Chapter 10

Star

The next day I got up and got ready. We had to ware dresses. Yah, not really. I got ready with a long dress that had one strap and I could some what walk in it. I wore my hair up but had my hair parted to the side so it looked sorta nice. After I got ready I put a little bit of heal on and realized there was no way I would be able to walk in heals with this dress.

I cut a slit on the side of it and then new I was ready. Lucky it was outside and I didn't have to work or anything so I was free. Maybe today would be a good day. I got in my car and drove over to the school. I looked around and found Alicia and Madison standing at one of the tables. "Hey" I said to them as I walked over to them "OMG you look so cute" Alicia said as I smiled.

"Don't remind me" I said "I think I have worn more dresses in this month then I have ever worn in my whole life" I said leaning on the table. We started making fun of some of the girls outfights as they came. "If she wares a shorter dress I think she'll have to turn that into a shirt" Alicia said making me laugh. "And how am I doing" I turn around as my friends made fun of some other people. I see Klaus in a nice tux, I sighed "your, perfect" I said with a role of my eyes at him. Klaus smiled at me.

"Just so beyond annoying I can't even look at you" I said with a smile and looked at Klaus who was smiling. "Come on" I said and walked with Klaus towards the drinks. He pored me something to drink and handed it to me. "So is this like the new Klaus, poring me drinks and dressing up" I asked as we walked and I took a sip of my drink.

"I guess for you I can surprise people" Klaus said with a smile. "Oh really" I said raising an eye brow. Alicia walked up to us "hi, I'm Alicia" she said a little bit more happy then she should be. Why did she have to come over here? "Hello" Klaus said with a nod of the head "okay, lets go" I said polling Klaus away "wait, where are you going" Alicia asked confused.

"Um, to go grab something to eat" I lied "I'll come with" Alicia said "I'd really prefer if you didn't" I said starting to get annoyed. "Well why not I mean I just want to talk" "will you just leave me alone" I said mad. She looked at me shocked a bit. "What is with you" I asked Alicia confused and mad "ever since this Klaus guy has come into your life you've been different". "Because I am different and you would be able to tell if you opened your eyes and stopped acting like your queen of the world or something" I yelled at Alicia. Klaus walked up to me "easy love your making a scene" Klaus said and I rolled my eyes at him.

"Wow, nice to know how you really feel" Alicia said and walked away as I sighed mad "Star" Klaus started. "No Klaus" I quickly said and looked at him "I told you that I finally had a life here and now your ruining it just like I said. Don't talk to me" I said mad and walked away from him. I sat down on a bench and saw Klaus walking over with two glasses and some champion.

I scotched over and Klaus sat down "you let me sit" Klaus said a bit surprised "mostly because I could use some champion" I said. "You've been drinking a lot" Klaus said to me a bit surprised "well, I've been trying to keep my mind off of you" I said wishing I didn't say anything to him as he opened the bottle and pored some for me.

I took it "did you hear, there's this talk about a cure for vampires" I said taking a sip "yes, I have" Klaus said with a smile. A thought came to my mind "would you ever take it" I asked looking at him? "Now why would I ever want to cure myself of being the most powerful creature on the planet" Klaus asked? I nodded, agreeing.

"So there's not one time in your entire life that you wanted to be human" I asked and Klaus gave me a look like "really your asking me that question". "What about you, have you ever thought of becoming a vampire" Klaus asked me. "Now why would I want to do that when in a way I already have control over the most powerful vampire ever" I asked with a smile.

"Good point" Klaus said "but I mean really" Klaus stood up, opening a small paper "don't you want to feel the wind threw your hair as you run fast threw the woods". I quickly looked at Klaus "is a my English paper, give that back" I said standing up and trying to grab it making Klaus laugh "or being able to hear someone's laugh from miles away" Klaus said and stopped as we both laughed.

"Very funny Klaus" I said taking the paper from him and sitting back down. We decided to go back to the dinner but Klaus stopped and looked at me "I never did answer your question if I ever thought of being human? I did once, when I saved this girl from myself, the fear in her eyes, how she must have felt about dying but at the same time welcoming it when it came. That was the only time I ever thought about being human". He was talking about me. I looked at him in silence but smiled a bit.

"And I never answered your question if I had ever thought of being a vampire" I said? "A few times, when I wanted to get as far away from you" I said with a smirk making Klaus do a small smile and we continued to walk back to the party. After another hour of talking Klaus stood up and held out his hand "I think you oh me a dance".

I looked at Klaus and sighed but took it as he led me to this dance floor where some people were dancing. "Wait here" Klaus said as he went up to the small DJ and then came back as Gold Forever by The Wanted came on and I laughed as Klaus walked up to me. "Really" I asked as he held out his hand and I took it as he spun me around and then grabbed me as we swayed side to side with the music.

"So, this is what caring Klaus acts like" I said with a small smile "and this is what Star looks like in a dress" Klaus said making us both chuckle. "I'm really glade you came, even though I wanted a no vampire day, this works" I said with a smile as I looked at Klaus. "I'm glade you gave me a chance" Klaus said as I laid my head on his shoulder.

"I wish this wouldn't end. Having a normal day, being some what normal" I said as Klaus listened. "I'm happy we're at least friends" Klaus said to me and I looked at him "the day I stop telling you is the day we're no longer best friends. I hope that day never comes" I said and Klaus smiled as I laid my head on his shoulder again.

"Klaus you should no something, I've decided to go and visit Stefan" I said and Klaus backed up a bit so I would look at him. "Why" "so I can say goodbye, so I can finally be able to look at Damon and say "go to hell" I said with a smile. "Please Klaus, I need this, and you can't be there to make sure I'm all right or anything. Just stay here and watch over the town for me" I said almost sounding like I was begging.

Klaus let go of me "after everything, you still want to go back" Klaus said. "Klaus it's not what it sounds like" I quickly say. "Really, because it sounds like you're running right back to Damon like you've always done" Klaus said and got in my face. "I hope you two are happy together". Klaus walked past me mad as I stood there with a sigh and headed to y car, driving back to my apartment.
