Summary:
When William James Moriarty starts coughing, he believes he simply caught a cold. He fell ill soon after the Noahtic, after all. It was logical to assume that he caught something from one of the hundreds of passengers.
However, when he starts coughing up blood and flower petals, he decides to finally see a doctor. He's confused and scared, unsure of what could possibly be wrong with him. But when he gets diagnosed with Hanahaki Disease, he has more questions, the most prominent being, who was he even in love with?
As the days progress and the disease slowly eats away at William's lungs, he must face his biggest fear: Sherlock Holmes being the man he's in love with. Sherlock can't be the one he's in love with. How was Sherlock supposed to love him back? William is the Lord of Crime, and Sherlock is the detective trying to catch him.
William must choose between pursuing Sherlock for another chance at life, risking surgery and completely stripping himself of the ability to love, or letting the flowers bloom and strangle every part of him until he takes his final breath.

Khi thời gian trôi qua và căn bệnh dần ăn mòn lá phổi, William buộc phải đối diện với nỗi sợ lớn nhất của mình: Sherlock Holmes có thể là người anh yêu. Nhưng điều đó không thể nào đúng được. Làm sao anh lại yêu Sherlock được? Làm sao Sherlock có thể yêu anh? William là Trùm tội phạm, còn Sherlock là thám tử đang truy lùng anh.

William buộc phải lựa chọn: theo đuổi Sherlock để giành lấy một cơ hội sống — hoặc chấp nhận phẫu thuật để cắt bỏ mọi cảm xúc yêu đương, trở thành một con người lạnh lẽo hoàn toàn. Hay là... cứ để hoa tiếp tục nở rộ và siết chặt lấy anh, cho đến khi anh trút hơi thở cuối cùng.
