A'dab.
The name A'dab means hope or need in Arabic. This short story is about a nine-year old little girl in Kashmir,a war-ridden valley, in a land of confusion and fear with the dying hope for freedom.A valley disconnected from the rest of the world as Indian army forces take over. This story might be triggering as it contains violence. I wrote this in the hope that people may support Kashmir independence. This story was based on the true story of Afshana Farooq, a 14-year-old who was nearly trampled in a stampede when Indian forces opened fire on demonstrators when she and her father were going to prayer.Another story which angered me was a picture showing a three-year-old child sitting on his grandfather's dead body in Sopore town of Indian-administered Kashmir when Indian security forces opened fire assuming that he carried a gun when he didn't .These are just one of various stories. The Kashmir conflict is a territorial conflict over the Kashmir region, primarily between India and Pakistan, with China playing a third-party role. At the moment it is under the control of the Indian army.carrying out beatings and torture in the wake of the government's decision to strip the region of its autonomy. The Indian army has called them "baseless and unsubstantiated". A holocaust goes on as the rest of the world remains silent.cover made by me :) (plz follow my Instagram art and poetry acc @_khadijaahsan)…
