Five
"Jae Hyun, come down here!" she yelled at him, jumping and attempting to reach him like a kid chasing a balloon.
"I... I... can't," he stammered, "I don't... don't know how to... control it."
"Oh shoot," she grumbled and then climbed up onto a table, "Wait a bit. Imma get you down."
"Hey, what are you doing?" he inquired in confusion.
"Just a bit more," Hae Won grunted as she tiptoed to reach Jae Hyun, but she could not. Unable to grab his feet with her hands, she decided to pull him down by the most dangerous way.
"I think you can just... leave me here. I'll eventually fall down so don't worry."
"No," she said and lowered her body, "Just stay still."
Without any hesitation, she jumped off the table and raised her arm high. Able to grab his feet, she managed to pull him down.
"Argghhhh," Jae Hyun screamed out loud in panic as they fell onto the ground. Lucky for Jae Hyun, Hae Won hit the ground first, not him. She was also hugging him tightly to shield him from the collision.
"Hey Jae Hyun," she patted his back, "Your face is touching my... chest."
"Oh crap," he startled, "I... I'm... sorry."
It was not until that moment that Jae Hyun realised he was in close contact with Hae Won. His body was lying above her while they were hugging each other. He began to float again, bit by bit. Lucky for him, his caring friend was there to hold him.
"I... I'm sorry, again..." he averted his eyes to avoid her gaze.
"It...it's fine... Are... are you alright?" she responded with a blushed face.
"I'm fine," he awkwardly looked at her, "Are you alright?"
"Kwaenchana~" she softly chuckled, "I don't get injury that easily, you know?"
"But you still feel pain after all," he said in irritation, "Don't do such dangerous things again. It worries me."
"I won't. Don't worry," she pinched his cheeks and laughed.
"What's so funny?" he peered at her in bewilderment, "In addition, stop pinching my cheeks!"
"Sure," she stood up and extended her hands for him to hold, "By the way, the incident today... let's pretend it never happened, sounds good?"
"Mm-hmm," Jae Hyun nodded his head. He himself also wanted to get everything that had just happened out of his head. However, it was obvious that such an embarrassment was not simple to forget.
Not only was the fall embarrassing, it was also a dead giveaway to Seol Yoon Ah that Jae Hyun had the ability to fly. Her mission was to find out as well as capture all the kids with superpower, and she had just added one more to her tally. The absence of the ankle weights to keep himself on the ground turned out to be really fatal to Jae Hyun, just like what his mother had warned him before.
At the same time, Yoon Ah also began to really suspect Hae Won of having the ability to heal herself. Although many people would be severely injured after such a fall, she seemed completely unharmed. But healing ability was not a power which was easy to spot out. Furthermore, she yet had no way to confirm if Hae Won really had that kind of ability or not.

That night, Yoon Ah called her captain again to report the new finding about Jae Hyun.
"I found another guy with superpower. He's Myeong Jae Hyun from my class. I saw him flying in the classroom today. Though I don't think he can control his ability."
"Well... interesting... So we already have at least three people with superpowers in Seodong High," the captain scoffed.
"Yeah, quite a big number, right?"
"That's more than I expected, to be honest. Good job, Mantis!" the man cackled.
"You don't need to compliment me, " she laughed out loud while spinning her gun with her left hand, "I know that I'm good."
"If you're that good, then can you help me check something?"
"What's that?"
"The boy you just reported, Myeong Jae Hyun," the man mysteriously chuckled and looked at Kang So Hyun's profile, "He can fly, right?"
"Yeah, he can fly."
"Then... lemme see... Can you check up on his mom? I need to know if she's Kang So Hyun or not."
"Why? What if she really is?"
"Delete her," he flatly said.
"Are you ordering me... to kill somebody?" she scoffed, "I know you're my captain, but don't cross the line here. My job is to spot out the individuals with powers, not to get rid of them."
"Aigoo..." the man let out a malignant cackle, "It seems that my Mantis is becoming too empathetic for her enemies right now."
"What do you mean?"
"Remember twenty years ago when our president was assassinated? Kang So Hyun was the leader of the campaign and her husband Myeong Sang Chul was also the vice-leader. Most of my comrades were then executed and only a few people were spared. I would never forget that so even if you don't kill her, we will, eventually. But you're the only one who can find out if that flying kid is really her son, understand it?"
