The bully girl was also terrified by her own action, not knowing why she did such a reckless thing. Some of her friends were gaping at them, screaming in an eerie mix of bewilderment and horror while some others were trembling and sweating out of intimidation.

Hae Won collapsed onto the ground, heaving out painful moans for a few moments, and then stood up again. Looking at the bully with her bloodshot eyes, she pulled the knife out. As the slitting sound of the knife sprang to her ears, the bully dropped onto the ground out of shock, crawling backwards and scraping her legs against the concrete floor.

"What... who the f*ck... are you?" she stammered and stared at Hae Won's wounds which miraculously began to seal themselves and the bleeding also gradually stopped.

"You mother*cker," Hae Won put the knife on the bully girl's neck, "You could have just killed somebody, you know?"

Caught off guard by Hae Won's threatening, the bully temporarily lost her sanity, tearing her hair out and screaming uncontrollably. Meanwhile, the friends in her gang could do nothing but helplessly look at the unfolding scene.

"Hey, this is my last warning for all of you," Hae Won pointed the knife outwards and slowly turned to meet the eyes of each bully, "You really don't know what I can do, huh?"

After the warning, Hae Won threw the knife away immediately left, leaving the bullies baffled with countless questions. How could she survive after being stabbed right at the chest like that?

The next day, Hae Won's father and the bully girl's mother were called to school because of the incident. Neither Hae Won nor the girl wanted to admit themselves to be wrong. The girl's mother also showed an extremely uncooperative attitude. Eventually, it was Hae Won's father who took the blame.

"I'm really sorry for what my daughter did," he offered her an apologetic nod, "It isn't her fault, it's me who couldn't teach her well enough."

"Dad, you did nothing wrong," Hae Won pulled her father's arm and said in irritation, "You and I, we did nothing wrong. Shouldn't they say sorry to us right now?"

"You barely had a single scratch. What about my precious daughter? Look at her, isn't she more severely injured? Apologise to her, right now!" the mother banged the table and yelled at Hae Won.

"I won't, what are you gonna do?" Hae Won retorted and stood up.

"I apologise, on behalf of her," her father pushed her shoulder down and said, "My daughter it's a bit stubborn so it's a bit hard to make her apologise now. I'll try to talk to her at home."

"Huh," the mother scoffed and glared at Hae Won, and then turned to her father, "At least you have some manners so I'll let this slide. But make sure that your daughter doesn't pose any danger to others."

"Sure, I will," Hae Won's father said, "But can you and your daughter tell everyone who witnessed the incident...to keep it as a secret, please?"

"Why do we do that? She hurt my baby badly. And now you want us to keep it as a secret?"

"I just...don't want things to escalate."

"OK," the bully girl said. "I don't want things to escalate either. We should forget her, right mom?"

"Fine, then let's keep it a secret," the mother said and grabbed her daughter's arm, "Let's leave, darling! Stay away from that monster."

Meanwhile, Hae Won was gritting her teeth and fixing her eyes onto the ground, trying to hold back her anger. If it was not for her father's good, she would have torn the bully off.

"Dad, I'm sorry," she softly said as she hopped into her father's truck, the one he used to deliver cartels for a living.

"It's fine, I understand why you did that," her father smiled at her.

"But...I got you into trouble, I..." she started sobbing as her father stroked her hair.

"Don't cry! You did the right thing," her father sniggered, "I'm proud that my daughter grew up to be a righteous girl."

"But dad, why did you have to do that? You did not need to blame yourself for all of those."

"It's to protect you," he sighed.

"What do you mean?"

"You really...have that power. You can heal yourself just like me. I've doubted that since I found out you survived that accident and I'm really convinced now. If anyone finds out that you have the same ability as me, you may be in danger. So I needed to do that to persuade her to keep it a secret."

As Hae Won listened to her father's words, her tears gushed out even more. She recalled the car accident ten years ago, after which her mother passed away. Hae Won was severely injured after the car crash, but she still managed to get out of it. Her mother was not that lucky though. She could not escape and died when the car exploded. The last thing Hae Won remembered about her mother was her smile right at the moment before she died. The clueless daughter had never known the meaning behind that smile. Now she knew it: her mother was relieved that she had the healing power inherited from her father. From that on, Hae Won's father had always tried his best to raise his daughter. He did that well. The more Hae Won thought about all those things, the more she cried.

But there was one thing Hae Won could not comprehend: why did they have to keep moving, just like they were trying to run from something? That was fathomable as she never knew that her father, Oh Ju Won, was an ex-agent, just like Jae Hyun's parents.

