Topic 7

This is Part 1 of the test. Let's talk about time management.

1. Do you often miss deadlines or come late for appointments?
No, I rarely miss deadlines or arrive late for appointments. I always try to manage my time effectively because I believe that punctuality shows respect for others. However, there have been a few times when unexpected situations, like traffic jams or last-minute tasks, caused me to be late. In such cases, I always inform the person I'm meeting as soon as possible.

2. Is being on time important to you?
Yes, being on time is very important to me. It helps build a good impression and makes everything run smoothly. Whether it's for school, work, or social events, punctuality reflects responsibility and discipline. Also, being late can cause inconvenience for others, so I always try to be on time.

3. How do you train yourself to be punctual?
I train myself to be punctual by setting reminders and planning my schedule in advance. I always try to leave early to allow extra time in case of unexpected delays. Additionally, I use a planner or a to-do list to keep track of deadlines and appointments. Over time, being punctual has become a habit for me.

Now turn to Part 2. Please turn to the next page of your ticket.
A film I want to talk about with my friends is Detective Conan. It is a Japanese cartoon that I have watched since I was a child. It's about a high school student who becomes a little boy after being poisoned, and he solves crimes to find the people behind it.
I watched some new episodes last month on YouTube. The stories are very interesting, with murder cases, puzzles, and secrets. I always try to guess the criminal before Conan does.
I want to discuss this film with my friends because we all used to watch it when we were younger. Now, I think we can enjoy talking about the old characters and the new cases.

Now turn to Part 3. You've talked about a film/book. Now I'd like to discuss with you some general issues related to this topic.

1. What do you dislike about watching films/reading books?
One thing I dislike about watching films is that some movies change too many details from the original book, making them less meaningful. As for books, I sometimes find long descriptions boring and difficult to get through.

2. How can you compare films and books as English learning resources?
Films are great for improving listening and pronunciation skills, while books help expand vocabulary and enhance reading comprehension. I think a combination of both is the best way to learn English effectively.

3. What changes do you see in people's behavior of watching films/reading books?
Nowadays, people tend to watch more films and read fewer books because movies are more visually engaging and take less time. However, audiobooks and e-books are becoming more popular, making reading more accessible.