"Fine, whatever,..." she reluctantly accepted the request, "But I won't kill anyone. I'll try to find her. If you wanna kill her, do that yourself."
"In addition, the healing girl in the video, you got her yet?"
"Not yet, I suspect one of my classmates. But I can't be sure so I'm still observing her."
"Sure. Then good luck! I'm hanging up now."
After the talk, the captain called out another of his subordinates in his base for discussion. He was not someone unfamiliar, but the scar-faced man who shot Sang Chul more than a decade ago.
"Hey Colonel Ri, I guess I've got things for you to do."
"Yes, captain Kim."
"I think I'll need you to come to Seodong yourself to look for the students' files."
"What? Why do you need me to do that? I thought agent Seol's taking care of the Seodong High area?"
"Mantis is now spying there. She has been doing well but... the process seems to be a bit slow now so... you gotta help her a bit."
"Copied that, captain!" he stood at attention and saluted his captain.
"Your codename will be Eagle."

After months of tiring classes, the first semester of the year had nearly ended. All the exams had been done and the students were doing nothing but chilling in class while waiting for the results.
"Hey guys, are you all free this Saturday?" Hae Won assembled her friends and asked, including Jae Hyun. "Shall we go for an overnight camping trip?"
All of her friends, Ji Woo, Sung Ho and Yoon Ah agreed with the idea. Meanwhile, Jae Hyun was a bit reluctant at first and refused to go. However, Hae Won successfully persuaded him in the end.
A few suggestions for the destination had been made and eventually, the Geumgang river area was the chosen one. It was not far from Namwon. The river bank was a glorious mountainous area covered by trees and forest, which could not be more perfect to gather with friends and set up a campfire under the dark night sky.
The five friends rode the bus outside of Namwon and hiked up the Cheongbyeok mountain for sightseeing. It was not a long hike but because the route was very steep, all of them were stinking of sweat. The fact that it was in the middle of the summer even made it worse. Not evening reaching one-third of the way to the mountain top, the five friends were completely exhausted. Hence, they decided to come back down to the bottom of the mountain. To set up the camp, they went into the forest to find some wood to make a bonfire and then put up their tents. By the time they finished everything, the sun had already set.
"OK so it's now time for..." Hae Won cheerfully jumped up high, raising her arms above her head, "For our dinner."
"Sure, I'm starving right now," Ji Woo said, holding in her hands a pack of sausages.
"We've got a lot of food here. Let's take all of them out first," Yoon Ah said while checking out the boxes of food they had.
Soon, there were plenty of stuff placed beside the campfire: marshmallows, fruits, fishballs, crackers, and so on.
Gathering besides the fire together, the friends exchanged hearty and playful banter about bunches of things, from school life or current affairs to movie or sports. Hae Won and Sung Ho seemed to be getting on better and better and that truly upset Jae Hyun. For the whole time, Sung Ho had been sitting next to his crush, letting her lean on his shoulder, telling her jokes and even grilling the food for her.
During the cosy dinner, Yoon Ah's eyes began to feel something weird, as if the fire was burning them. At first, she frequently rubbed her eyes but nobody seemed to have noticed. After a while, things began to get clearer when she covered her eyes with her hands while averting her eyes away from the fire.
"Yoon Ah, are you OK?" Ji Woo gently patted her back and asked.
"Ah... I'm fine... it's just... my eyes are a bit sensitive to high temperatures."
"Wait here," Ji Woo said and then left. She retrieved a towel, dampened it with cool water and used it to cover Yoon Ah's eyes, "It's better now?"
"Yeah... thanks, Ji Woo," Yoon Ah chuckled.
The chat between the friends did not end until about eleven when all of them began to feel sleepy, drained after a long day.
Once everyone had retreated to their tents, Jae Hyun discreetly told Sung Ho to meet himself outside. The venue was pretty deep in the jungle, far away from the camping site, so that nobody would see or hear them, especially Hae Won.
"Park Sung Ho, can you help me with one thing?" Jae Hyun flatly said.
"What makes you call me here?" Sung Ho quizzically looked at his friend.
Jae Hyun remained silent for a moment and stared at Sung Ho, a stare which was so intense that Sung Ho felt as if it could fry him.
"Hey, what's the problem with you? You call me out here in the middle of the night just to glare at me like that?" Sung Ho queried in confusion.
"Stop being so close to Hae Won," Jae Hyun said and looked straight into Sung Ho's eyes.
"What? Why should I?
"Because I like her."