******

Both Hae Won and her father thought that things had been settled, a problem bothered them again. A student in the school had recorded a video of the fight between Hae Won and the bully gang. To attract more viewers, she posted the video on social media. Although the faces were all blurred, she was still forced to delete it by the school as the school managers were afraid that it would damage the school's reputation.

It did not help too much though. The post had been online for a few hours and that was long enough for it to become a topic for gossip. People had been going wild about who was the "invincible" girl in the footage and all Hae Won could do was nothing more than hoping that nobody would find out.

That evening after school, Hae Won and Jae Hyun went to the sport hall together. Hae Won said that she needed somebody to help her with her training.

"Hey Hae Won, can I ask you something?" Jae Hyun said as he put his backpack down onto the bench.

"What?" Hae Won inclined her head.

"The girl in the video," his lips were puckered for a few seconds, "That's you, right?"

"What...what do...you mean? Why do you th..." she stuttered, taken aback by Jae Hyun's question.

"It's just...my feeling, you seem weird whenever anybody brings up the topic about that girl."

"Of course no! What are you even thinking?"

"You sure?" he peered at her.

"Yes, I am," she said in annoyance, "Don't you believe me?"

"Your heartbeat, it's getting faster. You're breathing deeper. You also avoid looking at my eyes too. Those don't seem normal, right? There's only us here so don't worry. You can tell me everything."

Staring at Jae Hyun for a few seconds and sighing, Hae Won suddenly unfastened the two top buttons of her shirt and sagged a side of the shirt down, exposing part of her chest.

"Hey what are you doing? Button your shirt," Jae Hyun was flustered by her action.

"Don't worry, I still have my bra," she flatly said and then pointed at the left side of her chest, "Now look here! The girl in the video was stabbed here, right?"

"Mm-hmm," Jae Hyun awkwardly nodded his head.

"But I don't have a wound here, right? So of course, she wasn't me, understand that?" she said and looked straight at Jae Hyun's eyes.

"Oh... I see," he agreed with her.

"Wait for me here, I'll go to change my clothes," Hae Won said, picking up her PE attire and walking into the changing room.

Jae Hyun was finally convinced that Hae Won was not that girl, but he still felt something eerie in the back of his mind. A mysterious voice in his head kept telling him that she was the girl. Even he himself could not explain why he felt that way. He tried to persuade himself that he was wrong and she was right, not even knowing that he was actually right. His mother told him that he had her five super senses, but maybe his sixth sense was equally good too.

As Hae Won emerged from the changing room, she asked Jae Hyun to help her hold her ankles while she practised crunches. Saying yes to that request, he never knew that it would lead to an undesired outcome. The sound of her breathing every time she sat up, as well as the way her face got closer to his face, overwhelmed his emotions. Despite trying to close his eyes and even recall the periodic table to distract and calm himself down, he did not succeed and he flew up in her astonishment. That did not last long and he dropped onto the floor after only a few seconds but it was enough for Hae Won to realise his ability.

After Jae Hyun successfully regained his composure, Hae Won pulled him to the bench and talked to him and found out about his special power.

"So you can really fly?" she gave him a bottle of water.

"Mm-hmm," he nodded his head, "Not really flying, I'd rather call it floating as I cannot control it. Whenever I get too excited, I'll fly."

"Oh... so that's it... But wait..." she peered at him. "You get excited when you're with me although we haven't known each other for so long? Do you like me or what?" she pointed her finger at him and jocularly remarked.

"Hey, that's not w... arghhh," he flew up in the air even before he could finish his sentence. Lucky for him, Hae Won pressed him down in time.

"Actually, I have super power too, you know?"

"You do?"

"I did not want to let anyone know that, but...knowing that you also have super power makes me feel more... comfortable to tell you... I guess..."  she softly smiled at him, "And... I am actually... the girl in that video."

"Wait what?" he quizzically stared at her, "So... that's why you could survive that battle?"

"Yeah! I can heal myself," she chuckled.

"What?" he covered his mouth and gaped at her in horror, "So you when through all those things, fighting the bullies and getting hurt... because of me."

"It's not because of you," she sniggered, "It's my choice."

"Then why? Why are you so nice to me?"

"I'll tell you that after training, I gotta do some running now," she smiled at him and quickly stood up to warm up before running.

Meanwhile, at the same time, in North Korea, the higher-ups had found out about the video of Hae Won fighting the bullies.

"She has super power, doesn't she?" the Minister of Military gave his subordinate a mischievous grin.

"It's likely the case, sir," said his subordinate, the flying man who shot Jae Hyun's father, now having a scar on his cheek.

"I guess... we should send someone to this school to check on this girl, isn't it?" he looked at the footage and smiled, "Let's go there, Seodong High-school, Namwon... and find out who she is!"
