower and slip on my pajama.

I talked with mom, like usual and she told me she's sending me new clothes and I thanked her.

After that I drifted directly to sleep..

I woke up due to someone calling my phone..

Even I'm still half asleep I pick it up and answer it before pulling it closer to my ear..

"Hello?" I asked with my morning voice..

It's Ali.. she's saying something but due to my half asleep self I can't understand it..

"Pardon? Repeat Ali.. I can't understand." I said yawning..

Ali sigh.. "Gaga... may nag reply na agency.. we need to freaking talk!"
