Chapter 11 - The Ager
After waking up from my night terror, I thought about a lot of things. Things like; How come she knew where I lived? How come she only goes after young people? How come she went after me in the dream, not Chico. Was that a sign telling me something? All I really wanted to know is how to get out of this chair. I didn't see Orthina in the room but, I did see the little girl. I thought if I did escape, I would have better chances with the girl than Orthina. I only had two downsides to this. One is how to get out of the chair and two what if the girl catches me? She almost caught me the other day on the bike, think of the chances of what she could do with me on foot. I had to be alone to escape.
I found out what to do when I escape. But how to escape? I can't move and I don't have a knife on me. I needed to get these ropes off. The ropes were old and torn belts. The rope on my right hand there was a little cut already made in the left said by my thumb, maybe if I rip it with my thumb and my index finger. And maybe, just maybe the rope will unravel.
"Hey, little girl," I yelled to the girl while trying to get her attention.
"What do you want? I'm not supposed to be talking to you." The girl said while looking down at the dirty ground.
"Could you get me a glass of water? My throat is dry." I said while fake coughing.
"Water? What am I your maid? Get it yourself." The girl said while rolling her eyes.
"Oh my god! I can't, please." I said while putting on a fake smile.
"Fine." She said while getting up and walking out of the room.
I was finally alone at last. It's gone time! I tried ripping the rope with my thumb. It didn't completely rip but, it did untighten it a lot. I could wiggle my hand around now. I tried slipping the rope off my hand but, it wasn't loose enough. I grabbed the rope with my thumb and my index finger and pulled it as hard as I could. The rope didn't unravel like I was planning for it to do but, it was loose enough to pull my hand free. I slipped my hand free and then unties my other hand. I was. free!
I got out of the chair and stretched for a second. I then walked over to the girls' stool and threw it out the cracked window. The window shattered into a million pieces. I then threw myself out the window and landing on Orthina's driveway of her house. I ran as fast as I could even though my whole body lacked pain. I was finally free, or at least I thought I was.
What do you think is going to happen? Was it well said? Wants to go on in your head after reading this chapter. Are there any mistakes? (Spelling, grammar, punctuation?)
