20.

After kissing Sol A, Professor Yang gently stroked her face, pulled her into his arms, and ended a long exhausting day.

The next morning

Since he had just returned, Professor Yang was very busy. He didn’t even have time to take Sol A out for breakfast, so he called her.
“Yoboseyo?”
“Nae?”
“Sol A, this morning I can’t go with you. Please have breakfast with Ye Sul instead.”
“Arasso, make sure you eat too.”
“Umm, I’ll see you later.”
“Nae.”

When Sol A arrived at school, she saw Professor Yang waiting in the lobby. Many other professors were also there greeting him and congratulating him. Hearing that made Sol A happy, because the person she loved was so admired. After a while, Professor Yang noticed Sol A. The two of them exchanged smiles.
“Oh, it’s rare to see you smile, Professor Yang.”
“Ani.”
“But I clearly saw you smiling.”
“Aniyo.” Professor Yang shyly said goodbye to everyone and turned away.

In class, the one who walked in was none other than Professor Yang. The whole class cheered, but he didn’t seem pleased. Instead, he responded with a stern look.
“Be quiet.”
The lesson continued in a heavy, tense atmosphere. Nobody even dared to breathe too loudly, afraid of drawing his attention. But unlike the others, Sol A was happy just to have him present in class.

When the lesson ended, Professor Yang walked to the door and loudly called out.
“Sol A!”
“Nae?”
The class suddenly fell silent.
“Come here.”
Sol A stood up and walked to him.
“You called me, professor?”
“After class, go to my office and stay there. Don’t go anywhere. Wait for me, I’ll come get you.”
“Nae?”
Before Sol A could react, Professor Yang had already left. When she returned to her seat, everyone crowded around to ask.
“Wae? What did Professor Yang tell you?” Ye Sul asked.
“Ah, um, he just asked about my studies.”
“Jinjja?”
“Umm.”
“Asked about studies but called you out like that?”
“Uh.”
After that, everyone went back to their seats to get ready for the next class.

At the end of the day, everyone was preparing to leave.
“Why aren’t you leaving yet?” Ye Sul asked.
“You and Joon Hwi go first, I’ll stay to finish some things then leave later.”
“Umm, okay, we’ll go ahead.”
“Oke.”
Once everyone was gone, Sol A went to Professor Yang’s office and sat down to wait.

Ten minutes later

“Sorry for making you wait.”
“Aniyo.”
“Shall we go eat now?”
“Nae.”
Professor Yang took Sol A to a barbecue restaurant nearby. The two of them ate and talked a lot since it had been such a long time since they could sit together like this.
“Cheers! Congratulations on your return.”
Professor Yang looked at Sol A and smiled softly.
“Drink less, you still have class tomorrow.”
“You really won’t drink?”
“I have to drive.”
One bottle, then two bottles… Sol A kept drinking and talking, while the professor just sat there smiling at her.

Two hours later

“That’s enough, you still have to go to school tomorrow.”
“Ani, I’m not drunk yet. And tomorrow is Sunday, I don’t have school.”
“Tomorrow is Thursday.”
“SUNDAY.”
“Alright, alright, tomorrow is Sunday. Now let’s go home, tomorrow we’ll go on a date.”
“Aaaa jinjja?”
“Umm.”
“You’re lying, right? Someone as cold as you couldn’t possibly have a girlfriend to go on a date with.” Sol A laughed loudly as she spoke.
“Alright, alright, I don’t have a girlfriend, okay? Go home, I’ll deal with you later.”
He stood up and helped Sol A. She was so drunk her legs couldn’t stand properly, so he guided her into the car, opened the door, and seated her inside. As he buckled her seatbelt, he said,
“I told you to drink less. What if the man next to you wasn’t me, but someone else?”
Before he could finish, Sol A suddenly grabbed his face with both hands.
“Mwo?”
“You’re so cute.” She smiled, then kissed him on the lips. Before he could react, she passed out. He looked at her, smiled, and brushed her hair aside.
“Gwiyeopda.”

Since it was too late, he couldn’t take her back to the dormitory, so he brought her to his own home. He carefully helped her upstairs, opened his room, and gently placed her on the bed. He took off her shoes one by one, tucked her in, kissed her forehead, and said,
“Jajalyo.”

Then he stepped out, quietly closing the door.

Around midnight, Sol A woke up. She looked around but didn’t see Professor Yang. She opened the door and saw him sleeping on the floor, leaning against the sofa. In front of him were piles of documents and a laptop still on. Sol A went back to get a blanket, then returned to cover him. She didn’t go back to her room, but sat there beside him until she unknowingly fell asleep.

By morning, Professor Yang woke up and saw Sol A leaning on his shoulder, still asleep. He smiled, picked her up, and carried her back to bed. Then he went to prepare breakfast for her. After a busy morning of cooking, everything was ready. He went to wake her up.
“Sol A, I’ve prepared breakfast for you. Get up and eat before class.”
“Nae.”
Sol A left the room and walked to the table.
“Wow, why did you cook so much?”
“I just wanted to make it for you.”
“You must be tired, sleeping outside all night and cooking this much in the morning too.”
“Gwaenchana.”
“Ah, try this dish.”
She took a bite.
“Ottae?”
“Massitsso.”
Hearing her praise, he smiled brightly.
“I have something for you.”
“What is it?”
“Open it.”
“Ohh, when did you buy this?”
“This morning, I went to the mall to get it for you.”
“Jinjja?”
“Umm, do you like it?”
“It’s really beautiful.”
It was an outfit he had personally picked for her earlier that morning.
“After you finish eating, change into it. I’ll take you to school.”
“Nae.”

Professor Yang drove Sol A close to the campus and let her out.
“I’ll see you later.”
“Annyeong.”
“Umm.”
After saying goodbye, he drove into the school while Sol A followed behind. The moment she stepped onto campus, everyone looked at her in admiration.
“Wow, that outfit is the newest Chanel release, worth 20M won.”
“I heard there are only two in all of Korea. She’s amazing.”
“Yaaa, this is the first time I’ve seen it in real life. It’s stunning.”
Surrounded by admiration and compliments, Sol A had no idea the clothes she was wearing were limited edition and extremely expensive, not something money alone could buy. Feeling everyone’s eyes on her, she hurried into her classroom.

To be continued.
