Chapter 9
Chapter 9
Star
I sat on my counter as I grabbed some water and poured it on my scratches. I heard a small noise and quickly turned around to see Klaus standing silently. “You scared me” I said as I sat up straighter with Klaus looking at the ground. “Thank you, again” I said and Klaus looked at me “thank you for saving me” I said. Klaus sighed “always will”.
“Klaus what do you want” Klaus looked at me a bit confused “I'm asking what did you want when you came back here” I asked. Klaus thought for a second “to be friends at least” Klaus said. “How do you think you deserve my friendship when you've done nothing to earn it” I asked.
Klaus looked at me mad as I slide of the counter and stood “I've shown kindness, forgiveness, pity, caring, and everything you wanted but you still don't care” I walked past Klaus mad “don't turn your back on me” Klaus yelled running in front of me. “I should have turn my back on you ages ago, but I never have and you always find me, why” I yelled in his face. “Because I love you” Klaus yelled at me then was silent as I sighed “I will give you a second chance, but show me I can trust you, show me” I said to Klaus.
Klaus was silent as he seemed like he was deep in thought “friends, then” Klaus asked with a small smile. I smiled “if that's what you want to call it” I walked towards my room “go on a date with me then, one date for saving your life” I looked at Klaus and rolled my eyes fine, but Klaus, I won't make it easy for you” I said with a smile. Klaus smile “you never have” I rolled my eyes at him as he ran off and I shut my door, going to bed.
I woke up the next morning and sat up jumping a bit when I saw Klaus sitting in my chair looking at me. “Klaus, what are you doing here” I asked still half asleep “nothing, thinking, by the way your friend Alicia texted you” I quickly grabbed my phone. “You didn't tell me you were helping out with a dinner for the graduates” I looked up at Klaus “you went threw my phone” I asked as Klaus just smiles.
I grab my pillow and threw it at him but he catches it easily with a laugh “I didn't tell you because you're not coming” I said looking at my phone. “And why not” Klaus asked making me look at him “because your not, I want to have at least one normal day without vampires”. “You're not normal” Klaus said “you know I'm really starting to rethink this whole friendship with you” I said getting out of bed.
Klaus's smile disappeared when he saw my scratches “do you want me to take care of that for you love” Klaus asked nodding to my scratches. “No” I said “you say you've changed when you really haven't” Klaus said to me with a smirk as I left my room and went into my kitchen.
After getting ready I had to get over to the school so we could get things ready for tomorrow's dinner. I headed over to school and headed over to Shelly who was in charge of everything. “Star I want you to put these flowers on every table, no slaking” Shelly said. She was mean today, well then again she is everyday. I walked over to the table that had all the flowers on it.
I took some and spread them out, there was a lot of tables and Shelly wanted them to be perfect so I practically spent a half an hour making sure they where good. “Star” I looked over to see Alicia walking over to me “hey where were you after the party” “um, talking to Klaus” I said. I wasn't completely lying.
“Oh, so are you two a thing now” she asked with a smile and I shook my head “no we are not”. Alicia leaned on the table and looked past me “apparently he didn't get the message”. I quickly turned around and saw Klaus walking in and looking around. I sighed “have fun” Alicia said with a wink and went to make sure everything was perfect.
“Go away Klaus I'm busy” I said as Klaus walked up to me while I was finish moving the last flowers around. “I never knew you as the planning type” Klaus said to me “well when I came here I wanted a new start so I started doing things I would never think of doing before” I said. “I was wondering what time I should pick you up tomorrow” Klaus asked me “how about a quarter to never” I said looking at him.
Klaus smiled “oh come on now love” “no Klaus, I told you I want a day with no vampires and the last time I checked you were a vampire” I said. “I was promised a date for saving your friend's life” “yes a date to a movie where we don't have to look at each other and I can sit at least 8 rows behind you” I said annoyed. “Surly my little hunter isn't going to this dinner alone” “I'm not you're little hunter Klaus” I said. “You were” Klaus said with a smile.
“Fine, if it will get you off my back I will go with you, meet me here at 5:00 PM” I said starting to walk away. “And no dress, I already have one” I said to him mad and he nodded with a smile. “I'll see you tomorrow Star” Klaus yelled behind me as I walked back inside.
